tbh though. In my view, we could have an "up and coming manager", "a proven manager", and okay manager, a rookie, a scout as a manager....
do we really, truly, honestly expect any results?
I personally wanted to vote "don't know", as I don't see CCFC progressing as a club or up the leagues, regardless of manager, attendances or players.
Bit doom and gloom but just my opinion

No. Is wasn't that long ago when many people worshiped the ground he walked on. He has bought us through difficult times and he stuck with us.
Yes I agree that some of his decisions leave a bit to be desired, but I am still very impressed with him.

He is a man stuck in one mode that he can't get out of. Defending garbage performances and sticking resolutely to an ultra defensive strategy regardless of the opponent coming top of the list, but more telling were his statements on the team's strength before the start of the season. He is now talking about a lack of physicality and being bullied off the ball when he's had more than enough time to identify this and sign players who address these shortcomings.
Should he be sacked? Ask him why we've lost 6 of the last 7 games and what he intends to do differently in the next 7. If he can't give a decent answer he should be put out of his misery.

Yes. We play 5 at the back yet we still concede at least 2 goals per game. Yes, we've lost players but so does every 3rd tier club. Getting hammered by the likes of Oldham isn't on

Sacking Thorn and replacing him with Robins did quite a bit.
I hate this sacking managers in the past has done nothing argument. You can just list the names of our previous managers who've been sacked and none have been successful since leaving, this shows they're not good managers.
There has never been a case of sacking a manager and then that biting us in the arse, if our club is so impossible to manage surely a few of them would go on to be successful elsewhere. They were all garbage.
Personally, I think the recruitment needs looking at, do other teams have such a bad succession of managers?

Trust me, they will be lining up. Too many managers (or so they think) + too few jobs = plenty of takers.

I'll sit on the fence with this poll. Going by results, I think he should go, but thinking about it realistically, who would we entice to come in? It would need to be someone who would take the bull by the horns (or in our case, the team by the bollocks!) and get the club sorted. And just who would come here? Names and suggestions please, coz I really ain't got a clue!

Ridiculous to call for his sacking. The man has a remit for this club which they are carrying through even if we get some tough moments like now. The academy is the only way this football club will start to get back to it's rightful place and this will only happen given time to carry out the remit.
If the first team lose a few along the way then so be it but the bigger picture is the future. We have hired and fired far too often.
This man did a very good job last season for the most part in the most stressful conditions this club has ever faced. Right now we need to hold our nerve, let him sort out the problems we are experiencing on the pitch at the moment and keep the faith.
For me he would have to continue this terrible run in to December before being eligible for the sack base solely on first team performances.
It's sad that the impetus of returning to the Ricoh has failed to ignite the club. I would like Pressley to remind the players next time out at the Ricoh just what awaits them with some better performances and a few wins under the belt. We play at the best stadium outside the premier league and potential crowds of 30k or more - but you have got to earn it!
Has he the players? Not sure tbf. But we have a good enough squad to do better than we are right now. Pressley must stamp his authority on proceedings and quickly. As Otis says when we get our two most influential players back we may see an immediate difference. I think he will turn it around. Have some patience for goodness sake. Rome wasn't built in a day.

No money to spend... Clubs in this division live on freebies. The likes of Jackson, Reda, O'Brien, Pugh won't be playing for £500 a week. The majority of clubs in this division could only dream of those signings. Pressleys tactics have been wrong from Bradford away on the opening day. One of only two clubs yet to record an away win this year. Bottom of the form table and level on points with Crewe, the clubs whos manager said he had forgotten what it feels like to win a game when they beat us last week!

Reluctantly i'd say yes. Fair enough he had no budget and lost key players, but you have to know what formation you want to play and sign players for that. He seems to have signed players then decided on a formation and its clear these players need a different one. I always thought he seemed like he would be a great motivator and man manager but confidence is clearly rock bottom and doesn't look like that will change any time soon.
