Takeover was 2 years of meticulous planning.

Seems ACL weren't fibbing then when they said they were in talks with other parties a while back.

2 years ago takes us back to around the beginning of the rent strike.

So did SISU get wind of it and that's why they stopped paying rent?

No, but now you've said it i'm sure they will now use that as an excuse.

"I'd travel the Earth to support Wasps" says James Haskell.

Trouble is, Earth told Wasps to fuck off, so that's why they came to Coventry.

2 years of meticulous planning...for WASPS. Doesn't necessarily mean that ACL were involved for all that period does it?

Wasps skipper James Haskell: "I'm a Wasps fan since I was 12, and this club has been striving for so long to find a permanent home.
"Wasps, with the Ricoh and the strength of the sponsors behind us, are now finally moving forward. As of today, the club has changed.
"I'd travel the Earth to support Wasps - I don't think fans realise how close we have been to falling apart."

I suppose if you've just been given a new Range Rover then you can afford to.

Wasps letter

Here's a few pars from Wasps' letter to season ticket holders...
The Ricoh is not just a stadium. It is an award winning, world-class arena which includes a 32,000 stadium, 4 star hotel, 60,000 ft2 exhibition hall, 20,000 ft2 conferencing facilities and one of the UK’s largest casinos.
The revenue from these facilities, combined with Wasps existing revenues, will result in Wasps immediately becoming the highest turnover rugby club in the Aviva Premiership.
We will be playing our first game at the Ricoh in December either for the Castres or London Irish fixture and will be holding an open day for our supporters in late November which we will communicate to you nearer the time.
Free return coach travel between designated areas in the High Wycombe area and The Ricoh for all remaining matches this season.
Free return coach travel between designated areas in West London and The Ricoh for all remaining matches this season.
Alternatively, if you want to travel in your own car, we will offer you a free car parking space at the Ricoh Arena so long as there are at least two people in the car for the remaining matches this season.

Yea apparently Higgs have already agreed to sell their share to wasps

As a Cov charity you would hope that Higgs would rather sell to CCFC and give us a stake in the stadium.

That's ridiculous. You'd never fit 2 rugby supporters into a car.

If the veto has transferred to Wasps from CCC they could effectively block anyone else buying the shares.

That would be ideal.
I'm hopng the 50% document means exactly that.

Wasps' letter to fans claims that the Ricoh's revenue will make it the 'highest turnover club in the Aviva Premiership'.

Everything I hear/read now just makes me even angrier. For a small investment we could get in on 50% of that action.

Didn't say it did. But you are talking about a deal mooted when CCFC were still full paying tenants that had at the time recently expressed an interest in a purchase deal (and yes it did fall through)

All before legal action, and 'distressing' attempts....

"The other 50 per cent is owned by the Edward Higgs Charity and we will be in discussions with them imminently."

Is a Land Rover faster than the car Tim Fisher's got?

Of course they weren't. They were only involved at the last minute.

Thought so, glad you confirmed it, that makes it 100% true ;)

By the way, well done for beating torch to a response on my post... :)

It's embarrassing enough as it is.
