Sounds like the Gillingham game effect has worn off..

I don't think the 'Gillingham Effect' was ever going to be more than just that one game. I know people who had never been to a game before that went, mums, wives etc, just because it was a completely unique occasion. The nearest thing I can compare it to is the turnout in Coventry when the team brought the cup home in 1987. There were thousands out that day who never saw a game. I really think that expecting 20000 or so for the next game was crazy optimism.

Getting crowds back to their 2005 level, which included a new stadium factor, is going to take more than a few ticket deals. Many ex-fans wouldn't go if tickets were free. I know this to be true having tried to give a few away in the past. It will need a sustained run of results which will have the team as serious promotion/play-off contenders in those last few games in April. Dare I suggest a 30000 crowd for the last game against Crewe to clinch that play-off spot?

It's very competitive pricing and very flexible.

Absolutely - I agree it's a smart move and a real step forward. I think if we see even a small amount of success on the pitch to go with these kind of deals we'll definitely see attendances moving up.

I had one at the last year at the Ricoh. You swapped your voucher on match day for an actual ticket.

you can use 1-11 at a match(dont think all 12 can be used, has to cover at least 2 matches)

Prices are not a massive issue.
They are a factor but we are no different to other league one clubs.
The club needs to give the fans something to generate momentum.
The football and the success of the first half of last season would have done it.
This seasons football will only attract the die hards.
I think we have the players exciting football again

I'd thought the 27k at gillingham game would have generated momentum, then 11k turned up to Yeovil.

Fantastic news this! I for one am going to head on down this week to buy a package for the whole family 2 Adults 2 JSBs & 2 Under 12s - That's only £216 for all 6 of us on a 6 match package! At £36 per match its great value.

To be honest the atmosphere was the most exciting thing for fans that are not the hardcore.
Unfortunately fans like that want to see us dominate games and have high scoring matches.
Beating Gillingham one nill does not start the tongues wagging unfortunately.

Well you only get 1-2 clubs in each league that dominate every game and win 4-0 every other week, so they're gonna have a long wait.

To be fair to Cov fans we have waited about 20 years now since a team that truly entertained us.

When it happened for half a season it was ironically 35 miles away. Our time will come again as will the crowds.

That night just 4,554 people watched Arsenal's top flight match with Leeds United and the crowd was so sparse that fires were lit on the old North Bank terrace in order to keep the few spectators warm on a cold spring evening. This shocking attendance is still a stark reminder to all Gooners that the good times shouldn't be taken for granted.

In my first visit to Highbury. In the program was a letter from a supporter complaining about the fact that in the previous programme there was a message from the chairman urging fans to make more noise and support the team more enthusiastically. This letter objected to being told how to support a team he had been following ‘through thick and thin (mostly thin) for the past 20 years’. He said he would cheer loudly when there was something to cheer, and not to order.
Arsenal fans were nostalgic for the Herbert Chapman era, but didn’t expect much from the here and now. Crowds were modest, except for the visits of Tottenham and Man Utd and I even remember being in a crowd of only 14,000. Arsenal had not won anything in my lifetime and there was no reason to believe they would win anything, but people weren’t angry as far as I could tell.
