Just read the articals on coventry city fc mad about ROD and cant help to feel sorry for him he came he looking for a chance last season and hoofroyd kept him out the squad bar 9 mins of football in a hole season and now hes trying to make up for it this season he even said he has to change his game to fit in with the style of play its hard playing four games and already he has to change how he plays and were taking the mick out of him ive done it but i regret that now

No regrets from me - basically he is out of his depth at this level, not his fault and I am sure he is trying his hardest but he simply isn't good enough. The style of play is immaterial - its a lack of basic ability that's the issue, but at the moment we have no option. Will always support him or anyone else in a Cov shirt during the game but certainly don't expect him to be in the side once Eastwood is fit.

ROD has NEVER scored a championship goal, that puts him behind the Tree in my pecking order as it stands.

Was a very strange signing by Boothroyd. Got him in on a 3 year contract and then didn't give him a chance. Not really good enough at Championship level but it seemed that Boothroyd didn't really know what he was buying and just took a gamble that spectacularly backfired.

I still don't think he's that bad.

Why would I feel sorry him? He is probably being paid a couple of grand a week?

It would be like Chelsea buying me and paying me £5k a week even though I am Sunday League level... Quite lucky if you ask me!

Not really feeling too sorry for him, they must not have really impressed (like freddy) to gain a first team place, he cannot hit a barndoor at the moment.

I don't feel sorry for him! The youngsters at Coventry have an amazing opportunity to play first team football. The only reason they are getting so much play time is because we cannot field anybody else. ROD Definitely wouldn't be getting the chances and experience he has here if he was at most other clubs.

i dont feel sorry for him, he isnt good enough and was a mistake from aidy giving him a 3 year deal!

ill support him 100% tho while he is on the pitch in sky blue, it isnt his fault he is having to play at the moment but we dont have much option!

It was a very strange signing. Neither AB or AT seem to keen on him. So maybe it was a Coleman signing before he was sacked?
am sure it was a boothroyd signing based on rod playing well for hartlepool against his then colchester side.

unfortunately 1st appearances can be deceiving as micky adams found out when he signed clayton ince after having a good game once against us!

I feel sorry for him that he appears to be unwanted and to be rejected by the same club twice is hard to take but if you're not good enough then you're not good enough, simple fact really.
