Lee - didn't you go to MK (Hockey stadium) when we won 3-1? Parts of me turned purple that day - one of the very few victories away from home that I found difficult to enjoy - just wanted to survive!!!

I remember this game vividly for the same reasons. We were 2-0 up as half time approached and we said if we make 3-0 before half time we will leave.

"Far too much negativity has surrounded this club for more years than I care to remember"
RFC....With sisu receiving such Damming Indictments in the High Courts about the way they manipulated certain situations, almost on a daily manner, to hurt the club and bring the fan base to despair, do you not think that the negativity has been more than justified.

Some good news from last night's Swindon game.

3 injuries (although I feel bad taking that as good news)
1 sending off for their skipper (one match ban-against us) - don't feel bad about that at all!
Extra time defeat - they wll hopefully feel a bit more leg weary and dispirited as a result.

Need all the advantages we can take against these. :claping hands:

Only 550 sold. Not great.
In normql circumstances i would say yes thats poor , but with the season tickets just being put up and the return home the friday after , i can see why they would save almost 30 quid on a trip to swindon

Agree. Plus we took a shed load away last week. There would have been a lot of fans that would have chosen that over Swindon because it was a) nearer and b) a better expected atmosphere.

Having said that the atmosphere was utter shit on Saturday!

I can see Swindon turning us over in this one 2-0 they are a strong side particularly at their home.
I would be delighted with a draw tbh ecstatic with a win out of this one!!

I've been trying the 992326 number to try and talk to someone about our tickets (still haven't come) but there's been no answer. Any other numbers I can try?

They're not very confident. Comment from another forum:

"Looks like we are going into this one with just one fit striker. Kasim will probably have to play centre back too. Thompson, Williams, M Smith, Gladwin, Rodgers and Barker all out/expected to be out. 16-year old Lee Marshall and 17-year old Will Randall could both start, meaning the average age of our likely line-up for Saturday is 20.2."

Disappointing if we are only taking around 600. Thought we could get 1000 with the current buzz, though i understand people spending the money on season tickets etc. Just need a decent atmosphere at Swindon to take something away from there i think . Anyway, i will be there.

Thanks for the tip. Just the sort of game I like. Maybe nearly half the outfield players including the captain out that are favourites to win. Put £20 for us to win @ 13/5
