allsop - 3 - i have stood up for him this season but he just does not move off his line at all
clarke - 4 - cost us the 3rd goal, why is he still employed? makes mistakes all the damn time
webster - 6 - solid enough
willis - 6 - same as webster but poor distribution
phillips - 3 - hiding for most of the game, made it hard for midfielders
pugh - 3 - is not a wingback
barton - 6 - did well i felt, strong ON the ball(note i said on) typical girl off it, had no real options for passes
o brien - 6 - huffed and puffed, which made him one of best on this sorry day
coubilaly - 4 - faded after just 15 mins
mcquoid 4 - nothing of note, didnt hold ball up
jackson - 5 - why do we play long ball to such a small guy? some poor control in final 10 mins, probably tired

haynes - 4 - got past man a few times but was also hiding on touchline for majority of game
maddison - 7 - our youngest player had to play the bloody insightful passes!
miller - 6 - didnt do much bar the goal but it was a great finish

overall terrible display. pressley keeping 3 cb when chasing 2 goals was frustrating.

Glad I didn't go. Will not be rushing back anytime. Too much money to spend on such a depressing Saturday afternoon. On the pitch things are the worst they have been in my lifetime

Shockingly bad performance just did nothing going forward and never looked a threat. I'd start barton over o'brien next match if flecks fit, he actually did alright. We need a new goalie in asap allsop is so bad

It was another poor performance but lets not forget Bristol are the best team in the division.

I thought the 3 up front looked better than before, Maddison should get a start playing just behind the 2 strikers. If we don't get results vs Oldham or Peterborough Pressley must go

Shouldn't we also include a manager rating based on how well the game was managed, formation, tactics, substitutions?

Come on, they didn't even need to get out of 2nd gear to beat us today.

Madison's ball for the goal was superb and he has good vision but in this current team going into a relegation dogfight surrounded by other very small forwards he can't be a regular choice. Jordan Clarke should never play for the club again has nothing to offer always a mistake in him and the third was all his fault and he was not under pressure. Barton did well. Alsopp can go, must be part of the blame for the second and should have done better for the first. Front 2 were poor very lightweight.

I'm just saying Bristol are a very good team, I'd be surprised if they don't break 100 points at the end of the season.

I'm much more disappointed with the Scunthorpe, Rochdale, Crawley, Crewe matches than I was today.

Allsop 3 Does well to his boots on the correct feet was he a goalie before we signed him?
Phillips 5 Ok
Willis 5 been one of our best players this year next to be sold I think
Webster 4 Poor at everything and has no leadership quality
Clarke 2 A walking mistake
Pugh 4 Doesn't seem to have a position he is good in
O'Brien 5 Huffs and puffs no end quality
Barton 5 One of his better games says a lot
Coulibaly 4 Not a Pressley player as he runs with the ball instead of short pointless passes
Mcquoid 4 Send him back in the same taxi as Alsopp
Jackson 6 Will get better with a better partner

Miller 6 took goal well
Maddison 6 Next to be sold after Willis the way they are talking him up
Haynes 5 Did very little

True, although I still feel disappointed as you should be making good teams raise their games to beat you, they beat us with ease. The formation was awful, and left us far too light in midfield.

Allsop 3 - Had virtually nothing to do today, but what he did, he didn't do very well
Phillips 5 - Had moments where he looked dangerous but nothing special
Willis 6 - Solid. Good challenges and got stuck in
Webster 6 - Very much the same as Willis
Clarke 5 - Not bad from him
Pugh 0 - Went off with an injury and offered nothing until then
O'Brien 5 - Tried but the final product wasn't there
Coulibaly 6.5 - Looked threatening. Why did Pressley take him off?
Barton 7 - Great to see him back. Took his chance. Good short range passing. Held the ball well and turned many a Bristol player inside out. Keep in for Oldham
McQuoid 3 - Poor 1st touch, poor passing, just not good enough. Miller showed how bad McQuoid is

Subs
Haynes 4 - Poor day for him. Nothing like his usual self
Maddison 6.5 - This kid has potential
Miller - 6 - Shamed McQuoid. Good finish for the goal. Give him a chance Pressley!

He took Coulibaly off because he was crap, head down and run into trouble at every opportunity. It may work when he plays on the wing as he could win throw ins, corners and fouls but playing in the middle you need to be more intelligent than that. Maddison at 17 outshone him in every aspect in the same role.

