As per Rob S's post in the last hour, it seems that CCC will accept the tabled bid by the Wasps consortium. It seems that the only obstacle remaining is whether the consrtoium can raise the cash - supposedly the investors are Chinese and the deal relies on a few well-known ex-CCFC faces to get their agreement....so will it happen?

Don't worry, I think you'll be a happy chappy by the end of the day.

Why do you care if they go pop in 2 years and are left with nothing?
By the way protesting in my name.
You can go protest by yourself...... In the public toilets before they close them all.

This is the concern really. All this rumour and wondering but we know nothing about who is behind it.

Anyone remember when forcing administration was going to force out Sisu and herald a new CCFC dawn..? (One for the older readers maybe...)

Really can't understand any of it. Who are going to support the Wasps, what will the crowds be?

Not a lot of people I would have thought.

Would hope all Coventry people boycott the Ricoh for their home games and rugby supporting people in general.

They're going to lose thousands of their own supporters too.

Seems a daft move to me, unless taking over CCFC is part of the deal too for them.

It would be interesting if they weren't able to raise the money, wouldn't it. Unlikely, but interesting.

I don't think it would have got to this stage unless the financial backing wasn't in place.

I reckon this is a bigger stumbling block than people are thinking - in fact I suspect this whole deal will fall through for lack of funds, hence the question.

They have to back down sooner or later...their business in in making money and as they have now run out of road, there is no prospect of this happening.
