DJ Campbell anyone? (4 Viewers)

Just seen that DJ Campbell is playing for free at level 6 of the pyramid (to get his love for the game back).

Not many months ago was doing quite well in the Champ before being accused of match fixing. Cleared in August this year.

32, but started late in the professional league (players coming through professionally late tend to carry on late, e.g. K Phillips, Ian Wright).

Free and cheap.

Can we swap him for Tudgay?

Even if he flopped on the pitch, he might at least improve the music pre match and at half time ?

Not sure we'd help him get his love for the game back!

He would be a no no for you guys. Stay well clear as he does not understand how to stay onside. However he was good for Birmingham and Blackpool, just not us and Sunderland

Good stats at Ipswich too. Came into the pro game late, may have had the ability to play the offside trap properly coached INTO him. (Wouldn't happen here!)

If you haven't cracked the offside trap by the time you hit 32, I'd sense you're never going to get it! ;)

Saying that, the last forward we had who didn't understand offside was pretty decent in every other respect - D.Huckerby esq.

:)

To be fair, Huckerby did have D Dublin leading the line so he could run in from deep.
I wonder if SP will ever learn basic TACTICS such as that- reading LVG and Mourinio books isn't working.

FFS we do not need another 'tricky pacey' forward, we need a big nasty target man.