And Barton at 7 is a joke

Coulibaly was terrible I thought, head down and ran into trouble every time he received the ball

Correction. Coulibaly was excellent for the first 6 minutes. Started off really brightly and then they just closed him down and he disappeared from the game completely.

Were you at the game? Coubillay was dreadful and Barton did anything but take his chance. He proved why all the managers here and Westley at Preston never played him.
Clarke was very poor and to give a player 0 is bizarre.

Yep, agree with most of that.

Would give Barton a 5 though, just for his 2nd half performance. 1st half he just strolled around playing 5 yard passes as if he was in a training session and offered absolutely nothing. 2nd half he at least tried to get the ball going forwards.

This was by far and away Willis' worst game for sure too. Really worries me that without Reda we seem really shaky at the back.

Agreed. What's further worrying is that there is a chance that it may be just a coincidence that our form has slumped since Reda's been out. I fear, that his return isn't going to have the impact we think it is.

Nope. You can't have a one man back four. Think even if he performs heroics it's not going to be enough to save us.

Webster looks too slow for me. I think Willis and Reda should be our two centre backs, but if it has to be a three, I would go for Hines alongside those two.

Otis I genuinely thought today that we weren't good enough. Not about pride or passion or commitment just players not good enough to compete for 90 minutes

I thought Barton played well today, considering it was his first start. Don't remember him giving the ball away, always looked to play the right pass, unfortunately there was very little movement around him or in front of him for him to pick out. Thought he was the best of our outfield players.

Allsop 5 - poor, never comes for the ball. Send him back please.
Phillips 6 - did not want to take on many today, a few good tackles when it mattered
Willis 6 - Fairly solid, odd mistake but fair performance
Webster 6. - As willis
Clarke 5. - Was not to great an a terrible mistake at the end.
Pugh 4 - P45 please. Dire
O'Brien 6 - Getting frustrated now, an affecting his game, gave Phillips an Haynes a mouthful a few times in the 2nd half for not doing their jobs.
Barton 6 - no worse than fleck or Thomas would of been. Style of play is frustrating an not everyone's cuppa tea, yet displays a few flashes of ability
Coulibaly 4 - first 10 mins, head up running at them, faded rapidly to poor. Deserved to be subbed.
Mcquoid 3 - ....... Dire, poor first touch inaffective an missing for the afternoon.
Jackson 6 - Long high ball really works for the little striker!!!! Not a great day but ran.

Maddison 7 - shows ability, always looking forward which is good cause this midfield don't. Great pass an vision for millers goal
Miller 6 - good contrabution took goal well. Deserves a start.
Haynes 6 - a few good runs, nothing spectacular. Might need to build bridges with o'brien after his ticking off 3 times In 2nd half.

General assessment is we was never gonna win today an when Bristol city side walked out was clear we was never gonna beat their big defenders. Mistakes cost us dearly yet again but a taxi needs booking for Bournemouth!! 3 players looking for a lift. I'd rather blood out own kids than someone else's who ain't offering much. Could accept a loss if it was out academy boys trying for the shirt. New loans please.... Soon!

Allsop 4 - Picked the ball out of the net a few times and also came out for a stupid header for no reason
Phillips 5 - Tried to get up and down a bit
Willis 5 - Solid. Good challenges and got stuck in
Webster 5 - Didn't have a bad game, cheeky turn showed off some skill
Clarke 4 - Would have been a 5 as he is usually at least quite steady but that grass cutter for the third :(
Pugh 3 - Didn't really do much, crock, get rid
O'Brien 5 - Tried but the final product wasn't there
Coulibaly 4 - Kept trying to run at players which we need but never got anywhere
Barton 5 - Some good touches and seems good on the ball, has a very relaxed style of play, would like to see him keep his place.
McQuoid 3 - Seems to run a lot, didn't do much else. no link with the midfield or jackson
Jackson 4 - Didn't really do much at all today

Subs
Haynes 5 - Got forward a lot more than Pugh at least
Maddison 6 - Like how he wants to always turn and go forward and play through balls. He was the link we were missing between midfield and the strikers but I don't know why we persisted in hitting hit long to him while he had their defender marking him.
Miller - 6 - Want to see him given a chance, has a much better strike rate in terms of shots to goals.
