Went to get a pie and a pint at half time on Saturday. £8???
Shocking prices even if we do get a cut of the profits....

We did 4 bottles for £15. It was Carlsberg but 500ml bottles so didn't work out too bad. Except it was Carlsberg and it tasted like feet.

We don't get a cut of F & B so just another cheap jibe.

You need to address your concerns & complaint to ACL & Compass Catering.

At £4.50 a bottle we must be one of the dearest in the country.

Considering a nice cold pint in the casino is £3.50, the £4.50 for lager is steep.

I would have payed it vs Gills, but couldn't get served before KO, and didn't want to miss a minute of that game.

Arsenal charged £3.50 for Carlsberg, but that was a small bottle IIRC

Go without!

I just cannot fathom why people would even consider paying these ludicrous prices for refreshments. Surely people don't starve for the lack of a low quality pie that would cost 30p in Tesco or die of thirst for want of a bottle of warm piss. It's a football match, not a sodding party.

I have never spent a single penny on the catering at the Ricoh and have no plans to do so. Sometimes we bring a snack for half time but it's only gluttony really. The bottom line is that if people didn't actually buy their £4.50 beer, the prices would drop.

Expensive piss water. In this case you don't get what you pay for. * Other drinking options are available, if you can hold out for a few hours!

Like the rent .

Now we just need to get around fifty States around the world to Boycott Sky and sanity returns to football.

Fookin hell, fun police are out! I think a lot of people go to the football to have a good drink! If they are willing to pay these prices then so be it.

Fisher says 'we need to look at pricing because average F&B spend is less than £2 per person on matchday and also encourage fans to use the concourse. The commercial deal gives us incentive to drive business to the concourse'.

Read more at http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/...ugust-170914-1924680.aspx#BZeK4JAWKViY5X4l.99

"TF: First, Chris Robinson (ACL Chairman) is somebody we can do business with and who understands football. He understands our need to generate as much revenue as possible to put on the pitch. He states his commitment to fans getting fantastic matchday experience. Commercial deal for club is good. Mr Robinson and ACL want us to be a platinum client and get value out of this. Secondly we need to look at pricing because average F&B spend is less than £2 per person on matchday and also encourage fans to use the concourse. The commercial deal gives us incentive to drive business to the concourse. We feel we’re in a position to take all ideas and suggestions from supporters and take them to ACL to look at interim solutions. This is an opportunity for fans to say how they want to improve matchday experience."

Could be read as a recognition that maximising crowds would be mutually beneficial. I'll admit, if I actually knew for a fact that the club were benefitting from F&B I'd be less reticent with my pies.

When I went to England Honduras in Miami it was $10 for a can of bud light ., so we drank a shit load before we went in, determined not to have anything inside the sunlife, but then the fuckin storm came in and the match was delayed for hours and we blew $60 on three drinks each . That's $60 for a six pack !! It's crazy when you think about it sober :(

Everybody should be encouraged to buy as many beers as they can, even if they don't drink them.

Think of it as a kind of ice bucket challenge, except this time the money goes to support a "local childrens charity".

Or paying a % of Jim O'Briens wages. Both worthwhile outlays.

I love a pint before, during and after the game but I refuse to pay £4:50 for a pint especially as the club don't get a cut of the profit.I won't be buying a drink up there all season well that's my plan.

Surely the sensible thing to do is go to the pub beforehand, and then possibly after the game too. That way you get to drink something decent, and without being robbed. The rubbish they serve up at football grounds generally would rule out a 'good drink'. Why are people so willing to pay well over the odds for rubbish, that is my point.

All it would need is for fans to not use the facility for a few games. I had a look at the price list last Saturday and they wanted £4.50 for a bloody hot dog, the same as the beer! I can only presume that those who set the prices are able to see the word 'MUG' written large across the heads of so many fools.

According to the club they do benefit from purchases.

I didn't think they did which is partly one of the reasons why they are going to build their own stadium (not).
