and we are in league one, the hoff takes over and we are storming the league what would our gates be? Personnaly with that feel good factor i could see us topping 20.000 easily every week.

our current squad would fit in nicely to league one football, but no thank you. id rather stay in the league we are currently in for now.

But were not going to stay in this league. Admin is coming....have no doubt about it. We will get relegated sisu will fook off , hoff will take over, we will come back stronger. Unfortunately we have to have more pain to get better.

according to Joe Elliot and Richard Keys admin is around the corner, if that happens, we will lose the 10 points this season. Therfore if Hoffman takes over and Thorn is given money to strengthen in January, they fending off relegation is possible..

If they sell turner, maybe juke and clingan they would survive till xmas maybe a bit longer, reduced gates means less money. I accept even now we are down, the damage has been done. The kids will do there best but its not going to be enough. We have to wait for hoff and his mates to pick up the pieces.

Nobody is going to pay money to watch the likes of Stevenage and Oldham play at the Ricoh no matter how much we are storming the league.
Probably average 10-15k with 18k against the slightly bigger teams.

Just my opinion.

Oh but they would, we have been starved of success. Trust me they would come.

You have to consider the away followings. Who is going to bring 6000 like Leeds or Leicester let alone the occasional City fan who only turns up for the big sides? We have a hardcore that I doubt would leave and are still a sizeable club, but CCFC's estimation above are not far out imo.

Sensible post regarding crowd figures in league 1.

You will also find out how tough playing in league 1 is. I seriously doubt you will storm it let alone bounce back straight away.

You only have to look at how long it took Leeds,, Forest and even Southanpton. Charlton are still stuck there along with Sheff Wed.

It also depends how quickly you can recover from admin. Just look at Plymouth.

Teams will most certainly raise there game against you and away crowd figures on the whole are very poor.

Admin would bring about more despair among the fans and gates would dwindle lower and lower until the end of season unless there is a takeover before the January transfer window opens to bring in the talent to wipe away the admin deduction and make an amazing come back.

If relegated, with success in league 1 the Ricoh would be similar gates to what it is now, maybe with a bit more noise etc. However, I really don't think that it will be a guarantee that we'll do well in league 1 and just "go down to league 1 to bounce up" at all, it nearly as tight and tough as this one.

You're crazy, we'll walk away with League One, win it before Christmas and have 32,000 crowds every week, with another 20,000 outside watching on big screens.

All we need is the Hoff and everything will be coming up roses.

This would certainly help Thorn not looking so sweaty in interviews. Anyone would have thought he was out there playing for 90 mins. :D

Seem to recall we were saying this a fair few years ago when we left another certain league, "Oh we'll have some fun seeing new grounds, can regroup and come back up next year"... uh huh shure :whistle:.
This is Coventry, if we go down, we'll miss the relegation battle, so we'll drop to the relegation battle of league one. We won't come back up for a very long time.
That said, i believe we're as good as down anyway an admin will just be rubbing salt into the wounds.

What planet are you on? Wed be lucky to get 9000 in league one, no matter how well we were doin!
Yup,
I'm with Steve on this one, 10-15,000 looks a little over generous, Sky Blue fans have had a good kicking over the last 10 seasons or so, another Body Blow, like relegation, could see the towel thrown in by many, I would expect 10.000 to be the top end of our Attendances at best, Relegation to the 1st Division, would see the "Last straw" Scenerio kick in, I can remember attendances of 8,000 at Highfield Road, and believe me when I say, "it makes for a very sad Sight.

Would have to agree, i think the Derby game will demonstate this as i think we will struggle to get 10K in that game now! People still ask me why do i go up every week and you know what, i still have not had a decent answer apart from i love the sky blues. This is not good enough for most fans particualrly paying £300 every year for an even worse product in League one.
IF we get some investment and spend wisely in league one we may get back to 20K when we come back into the championship when we start buying some more players in that pre season (similar to what lester have done).

We WON'T get back that easy. We could just as easily slide to league 2. We could easily be the next Luton. Can anyone give a reasoned argument to suggest we won't do a Luton?
