I like this line:

I have no idea what the supporters of Wasps would feel about this

Then when you Google him, a description of him is:

Bob Ainsworth, Labour MP for Coventry north east, who has been extremely critical of Sisu's conduct and the Football League for agreeing to the Northampton move

CCFC need to say they are interested in buying the club otherwise ACL will do this. Its sad really, I'm hoping this forces Seppala to come out and offer to buy ACL or equivalent to what the Wasps are doing.

“I have no idea what the supporters of Wasps would feel about this.”

Then frankly, how the hell can Ainsworth say it's a good idea. It's code for "I couldn't give a toss what the supporters of Wasps would feel about this"...

I presume he won't be calling for the RFU to step in and stop this then. I agree, whether it's good for the city of Coventry or not, this is a hypocritical stance.

I think we are going to break a record for the first thread in ages where everybody agrees :)

And of course I'd guess this MP would also say 'it's good for CCFC as well'?

IN HIS DREAMS!

Nice to feel the football club is so welcome. LOL

Well, to be fair it would be good for Coventry. As I said in the other thread I know less than nothing about egg chasing, but from what I gather the fans aren't too happy so this seems a little off. But his issue has been the business practice of Sisu more than the issue of clubs moving from the little I've read.

Sorry, trying to get angry, just couldn't really care about Rugby no matter how hard I try.

Rugby was mugging you off, said you were a jumped up wannabe teacher who loves ACL. Not going to take that are you?

NOPM unless its some other poor chumps getting screwed over

Fine I won't go to any Wasps games and will refuse to buy merchandise.

I feel sympathy for their fans and will sign any epetitions I need to or click like on their Facebook page, but let's be honest we care more about CCFC just like every other set of fans did with us.

Blundering Bob strikes again. How this chump was ever a cabinet minister is staggering.

hes a hero to some on here.

I know. Jack once said if I called him blundering Bob - one of the biggest second home expense claimants when cabinet minister by the way - he may "take action".

He once claimed that the ridicule he received from the national newspapers was because he had a moustache. No Bob it is because most observers considered you the worst MOD in British political history.

That's shocking, everybody knows a moustache gets respect!

Why did they think that?

Didn't his scooter have enough mirrors?

The tash makes me think of him as some kind of ageing refugee from the Beatles - probably why he wanted to legalise all hard drugs.

Grendel, he seems the perfect candidate for a cabinet minister, clueless and out of touch. I like the way he thinks it might not be damaging to Coventry Rugby Club and may be a benefit, however doesn't explain how?

Doesn't know what Wasps fans think and hasn't bothered to find out?

Time to get back to the negotiating table SISU you know it makes sense!

Interesting question about its effect on Cov. Does CCFCs presence help or hinder Sphinx and other local clubs?

Genuine question, we're always told grassroots athletics benefits from the Olympic success. Would a more prominent rugby team increase the fan base for Cov? It's not likely that the Cov hardcore will support Wasps is it? I don't know what rugby culture is TBF.
