There's A Couple Of Hours I'll Never Get Back (6 Viewers)

Chief Commentator!
No wonder I couldn't get through on the phone if the queues were that long! 17 outbound calls to the clubs number are currently sat in my call history within 2 hours. And I still didn't get through :(

Try again tomorrow

I don't think the prices are bad really, look at what other teams charge and we're pretty good value.

Never been a fan of prices going up on matchday, can only put people off who think about going at the last minute. Didn't they ditch it at one point as they had constant complaints about it?

Neither clubs supportes have had to put up with what we have over the last year, a long term good will gesture would work for everyone.

I would say an offer so cheap is a gesture of goodwill.

The chaos had to be expected I suppose. I hope they get it sorted and make it fairly painless enough to satisfy the huge demand for the first game back. All that said though years back, you made your way to the ground and paid your way in and they shut the gates when they were full if it ever got to that. I don't really care where I sit for this match, the price is acceptable enough for that. For the future I'll buy tickets for individual matches as and when I can and when I can afford it. Eventually if I can learn to trust the hedge fund again or we have new owners I suppose I'll revert back to an ST !! One step at a time though !

Queued up for my season tickets today, took nearly a couple of hours altogether. Apart from current STH they were also doing tickets for those affected by the closure of the North/Telegraph stand. My advice is get there early when they go on general sale. Not sure how they'll cope with the numbers.

the que was a bit of a long wait but its one of the happiest ive ever been in everyone is in good spirits and is buzzing to talk about the return my advice would be take a drink and embrace it as part of the return experience

Sounds like Friday is going to be a nightmare. What's the chances of the club doing late night opening on Friday? I have to work until 5pm and then get over from Rugby and I'm busy Saturday.

There was a woman wandering down the aisle asking if any had any questions. A few, including myself, questioned the reasoning behind closing the whole of the Telegraph stand, which will be rubbish when our team is attacking that end. Why not just close the top blocks and push people closer to the pitch all round? She said the main reason was that it affected least people; she said there were 1000 STH there and 6000 in the East stand. They will open the North stand only when the size of the crowd dictates.

She also said no stand has got any name yet (Lloyds Pharmacy, Telegraph, etc) as the Club could get their own sponsors for the stands.

I've ended up in Block Ten in the old away stand.

Block 10 is good. You'll enjoy it there.

If they made it £5 quid a game, you would ask for £4 "as a gesture of goodwill"

Why on earth not

It is, but maybe go one better for a few games at reduced rates, there may be a lot of people in the ground next week expecting to see top class performances all around, what happens if all they see is drivel and a team that looks like it cant score or string more that 3 passes together, that will be a lot of people leaving thinking im glad i didnt pay top price to see that rubbish, think they would return at full price?
Discounted tickets for a few games will possibly keep people returning whatever the outcome and may re-ignite a spark in some that so many claim to have lost!

My 2p`s worth.

I was sure you posted in the wrong thread, i only read the title, i answered that here all the same :)
I am merely pointing out the facts.

Yeovil - £25 per ticket
Rochdale - terracing at £18 per ticket going up to. £24 for seating

Look at a really deprived town below us in the leagues - Mansfield - £22 a ticket.

Its ridiculous to expect the club to be well below these levels especially as when they did have low prices at the Ricoh recently they did not improve attendances. We play Scunthorpe I think in February midweek and I can assure you the attendance will be not much difference if its £14 or £24.

I think after the last 12mths what they have lost financially, not making quite so much immediately but earning some nice pr would go a long way.

A few of them freebies probably had decent signing on fees are on a good bonus and possibly earning a fair wage for this league.

Who?
Another comment with no substance.

As for the cost it has never bothered me what it costs, even thou I wouldn't have gone into Northampton if you had paid me.

I am happy to pay more if they spend it on the squad.
The quality of the Squad should determine the attendance fee?

Oh and Grendel as shitfields was a superior ground in your eyes why didn't you pay more for your tickets yes another comment to derail a thread.........

Anyway back to the Thread I am quite happy they haven't moved us from block 16 so should have the old seat back......

You might be pretty lonely in there though, most people seem to be moving behind the goal, at least those I have spoken to say they will. Makes sense I suppose, the view from the corners isn't great and I always felt quite detatched from the game there. Will be interesting to see how many relocate. Could be an opportunity to create a proper 'end' for once.

I would imagine our squad is paid more than Mansfield but they charge the same as us - anyway moving on...

I will personally donate £1.000 to your favourite charity if you can find one statement from me that stated its a superior ground. I have stated the Ricoh is superior to Highfield road

Stop making up rubbish.
