CCC owe us (4 Viewers)

The way I see it CCC now owe CCFC the oppertunity to build a new ground within the City boundries. Perhaps the trust should now be pushing CCC to identify sights that they could then in turn offer to SISU (or any new owners should SISU now do one) and then fast track planning permission for our own ground and develop any remaining surrounding area.

I haven't lived or worked in Coventry for years and rarely go anywhere but Ikea, The Ricoh or Walsgrave Hospital when i am in Coventry so my finger is off the pulse a bit on what may or may not be available but looking on Google maps, land looks to be available on the old courtaulds Site in Foleshill, the old GPT site of Second Ave IIRC and plenty of infill around Jag Whitely by the A45.

Don't think it needs CCC to identify sites but this should be the next step now. I can see no reason that the new ground can't be within the city and I if CCC stand in the way I find it hard to believe that any of our fans would support them in their actions.

Lets get some sites identified and put to Fisher at the next SCG meeting. Would be nice to see those meetings serve a purpose for once.

CCC and the relationship to the club is now ancient history irrespective of them being the previous landlord.

I think the largest hurdle to anything positive CCFC related is SISU and Seppala. They are holding all the cards.

Based only on previous form there will be no new stadium. They have failied in every attempt so far why should we believe a word they say?

Has always been the case (CCC). Just hope Ann & her cronies are able to sleep at night!

For anyone who thinks CCC and AEHC are not part to blame for this fiasco they need to remember it was only a few months ago they were all talking about welcoming CCFC back to the Ricoh and going on about building trust....during all that time they were secretly agreeing a deal with Wasps to sell the stadium. The site at Meridan where the super pit was proposed or the site at Warwick Uni seem the two most viable options. I certainly don't see the Football league blocking any proposal now to build outside the city limits as long as its within a 5 mile radius.

Paid £7M to CCFC and got £2.77M back from Wasops. That's a negative £4.23M.
Really does show people are not seeing things straight.

Makes you wonder why they didn't accept the offer for double that amount from SISU a couple of years ago eh? Talk about not seeing things straight.

Yep, an absolute disgrace.

I hope it's all part of some massively crafty plot to oust sisu, but tbh, I don't think anyone at the council is that clever.

The Ricoh is done and dusted now as far CCFC is concerned so why fans are bitching about CCC did this SISU did that on every thread surely is beyond me. Now is the time to unite behind the Trust as they are the largest supporters group and have them drive the search for an ideal site within the City of Coventry. They've dealt with the council and they've dealt with SISU. CCC owe us a building site to build our home and SISU need either pushing on their word that they have moved on and are building a new ground or this needs exposing and they move on.

Bitching and finger pointing is about as useful as a chocolate teapot and contributes nothing to the future of our club. A line has been drawn today. Let's use that as a starting point and move forward.

one thing that puzzles me, if CCC have shafted CCFC and the city cares about the club, surely they will be voted out ?

The only chance of getting them to see it that way now is with a unified fan base pushing them to do so.

I'm not willing to settle for a stadium in Nuneaton or by the NEC or wherever SISU are supposed to be building it. When I come to watch CCFC play home games I expect to do that in Coventry. Surely we're all united on that point and it's something we can drive together?

Not gonna happen. Like in the same way any one agenda councillors with a view to returning ccfc to the Ricoh weren't voted in. The majority of voters in Cov really couldn't give a flying f*ck...

One would like to hope that the Council will be supportive, but after this whole fiasco of the Ricoh since it's conception, leading up to where we are now, I'd rather they fook off and keep there 'supportiveness' to the Higgs and Wasps or in seriousness to an establishment which is owed support, Coventry Rugby Club!

not saying it helps, but surely the council are obliged to cater for the majority of the Coventry residents ?

If more locals cared about their club, they wouldnt have done this.

I would vite against them at the next election if i lived in cov

Hasn't fisher had seven years to do this?
You must be a total moron if you think sisu will build a "12,000" stadium, total cobblers........

Yes except the tories voted for it as well.

Well the option is then to not vote either of them next time, or accept that both of them parties think its the best for the city

For me, I wouldnt vote for anyone who approved this, but its needs the whole city to do the same

That's your choice then.

That response must show Labour or Con are doing something right ?.

Your elected representive has made a decision in the best interest of the city ?

Again, I wouldnt vote for anyone who supported this decision

So if the BNP said vote for us we'll make sure Sisu get the vRicoh you would vote for them if you could?
