All due respect , probably the same state the majority of clubbers that have 1 night stands are in , minus the pissing in a doorway

If two people are both drunk then as it normally would be between two people who had been clubbing then who is responsible?

I'm guessing Evans was sober as I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise, it seems clear she was visibly drunk so i don't have much sympathy for Evans

Merely using an example of historical crime. I'm not saying that the rapist Evans is the same as Peter Sutcliffe, but stating an answer that I felt justified my feelings. I suppose I could have just as easily have used the Kray twins as an example or Jimmy Saville. What I am trying to put over (in my opinion) is that if you are guilty of a crime such as rape, don't expect to carry on as normal when you're released.

I'd say that lee Hughes, marlon king and Luke McCormick are more apt comparisons and all three managed to move back into football. Luke McCormick is the captain of Plymouth and he killed someone

Im just saying that somebody who believed she had been raped on a couple of occasions before by sportsmen , would hardly be keen to jump in bed with more strangers on a night out would she

But you said that she wasnt able to consent , yet the man she had sex with first got away with it

I wasn't in the courtroom, I don't know the law and I didn't follow the case.

Two sober men took a visibly drunk girl back to a hotel room with the intention of having sex with her. Were they both guilty of the crime? Was neither guilty? I don't know and I'm not the one who decides. They were clearly taking advantage of a drunk woman though imo so they have no sympathy from me.

Tricky subject this and I haven't read the whole thread but the way I see it is this; he was convicted of a crime and served his sentence so its now history and he should be given every opportunity to live his life, but...
Does the paedophile come back to his old job at the school?

Is it possible he was with her before she was completely drunk, at what point did she possibly agree to go back to the hotel and why? But when someone else turns up much later?

Perhaps those were the considerations for passing different verdicts? Beyond reasonable doubt and all that!

no because a paedo is a possible danger to children and in order for your point to stand you would have to prove that Evans is a danger to the people he will be working round and seeing that he is heterosexual and is trying to clear his name i don't think hes likely to rape any fellow footballers. I highly doubt however Ched Evans will pose a danger to other footballers apart from his scoring ability, i also highly doubt people will be scared to pick up the soap in the changing room showers with him around

He might get Conor Thomas drunk and take advantage.

Exactly, she could have drunk 10 bottles of Vodka before the other got there so by then she wasn't able to. If it was 3 minutes different it could be different.

Although didn't they test her the morning after and there wasn't much alcohol but plenty of coke...

A whole court case
A decision by 12 independent people.

An appeal that three judges looked at and said the decision was right.

Evans will though, be idolised and fantasised about by many young women and doubtless be in contact with many. Are you sure enough about his rehabilitation to be confident that the man understands the meaning of the word NO?

She didn't say no.

It was the case of her being to out of it to be able to make a logical decision and Evans took advantage.

so your point is he should remain in jail because in the world not in his employment he may be around women and If women want to fantasize or idolize him that is their choice to do so through their freedom of thought. Also should we let people who steal cars out of prison because they will be going back into a world with cars everywhere not sure you thought your point through

Did I say he should remain in jail? I have thought my point through very well thank you. My point is; there may be other jobs that might be more appropriate considering his past, wouldnt you agree? Your point seems to be that you dont give a shit because we need a goalscorer.

In the 'she wanted it really' camp are you?

No. In the he had sex with a drunk women whilst mildly intoxicated himself and she said yes camp.

Although, as the great Robin Thicke once said: "you know you want it"
