i respect your views ccfc manager, but personally i wouldnt have fancied a season where i was moved to, they stopped selling season tickets at the cut off point where me and my family are, so in front of us we had the fans that wasnt interested in watching the game, just spent the whole time stood up trying to wind the away fans up smoking and spent the majority of the game in the bar pretty much like i would have done when i was a teenager! but these guys was in their fifties lol would be better putting them in singers corner, if you stop selling tickets high up in the telegraph stand that will upset the younger ones that always bought tickets to stand on the very top row they was always noisy and created a lot of noise im sure the stewards will vouch for that as they spent most of the game trying to steward them

That's fair enough, by the sounds of it they moved you to south stand? If you don't want to be next to the away fans or have people around spoiling the match for you then I respect that.
But there are other solutions to that other than reopening the north stand, there are 12 blocks in the east stand open. Blocks 23-25 would be the furthest away from the away fans so I'd imagine there wouldn't be as much of what you described in that area of the stand.
Tbh I doubt the younger fans will be that bothered about closing the telegraph higher up, young fold tend to take these sort of things in their stride more easily and just get on with it without complaining.
Good news, never thought it was a good idea to have us attacking an empty stand - nothing better than going mental in the North Stand when we score a last minute winner at that end. Plus I think it's a bit of a myth that we can't create an atmosphere if fans are scattered around the ground. We respond to what's happening on the pitch and that's what creates the atmosphere. There's been many games in the past (Chelsea in the cup for example) where we've sold out and there's been no atmosphere at all as there is nothing to get excited about on the pitch. On the other hand we've had games with 8k attendances where everyone sings along if we're winning. Get the team right, and everything else will fall into place.

Decent compromise. Should do the same with away fans in the south stand.
Ideally all the way around the ground but that's not possible now.

The South stand blocks are now closed off. The police state strikes again. Suspect WMP were asking for additional money to police outside away end.

South stand better. No sun in your eyes is a plus point. I would not want to be in the north stand.

Personally I'm happy with this - I don't like the thought of not having fans behind both goals. It just seemed an odd solution to me, and one that was more about saving money than generating atmosphere
Having said that, I really enjoyed my first time in the South Stand. Whether it would be as good with half the people in it is debateable I guess, but the view and atmosphere was excellent.

Think this is a foolish idea personally. The justification for moving everyone to the South Stand was that the atmosphere was poor under the old seating arrangements. Therefore they have already acknowledged that the atmosphere will be poor this season.
If they had just left alone and had it how it was to start with then fine. But to close a stand, open a new one, and then close the new one, and reopen the old one, all in two weeks just looks very amateurish.

Yes but with the away end being so big and so few away fans it is still like only behind one goal.
We wouldn't need a closed stand if we can keep the attendances up and every one makes their best efforts (affordability of course) to attend as many as they can.
For the first time ever the telegraph made alot of noise Friday night, however I imagine this was due the unusual crowd being in that stand, otherwise, I am afraid so.

Just got the call. We are moving back to our old seats. What a waste of time and money.
I agree it is a morgue 90% of the time, I think it was mainly for people who wished to sit behind a goal, but now, hopefully we have two stands to choose from.

It was improved, but still 80% were sitting down.
I wouldn't want to be in a stand which has its back rows closed... Atmosphere will drift away.

Agreed with the atmosphere comment, although a clustered group would make more of an atmosphere, but lets face it, only the corner / south will generate an atmosphere if permitting we are allowed next to the away fans and the corner will always generate a atmosphere for those in it.
For a true buzzing atmosphere though in all areas of the ground we need 20k minimum in their week in week out.
Hoping more will be coming back now.

Yeah, there was a good number sitting down, but they were joining in with most of the songs due to the close proximity to the corner.
