Honestly, last night we started a little slower than usual but we did look like we could still spring forward with efficiency, something that was proven for the opening goal, at that point we looked settled and based on form I backed us to go on and win, however that changed when Reda got sent off, some people say he did, some people said he didn't, however Pressley and Reda's reaction after defeat tells you all need to know, despite that the referee and his official were atrocious.. The first goal for Scunthorpe was offside and by that I mean the way McSheffery came back from an offside position to pick up the ball to get it to Madden.

Second half Scunny brought on a sub with decent pace and it was always going to be difficult as they looked to hit us with speed and ultimately it paid off, after that we seemed to wake up, we brought on Miller and Swanson and we looked a lot better and gave it a go up until the end.

As for the season honours go, to say we will win the league is vivid by any stretch of the imagination, however we are only 8 games in, there is a long way to go and we are in as good as place as any to do well (4 points off second), with regards to Scunthorpe, you'll need to hope last nights result will be the catalyst to your season otherwise unfortunately I can see you heading back to which you came.

Can I also say out of the 20 odd years I have watched the City, last nights referee was one of the worst, coupled with his officials a blind man and a dog could have officiated better, no concept of the little tricks and constant fouls that Scunthorpe were committing yet very quick to blow in there direction, only emphasised by the fact that City fans celebrated when he gave a decision our way like we had scored.

Just got back home from Scunthorpe as we decided to stay up there in a b & b. Totally agree with both Craig & Robo's sentiments, terrible referee and linesman down our end, their first goal was offside and not sure about Reda's sending off but he should have blown for the foul that led to it anyway. Up till then thought we played well and would have won it otherwise. O'Brien man of the match for me, but they all played their socks off, particularly after the sending off, but it was always going to be difficult having only 10 men for so long.

Going to be a long hard season but it is starting to come together slowly, and who knows?

Did Reda actally nut this guy, cos I'm pretty sure (from past experiences of "dropping the nut") if he had, the bloke wouldn't be standing there in a "come on" attitude but crying on the floor with a busted nose.

If Reda didn't contact him, on what grounds did the ref red card him?? I think they should appeal it as surely you can't be sent off for something that didn't happen
