Plenty on here seem to think that this is a good move and some foolishly spin the line that it is good for ccfc too. Most of them are probably council plants though....or just thick.

You must be reading a different forum. I can only think of one on here who's said anything like that, that's not plenty.

There's no difference. Oh, apart from one isn't SISU. That's all that really matters to some.

Torch what do you expect?

After all they have done people don't like them and worse don't trust them.

I have had many meetings with Sisu Reps and they talk the talk but fuck me don't know how to walk the walk....

That is the problem they ask for our help then carry on doing the same things.

While they are in charge there will be far more against them then for them that is why the club is in the shit.

I agree. People shouldnt trust hedge funds full stop, but Lurker and quite a few others seem to forget that a new one has just rolled into town.

However Torch I cant help but feel even by Hedge Fund standards SISU are a pretty poor bunch.

Anyway for SISU to have any chance of salvaging a deal on the Ricol Sepalla should be taljing to Wasps not Les Reid.

These lovely big attendances, the big buzz, Rugby now having a new Midlands HQ near its Birthplace - this could all be good not only for the City of Coventry AND Coventry City.

Tell you something else. Expect that scrapyard opposite to disappear very quickly. *taps nose*

No some are just better at what they do.

If you have to be involved with one pick that knows what it is doing?

Apologies. I thought we were all anti Hedge Fund, not just the one.

Only really interested in the one that fucked up my Club.
Before that hadn't even given them a thought TBH.

If they had acted in a more admirable manner maybe more of us would have had a different view.

Just talked to the Wasps ticket office They will be releasing more blocks next week so not a sell out. As a long standing fan of both codes I will be going. Currently a Saints season ticket holder. I have been since I gave up my ccfc season ticket when SISU moved us It was all a bit mad I had always attended as many saints games as ccfc allowed but never went to a Cov game in Northampton.

I think wasps will do OK for attendance at the Ricoh, in terms of Rugby crowds as they will have 4 well attended derby games, Don't expect sell outs at the Ricoh though, the top team in the country don't always sell all their 13 000 for home games, I am sure you know it is very different to watching football. For some reason as long as it is good game the result is secondary. Whenever I watch Cov I don't mind if they play crap as long as they win.

If Wasps and cov are smart they will offer a joint season ticket for those who want to watch both. This suggests SISU can actually operate in a professional business like manner. I have seen little evidence of this in the last 7 years.

BTW I don't care who or what is to blame the dice have been rolled and all parties must get on with it,

rugby support is nothing like football support. I will attend wasps games at some point. just wish ccfc had some interest in the ricoh and benefited from it all.

They invited offers from anyone.

No that's untrue. They never said am offer which is in effect an offer to purchase the freehold was ever a possibility.

Before you start you tell me one difference a freehold has which this lease does not.

The thing that they have sold, which people are unhappy about, that's the thing they invited offers for.

They said they wouldn't sell the freehold. They haven't sold the freehold. Nothing prevented SISU making an offer for ACL.

You do know that one of the conditions of watching Rugby isn't that you have to socialise with the team and stick your finger up their bum?

And the team get undressed at every available opportunity, sing lewd songs, run up and down the street naked with the cup on their head ( assuming they won a cup ), let people throw ice down their trousers, drink a pitcher in 7 seconds ( never works ).... to mention a few things "my" ( I sponsor them ) Rugby players do. And they are only amateurs....

With respect - people like you are a dream to people such as the council. They make some soundbytes and you swallow them instantly. The unfettered freehold statement is a meaningless statement that reminds me of the day a ligament injury became a cruciate ligament injury.

A 250 year lease is freehold in terms of value and ownership -- the cycnics among us with ask for the difference between this deal and freehold -- the meek and the accepting will nod and say "Annes's kept her word everyone look it says leasehold - not freehold - well done CCC"

Your constant assertion regarding inviting offers again fails to acknoweldge a real possibility with this -- that the council approached Wasps. This would show a very diferent motive. No commercial confidentiality here -- laughable in itself -- so why doesn't the local media ask the question and why doesn't the council volunteer the answer?

On this forum people were obsessed with protecting a community asset, preserving the stadium and yet now no questions as to the deal and why the secrecy. No questions on the loan and where that now sits and who funds it.

Without being unkind you do seem a believing and unquestioning sort. Show a block of Red and you assume sold out. I would suggest it means nothing of the sort actually. I may be wrong but I am reminded of the Arthur Conan Doyle tale and the supposed ghost -- the dog did nothing -- if the ground was that much sold out I would guess the nodding dog would be doing plenty.

para 1, I haven't mentioned any sound bites, I mentioned they had said they were open to offers, they were, so not really swallowing any lies there was I?

para 2, They are different things, hence the different terms, you'd have to ask Joy why she was so bothered about freehold. Of course if she had the freehold she would still need to buy ACL.

para 3, I'll entertain the idea that the Council approached wasps, this doesn't change the fact they invited offers, this constant assertion doesn't fail to acknowledge anything.

para 4, the community asset references were always about the freehold, it seems we won't ever agree about that argument. The loan answers would be of interest to many people, not sure we have any right at present to know though. When accounts are filed it should become clearer, obviously this will take a while.

Para 5, I've questioned many things. I didn't assume sold out I wrote that that's what the website said red meant, you shouldn't assume so much.
