up there in the top 10 worst forum posts of all time.

Given what the people of this city have done to rescue this football club over the past 18 months (recognised throughout the game), to then suggest we 'don't derserve a football club' because we're set for a home gate of about 11,000 in the third division (pretty much bang on our average 2 seasons ago) is just laughable.
The thing is 'the rescue' was not attending. The recovery surely needs to be the opposite. Otherwise it wasn't a rescue at all but a convenience thing.

So if prices were permanently reduced City would achieve regular 30k gates? Based on the highest average of the last 30 years being 21k.

How does it stack up with FFP?

Not saying 30k but if tickets were reduced to £19.50 then I reckon you would get a few thousand more for sure. I would also drop the £2 charge and encourage as many fans as possible not give them reasons to not come FP.

I do agree. The matchday surcharge is unnecessary especially considering the large number of floating fans City has.

Have been trying to get online shop but it just keeps saying there is a problem. Same happens for my business partner when he tries. Have both requested the details of password etc several times over last week or so. No response. Clearly there are still issues and that wont help ticket sales

Frustrating to say the least!

Drama Queen. After the over the top emotional scenes on Friday following our return we now see potentially 18K walk away within 6 days. And then by page after page on here of people justifying it by saying we should be charging non-league prices. It's pathetic.

I'm not walking away and neither are you, we aren't blaming ticket prices either though as it is for other reasons. :)

I don't blame ticket prices. I blame successive owners of our club not giving two shits about the fans (call it modern football if you like), with Sisu being the worst of the lot.

My comments on another thread about marketing the club in the community to bring people back on board (build bridges) includes lowering prices. This will encourage more to go - and even more if the team does well.

Lame comments about people walking away (its the fans fault or they are not proper fans) are way off the mark - but you agreed with it, so fine.

Of coarse he agrees their are a small minority on here that feel Coventry and it's people are shit.

They also believe this is exclusive to Coventry doesn't happen at any other Club!!

Their argument is that lowering prices will also lower the Crowd?

I just think that people need to get outside their little bubble a bit more - when my circumstances change, I shall have a season ticket again and the cost (within reason) is unlikely to trouble me too much. And when this happens, I certainly won't be have llittle digs in the ribs of fellow Cov fans who only attend occasionally (good luck with job hunting by the way LAST).

Show where anyone says that we should charge non league prices.........although Sheff United sell tickets for less than all the conference sides except for two for some games.

What is so wrong with following ideas from the club in our division that get nearly 7,000 more than the next best supported club which is Bradford, and their attendances are so high because they sell season tickets for £199. It is pathetic that some try to make out it is so wrong to consider other options than charging the full amount and £2 on top if you pay on the day and then insinuate that others are saying that we should charge non league prices.

Why not try reading what the words say instead of what you want them to say?

Fucking hell Nick I Know I'm not working, but If I quote every post on here where it has been said or suggested It will take me forever and may even crash your site.

So here's one being a bandwagoners does that not suggest being a poor/shit fan????

Or am I misinterpreting the meaning of the Posters?:thinking about::thinking about:

Where has anybody called anybody a shit fan?

Many on the three ticket price threads that are doing the rounds presently have numerous posters suggesting the price should be about £15. Nuneaton charge £14 terracing, £16 stand. Answer your question?

I thought Sheff U prices start at £18 the same as ours? And I thought it was reported that most clubs charge a min £2 walk up? I can see an argument for getting rid of that if there is evidence that it would make a difference.

Honest question - do you really think more than say, a thousand, would be rushing to the Ricoh on Saturday if the prices were £4 cheaper? No, most (NOT ALL as I have stated on numerous occasions) use price as an excuse because they don't care enough.

Then why is price not a factor to some fans that is the argument here.

Like I said earlier must have been 15 kids around us probably their first match may not come again, may not have even been at that game if they had, had to pay full price.
I don't think anybody would hold anything against people that couldn't afford it or expect them to get into debt for it would they? I certainly wouldn't?

I wouldn't say a bandwagoner would be defined as somebody who doesn't go to every game because they physically can't afford it though. I would say somebody who has only been to Gillingham and Crewe for example and even if they had all the money in the world they still probably wouldn't go because they aren't actually that fussed.

As do we for some games - like Friday, 'bring a mate for a tenner', 'kids for a quid', etc.

And to be fair - people have suggested it should be £15 and at least one has suggested £10.

Therefore a shit fan?

Skybluelee has just quoted in the thread above "they just don't care enough"
Does that also not make them shit fans.

People can use what ever terminology they want to hide what they mean, but the outcome is the same.[

I'm not suggesting it should be a £10 but would it be worth it if we sold 25k weekly?

It is only you saying shit fan though? I just said somebody who wasn't actually that arsed about football and the club its self but going to be on the bandwagon.

The deciding factor I guess would be "would you go at £20, would you go at £25?" to see who would stop going because of the fiver. Yes it all adds up over a season I don't doubt that, I don't doubt the club's PR is shite either but for some (not all) it just seems like another excuse, especially after the amount of £4.50 beer was sold on Friday.
