But no deal to train at the Higgs Centre - http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/wasps-ricoh-arena-bid-talks-7889441
Officials from Premiership rugby side Wasps have held meetings to discuss how they could build links with the Coventry community..
It looks a bit like different parties are being told different things, depending on what might make the deal more attractive...
Why would you spend £30M and not play all of your games there? Dont get it??
I don’t represent the city council or Wasps, I represent the genuine view that this is an exciting opportunity

Hmm just think of the Ricoh with all yellow and black seats..... <shudder>
Disgusting is a polite way of describing it , I find it quite unbelievable that lucas and her cronies were so against ccfc moving to sixfield's yet seem to be ok with uprooting a team from 100 miles away. Total absolute hypocrisy of the highest order.Fair enough people have a go at me for going to Sixfields, I understand why they do, but a permanent move was never on the cards and look what vitriol that created. A permanent move is pretty disgusting really.
So it is permanent then Tony.

What are home attendances like for Wasps team currently?
Can anyone actually see a good number of people living in Coventry going to support them? Or there current fanbase following them here?
Around 7,000 at the moment for league games. Talk on their boards seems to suggest that very few will want to shift here - it's a bit like us and Northampton in terms of proportion I expect, 70%-90% drop off.
I don't think Cov RFC fans will go if fixtures clash, or if it's somehow seen to damage that club - but in any case that's only 1,000 or so either way. This isn't a rugby supporting hotbed these days.
I can't see them getting more here than they do at Wycombe - I reckon 3,000 to 6,000 after any initial interest wears off. I'm I'm right, that's going to make the Ricoh feel very empty!

It all seems like rubbish to me, hardly anyone from Coventry will go to watch them and hardly any of there current fan base will follow them here.
I wonder if McGinnity still runs the company that manufactures the different coloured seats for stadiums. He could make a few bob here.
Far too many questions need answering ............
Why Coventry? Why not use the £30 million to build your own stadium in the London area? When will they move in? What will the stadium be called? Will they change the seats? Will they put the wasps badge all over the stadium? Will Wasps or CCFC take priority on fixtures? Will Wasps give CCFC a fair deal? Will they let CCFC get the almighty pie money? Will Wasps do everything they can to make sure that CCFC and CRFC are unaffected? Will Wasps turn CRFC in to a feeder club?
Now let's get on to the questions from Wasps fans ............
