It's hard to keep up with what's going down half the time. All I'm reading is that people want sisu out. Apart from telling lies...is there a good reason why people think they should go, and where would that leave us? If it's admin then aren't we better off with them? Just asking.

Agreed as Hoffman's deal fell through I am resigned to SISU being in charge for the immediate future. Yesterday was a good day for transfers overall lets hope they follow that up with some good loans as they have aid they would. It is all well campaigning for SISU out but we no longer have an alternative at this moment in time so I will try and support them and the club the best I can until someone says otherwise. I don't think we can move forward under SISU we will always be relegation battlers but currently it is the best we can hope for in the circumstances.

skybluesteve76, No, it doesn't work like that. Getting any deeper in the shit makes no difference to the club, the creditors will still only get paid a fraction of what they are owed , its just that they might have to take 5p in the £ rather than 10p in the £ when the club goes into admin.

Brinner, we would not necessarially lose points now & not next season if we entered Admin, they plugged that bolthole I think, certainly for late season moves when relegation has become almost a certainty.

ajscfcc, definitely maybe, but maybe someone else will want to take the gamble, there will come a point when someone does.

CCFC, if that happens (I reckon ~5% chance) then SISU will only try & sell the club at a better price, maybe they are not unhappy to drop as it means thay can review their playing staff salary policy (ie get rid of all the bigger earners & bring in cheaper ones).

Totally agree! That's why I don't know where we should be as supporters right now! I think Hoffmans in it for his own gains as much as Sisu! What proof do we have that says otherwise? all Hoffmans done is turn the fans against sisu to try and get his hands on the club IMO. Who says we would defo get a buyer and we wouldn't go bust? Nothings guaranteed!

Maybe, just maybe that as a result of all the flack and vilification that has been poured on SISU of late has finally prompted them to come clean not take us fans as pillocks of the highest order.

With the signing of Cody and the resistance to sell Sammy and Juke despite enormous pressure from leading clubs in the Championship this surely shows a bit of a sea change in their attitude to CCFC.

This transparancy looks to extend to recruiting one or two loan players next week an intention they dare not rescind,

The thing is with the Hoff's bid in the dust we are stuck with SISU whether we like it or not and if they continue to improve their resolve with us maybe, just maybe a little bit of warmth will come their way from us long suffering fans.

I said about this in the thread about negativity is increadable about if sisu pull the plug in a hyperthetical way, there are no investors queing up in longford and the surronding areas that I am aware of.
The point is ok sisu out then what???
They will be this that and the other for doing it to us "how could they, I knew they were w****** all along etc etc.
Now weather you like them or not (and I think the majority don't) there is no knight in shining armour or bill gates around the corner waiting to take the club off there hands.
As for hoffman saying we will buy it when and if they go into admin, I am afraid talk is cheap, all those people who say that fans have been taken in by sisu in the past 24 hours are just as bad if not worse than these so called people because they are being led to believe that hoffman will do what he says he will.
So therefore are you not being just as easily led by a person who has not actually done anything for the club regarding any kind of investment and has just talked about what he will do for the club? again talk is cheap, just like sisus letter is being ridiculed for cheap talk.
At least sisu have invested somewhere along the line, ok it may not be £10m but they have kept the club going even if it is to just keep us above water.

But they sold Turner and haven't even re-invested all that money! We needed 3-4 players in, not 1 in 1 out. What happened to the money we allegedly had to strengthen with pre-Turner sale? The Dann money, the Aron money, the King/Aron/Westwood contract offers, etc.

I keep posting this over and over again...but I just can't believe that people can swallow the bull in todays statement after what's just happened. We worked oursleves into such a frenzy about keeping Lukas and Sammy that we completely forgot about all the other hoodwinking that has gone on! Our perspective is so warped that we see something bad as good. This was not a good deadline day-it just wasn't quite the nightmare scenario some feared. It still leaves us threadbare and in a relegation battle.

...it must also be said Ranson mismanaged things for a while there can be no doubt. SISU moved him on and rightly so I felt. He was responsible for nearly getting us relegated with a huge gamble when he sacked Dowie at a critical time only to appoint the fairly useless Coleman who he thought was his man. We escaped because Leicester hit a post! That team started the season like Brighton have this year!
Bothroyd simple made matters worse with the various signings he was allowed to make which left the squad heavily unbalanced with some 5 centre backs for starters and no left back! His brand of football sending us on a slide to near relegation. he even refused to see Clingan was probably the clubs best player and kept him sidelined. We could however thank him though for starting that season with Cameron and Turner - remember that? We all thought he was crazy but what a sensation it was for a while. That's the one reason Turner was worth something yesterday. we still have Cameron waiting to come back in...
Since that time we have lost just a couple of players in King and Gunna (Westwood would have gone under any stewardship) so don't see the crazy reason why we are all of a sudden a poor squad? We even have Biggi coming through strong (what a prospect he is) and we just sold an injury prone Turner for a fair amount (1m) considering he has been out for so long. We have brought in the very capable Keogh too and a very able replacement for Westwood in Murphy. With Oggy coaching him I'm sure he will get better. The deadwood has been cleared with the likes of Carsley going etc. without truly affecting the squad's strength other than arguably King who by the way had only half a season if that on the pitch!
The wages have been slashed to working levels and yes there is some cash for players.
So we got one good target and I expect we will see one or two more arrive. There is no sense in simply throwing money around we don't have a lot of on players we don't need and stretching our tight finances unnecessarily.
We will always be a selling club and that is part of the book keeping we do at CCFC. Players are assets. They are the products/commodities we use and likewise the products we also have to purchase. We currently run in the red but by so little compared to others it is sustainable as a football club and we will try and improve it over time.
We have a manager who I believe has an eye for a good player and wants to play a brand of football we want to see. I remember on these boards everyone was calling for Bothroyd to play good football even if we lost because we were starved of entertainment and all that hoof ball dross? Well you are getting your wish and with the arrival of mcdonald alongside Juke I feel thos chances we keep making will get a higher conversion rate now and we will see the Juke benefit too. Freddie has the competition he needs to get his lazy ass working too.
narrow defeats so far and two draws (one at a club tipped to do well) so I don't yet see the reason for all this negativity and moaning.
lets give it some time and a couple of loanee's before we see the tree bear fruit. In a way I'm kinda' relieved we did not get off to a great start and run out of gas like previous seasons....

Well its never good to start with 3 losses, and we should have won at least one of our home fixtures. The away draw is a good result, we'll see what happens next ~ but its whats on the pitch that matters, its the performance of the team that brings the crowds in, its the atmosphere that means people have a good time and so return to the stadium. Ultimately the owners don't matter ~ as long as they maintain the club for future generations.
