I think we're coming straight back from cov after the game.so,we'll need some nice hot food for our journey. can anyone recommend a decent Chinese, chip shop or indian on that side of town please ? that would be open at that time .

Also, what's the best pub before the game for atmosphere ? I've heard the wheatsheaf is good ?

Wheatsheaf will be heaving for sure, unsure on chinese indians but could try the Mexican opposite the ground near Tesco

Doesn't the Wheatsheaf have a takeaway at the bottom of the garden and a chippy?

Charlies Plaice is a very good chippy about 5/10 mins from the ground. It's on Sewall Highway. On a Friday it closes about 10:30pm

Is it still a nightmare to get booked in there?

Yes it's a nightmare to book. However they only take bookings for a section of the tables, the rest they leave for walk ins. So you'll be able to get a table but may have to wait 40-60mins. Amazing food though, well worth the wait IMO.

Asiana on Holbrook Lane is a good Indian. Opposite it is Arena Fish & Chip shop which is pretty good.

I use Chengs Garden in Jubilee Crescent for chinese. Not sure if it'll be open after the game though.
