From what I recall, it was a breach of club discipline, which was never revealed. It sounded like the decision wasn't a footballing one

he wrote on twitter "dont worry cov fans i will score 35 goals in league 1 for you next season" when we got relegated and thorn said he had a bad cocky attitude and released him (as far as i know, if im totally wrong someone please correct me)

Yeah I think his attitude was terrible.
I'm sure he slagged cov off soon as he left aswell and celebrated in front of our fans when scored against us clown!

Sky Blues complete transfer deadline day loan signing of central defender from Championship side Middlesbrough
Coventry City have completed the signing of defender Seb Hines on a short-term loan deal from Championship side Middlesbrough subject to Football League and FA approval.

The 26-year-old, who can play both centre-half and right-back, has agreed a loan deal with the Sky Blues until January 4th, 2014.

Hines progressed through the youth ranks at Middlesbrough and went on to make 74 appearances in all competitions for the Championship side, including starting four of their six opening games of the 2014/15 campaign, and City manager Steven Pressley has welcomed his signing.

Pressley said: "We've been looking to bring in another defender and I'm delighted to see a player of Seb's quality join the club.

"With the 3-5-2 system that we have been using I said all along that we may look at bringing in an extra defender if that was the route we took and in Seb we have someone who brings great experience and adds quality to the squad."
