My dad said he'd take me out round a car park so I could learn the basics before I have lessons. Only place I could think that was suitable was Car Park C but it was shut. Does anyone know anywhere else ? Cheers

Tesco Car park, If you go in the bottom end near marks and spencers, theres loads of space there,
Go outdoors has a overspill carpark at the side which isn't very big but always empty, Hersall Common has a track at the side which is sometimes open, Makro car park is huge and will be empty now they have closed. Theres also a small industrial estate just off Banner Lane, which has no tennats, again car parks are empty and theres also roads you can use.
can't think of any more but that should keep you busy for a bit

Morrisons in Binley (as its not gated and also not a 24hr shop) however i wouldnt do this for long as its far to easy to get into "bad habits" best advice i could give is get insured on a vehicle and learn how to generally control the car on a road (start quiet and build up from there)
i hope your a rich kid, its so expensive to own and run a car!

In my opinion there is no point. I did the same thing at barker butts car park, but when it came to my first lesson earlier this month, he said it's a legal requirement for the instructor to go over everything

I'm learning with a company called '4wheelz'. I chose an offer which was 10 lessons (5 double lessons which are 1hour 40minutes long) for £99 and if you fail your first test, you get a free one after.
This offer might sound great, well i suppose it is, but you only get 3 double lessons, then one when you're test ready and one for your test. Extra lessons at £19.60 I think.
There are other driving instructors such as Mike Biggs that I would recommend. Literally almost everyone at my college has done their lessons with him. They're £20 a pop but apparently he is an extremely good teacher.

at the end of the day you need to learn how to pass your test, you learn how to drive afterwards

I've got my 4th lesson on 1st Sept. 4Wheelz like to take it slow, but if you're good at it, then they will progress you quicker.

No, I just didn't know the speed limit, and I don't look at what speed I'm going. I just cruise and pick up the bitchez

i am also learning with 4wheelz,
yes if you want to be passed qucik i wouldnt recommend 4Wheelz, however they are very good teachers but expect things to be perfect before they put you in for your test
