At the minute I'm not sure he fits into what we need at all anyway

Let's face it what decent player is going to join us when all we can offer is a one year deal. We are competing against other clubs that will offer 3-4 year deals.

I think you're right. It's also a measure of SISU having no long term plan for our club. They always seem to have one foot in the life raft.

I'd have him back for cover, but I don't think he's what we need and I don't see where he'd for in with the current group of midfielders.

How about a bit of pace added to our squad and someone that wouldn't be happy playing sideways and backwards most of the time?

He isn't that special. His career took a downward spiral since joining Newcastle. He wouldn't be able to cope with the psychical demands of L1. It's a battlefield out there.

I'm glad we're not looking at him, he is far from what we need right now, he's not played a competitive game since last season in the league Cup against Morecombe. He is lightweight, and small. We need physicality.

From what I remember, he wasn't quick at all. And most of his passes were sideways and backwards, he was good at passing and moving. Saw him play a few times for Newcastle and he 99% played the easy 5 yard pass.

We need some pace out wide - bigi isn't a winger. And we need some experience, leadership, physicality and defensive know how in the centre midfield - that's not bigi either.

Some might disagree but what we lack is quality,, you all mentioned Maddison on Sunday as Stand Out,, He is not big, not rapid and not physical,, but he plays the correct way and has quality in his work.. Bigi has more about him in the quality department than 90% of the current midfield,,Quality we lack,, headless chickens we have but because they are 6 ft they will make a difference? Thomas is 6ft odd athletic but not making progress or effecting team performance.. I would of brought him in,, good player, good lad and wants to learn more importantly not that far up his own arse that he wouldn't care..

Is that the same Gary McSheffery who is still banging goals in week after week and who 99% of this forum slated week in and week out.

mattylad's going to be rich, seeing as he's clearly discovered time travel and is posting from 2006.

I would have bigi back today. Another one who left us before he was ready, don't chase the instant pound, think long term!

No its a different one - it's the one that's scored twice this season.

Me neither Grendel I wish him well but like Juke think overall it was good money for us.....he's done nothing to justify the transfer fee for newcastle let's face it! Despite juke huffing and puffing not premeirship class yet to open account!
