With the utterly dire position we are in on and off the pitch you'd have thought sticking together and fighting for our club might be an idea but you just engage in petty point scoring, rehash the same old pointless arguments and insult fellow City fans. Posters like you and Covmark are intent in pigeonholing me (and others). You don't seem to be able to cope with the idea I criticise sisu and I criticise the council and have been clear the wasps deal is a disaster for us - you may not mean it but you seem really happy now in being able to lay into the council (quite rightly) but not caring about the state ccfc is in or doing anything about it

Dai Young is meeting with Scott Morgan this week to start work on joint player development. Peter Rossborough was representing CRFC, and 44 of the other 46 local clubs also sent attendees or delegations.
At the moment, all local talent (Coventry, Warwickshire) is routed via Worcester, of course. This ends in 2016. After this, it's fair to expect Wasps to pitch hard for it - and I'd guess they'll be successful. At that point, it's fair to say all local talent, rather than going to Worcester, will stay in Coventry via the Wasps-Coventry partnership. In that regards, it's very much a positive, I guess.
Wasps have stated that their preferred slot will be Sundays at 2pm; and CRFC will be Saturday at 3pm; so no fixturing clash

So lets say that on day 1 that SISU took over the asking price for 50% or 100% of ACL was way too high.
What do you think would have happened if on day 1 SISU had said we need to own the ground to secure the future of the club and enable us to be competitive? They could have said the value we've been given is high, we are going to ask for an independent valuation and will make an offer based on that.
In my opinion, at that point, they would have had the full support of the vast majority of the fanbase and there would have been a lot of pressure on CCC and Higgs to at least justify the asking price.
The longer they left it the harder it became to unite the fans behind them. By the time they were messing about with rent strikes and buggering off to Northampton it was practically impossible to get behind them. Whatever way I look at it, and however badly every other side has behaved - and theres been some poor behaviour on all sides to say the least, I keep coming back to the way SISU have handled the whole situation.
Even right before the vote they could have come out and said we need to own ACL, this needs to be stopped. After all that has happened even then I think they would have got a decent amount of support for that but instead we just got no problem, new ground etc etc.

Totally inaccurate. The opposite is true. CCFC is all I care about. Dont give a shit about sisu, acl, wasps, ccc, higgs.
Thats why i've always wanted us to get a share of the ricoh. I've not seen you criticise the council before.

Be under no illusions though that CRFC is intended to permanently be the small relation of Wasps. Exporting the city's best prospects to clubs not based there or clubs imported from elsewhere.

Nearly all about chasing eggs. In fairness, it was all cabbage-heads there, so no real reason to address the round ball.
Training will move up here in 2016 and stay in West London until then; they're looking at sites to build with the council now. Got me wondering at to whether it might be Ryton if Fisher's My Little Pony Stadium has a training pitch on one of the clouds that can be used on the days the unicorns aren't using it......

Whilst I commend Nick Eastwood for trying to engage the local Rugby community, I still feel its like the big boys entertaining the local yokels, as its something they feel they have to do, just another tick in a box.
Whether that is the case or not, I hope they fail badly. We already have local Rugby teams in the area, who have long been established, without some London club muscling in for a piece of the action. Many may disagree but I really would love to see them fail, and do a double deal and bugger off with SISU.

Inclined to agree. Cov Rugby being set up to be Wasps' feeder club with Wasps owning a far bigger stadium makes it unlikely that the former will scale any significant heights and even if it somehow does Wasps own the biggest and best ground in the city. The council's contempt for its own city's sports clubs is astonishing.

As for what I am going to do to fight for CCFC - I'll do what most fans should do in my opinion. I will go to every game I can, I will support my club irrespective of owner, manager, players or league we ply our trade in.
If we have to build a new ground and we do - I will go. I won't hide behind any excuses about location or owner or anything else. I won't bang on about how long i've supported CCFC for as if it gives me some hereditary right to consider myself a more superior supporter.
Whether you percieve that as being a good fan or not is of no concern to me. People might pander to your bullshit but I won't. I respect your commitment to CCFC but seriously disagree with your motive and agenda.

The plan is for Wasps to be one of the biggest players in European rugby. CRFC and third-tier. In footballing terms, that would be like comparing Chelsea with Bristol City. Yes, Coventry would always be the smaller relation in the relationship; but to pretend anything other than that is the case would be to defy logic. But wasn't that also the case when Worcester set up an academy in Coventry to syphon off best young talent, and nobody said a word?
