hes better than daniels so there is always hope.

You'd expect Barton to be better given he is 3 1/2 years older than him. Unfortunately Pressley thinks Daniels is better, which I further up the pecking order.

Bartons 24 in a few month, yet has featured in just 36 out of 101 league games we've played since he's been here.....he hasn't even got a squad number has he?

What waste of £100k

Well, until the next big game anyway. If we play a big team in the Cup I betcha it's a sell-out.

Its the ones that don't come on here are the ones we might have lost for good

Isn't that always the way?

My local side is Shrewsbury. They've just drawn Chelsea in the next round of the League Cup. Any guess as to whether the attendance will be lower or higher than their usual league gate?

Higher, of course. However, it's pointless moaning about "lost" fans and "evil hedge funds" etc, as that will all go out of the window when we have our next big game. The "lost generation" is a lame excuse.

Sorry, disagree.

The point isn't related to "big games", it's related to "run of the mill games". Those are the ones that matter - there are many more of them!

I don't disagree. However, the ill-feeling towards our dodgy owners evaporates for the larger games, that's all I'm saying. It's not even a cost issue as the JPT will have 5K if we are lucky. If people want to pick and choose then fine, but don't look for someone to blame as an excuse.

Maybe it's down to semantics.

What we need is "supporters" - to me, that's people who go to a high proportion of (at least) the home games. It's those that we have to worry about being "turned off", for whatever reason.

I doubt that we'll ever be short of "followers" - to me that's people who turn up to the big games. Many of them will take no interest at all in the off the field stuff - why would they, they won't take much interest in the on the field stuff when we're playing Scunthorpe in a third division match :)
