They haven't bought the road network, the surrounding land, car parking ?, casino or hotel though have they ?

Just saying a new stadium isn't going to have all that.

We move and it will be from a first class arena to a tinpot stadium, probably in the middle of Nowheresville.

You can't angle any good out of this for SISU, they are still very culpable in all of this coming around. It's one shocking fuck up that has been coming since 2001 !

I am not angling any good for sisu. But I do try to advocate that the other parties CCC/ACL/Higgs are not squeaky clean either.
ACL refused any rental discount up till the point of the 'road-map'.
CCC bought the mortgage (at too high a price) in a secret deal (till it was done) fully knowing it would lay any deal with ccfc dead.
Now it seems CCC negotiated the Wasp deal in parallel with the negotiations with the club.

The club is left without any hope of ever owning ACL and will probably be forced to build a new stadium.
Not simply because of what CCC have done, or simply because of what ACL have done, or what sisu have done ... they all contributed and are all to blame!

No thanks I'd rather build a new stadium than become long term tenants to wasps.

We push for a 50% stake in the Ricoh

Agreed. Sisu now enter into discussion for this to be a joint ownership enterprise.

It was being posted about on here a couple of years ago, although it was dismissed by many as there was no chance of anyone else being interested in the Ricoh. Find it hard to believe that forum posters heard about it but SISU had no idea.

I dont think it was dismissed out of hand Dave, its just people looked at it logically and ruled out local teams such as the Warriors, Saints or the Tigers moving here as they all have their own stadia already.

I guess people just didn't think about a club being uprooted so far, and thus becoming a franchise team, as this is what we were all so angry about in the first place with our ill fated move to Northampton.

I guess in all the Council pleadings for the Club to come home, it didn't seem likely they would be taking the opposite stance with another team and encouraging them to leave their home and fans.

coventry city being dictated to by a london team in coventry , now thats funny .im completely fed up tbh , i dont know where we go from here , as our current deal will only ever really allow us to just "get by" , so basically league 1 , 2 or a flukey promotion to the championship it is then ....cant wait

As has been said though, that could be 2 years planning for Wasps. Doesn't mean ACL were involved necessarily at that point.

True, but their owners must have been involved.

I think we all agree with your first line but no, the club won't build anything, it's bullshit and lies that they will continue to spin until after their final court appearance fails !

Surely it's a business decision ?
A good rental deal is better than financing a new stadium, surely ?

How good can a rental deal be though, it hasn't worked over the last 10 years has it?

I'd imagine we've got a pretty good/fair deal at the moment and Fisher said that the current deal is only viable in league 1.

what will be more infuriating , is watching wasps reap the benefits of revenue and inevitibly lift trophy after trophy at the ricoh arena , whilst the football club will be scraping by for its very survival

As I have said before Haskell is just a poor mans Tom Wood.

(this is a joke, as Haskell is a friend of MMM and I like to rib him about it, and Tom Wood is Cov lad who is vice captain of Northampton Saints and England and is clearly a better player than that lump Haskell ;))

Consider him informed!! :welcome:

We should also boycott khaki shorts and brown sandals.

Total cut off from any rugby association. We can also ban the names Tarquin and Rupert and anything double barrelled.

I always thought Fisher's surname wasn't actually Fisher and it was actually a double barreled one, F*cking Twat, as that's what everyone called him

Apparently Coventry City Ltd still has first refusal on the Higgs 50% so it will be offered to the liquidator of CCFC Ltd before wasps purchase goes through

Great. So the entity that could acquire the other 50% is, in fact, a dead non-entity that has nothing to do with CCFC anymore?

This just keeps getting better. :jerkit:

what revenues can be earned from the higgs 50% , its not 50% of all stadium revenue is it

Agreed. So, we have to stay at the Ricoh. If that is not in Sisu's plans then they must reliquish ownership.

How much now would CCFC be worth? How much do we think they would sell the club for?

I might be wrong, but it'd be 50% ownership of ACL.

Which, I suppose, might mean 50% of all revenues.

Might be wrong though

BS and lies?
Like ...
'we're here for the long term'
'we may liquidate the club' (ccfc ltd/holding)
'we will move out of the Ricoh'

just to mention 3 previous BS/lies.

BT Sport are here with their cameras. Ann Lucas is called over for an interview and jokes "yesterday was my day! Today isn't about me!"

So yesterday wasnt about the City, CCFC, The Ricoh, Cov Rugby Club, or even franchise tossers Wasps, it was all about her. What a clueless woman, and a disgrace to the Council.

So for a shade over the money we received for Wilson in the summer we could own half of the Ricoh..

I don't think for a minute that will happen, but if it did who would then be landlords?! Just split down the middle?

I know there's a question over the loan and taking parts of that on but £2.8m at our current reported rates we be equal to 2 years and 4 months rent. No brainier, which is why I fully expect a statement about continuing to build their own stadium.

It's not dead though, the club (or rathers the clubs owners) can still buy the share. This is excellent news.

11th hour bid for acl 50%?

do it sisu if we are offered the chance.

Most likely the purchase of CCC's shares are conditioned on the purchase of Higgs shares.
So no chance sisu would be offered the chance.

I don't think CCFC ltd have that kind of cash sitting, so it's a non-starter.
Even if they did, could a company in liquidation actually buy and sell-on assets?

They seemed to have no trouble shift assets around as they felt like, sure they could find a way round it. Would essentially be Otium giving Ltd the money and Ltd passing back the 50% stake.

I bloody well hope they pursue it.

Get that revenue they so desperately crave without incurring greater debt to build an alleged stadium on an alleged plot of alleged land.

Agreed. Rent only deal confines us to a league one - championship yoyo club at best.
