Have our newly cleansed and suddenly honest, whiter than white leaders lied to us about the Turner transfer?

1. We have constantly been told Turner is still injured and not ready yet it appears that the healing powers of signing for Cardiff are miraculous and within a day of signing for Cradiff is suddenly fully fit. Has he been fit but they haven't wanted to risk SISU's funding source for the next 3 months being injured and unsaleable?

2. No great loss but we were told that Parkin didn't happen as he failed medical but it seems we simply wouldn't stump up the cash - no problem with this if he's being too greedy but why not just tell the truth.

Onye? Truth? Go on try it for once, break the habit of a lifetime, just ask Ken how to do it.....on second thoughts....

Been a suggestion for a while that Turner has been fit but that we had been keeping him under wraps!

Nothing surprises me anymore.

I heard conflicting reports. One that he'd failed the medical and the other saying we couldn't afford his wages. Don't know what came from where but I know which I believed. As for Turner, you're probably right. He was probably fit, but there's no way of actually knowing for sure unless someone says so there's no point in really speculating about it at the moment.

Someone from a Cardiff forum said that Parkin was on 9 grand a week there, so the wage demand thing may well be right.

So what? He's no great loss! He did well before getting injured, granted, but before that was no great shakes. Good business getting rid of a cb (that we didn't need) getting a striker ( that we desperately did need) and pocketing the change. All your doing here is looking for problems for the sake of problems IMO.

I only heard the 'failed his medical' story from this forum. The CT reported failed to agree personal terms - I.e we couldn't afford his wages. I don't think the club have lied about that one.

Re: turner, wasn't the friendly against notts county supposed to be for him to get some match fitness, suggesting that he was nearly ready for a return and the 2 week break would have probably meany he could have played against derby.

I know that they haven't been particularly truthful but....

I think the problem here is who do you believe? SISU who to be fair have a pretty crappy track record, or Hoffman who it has to said was not 100% clear either, I think it is simple enough and we all know it money men (and women) are not the most trustworthy people.
Hoffman's offer is dead in the water no matter how you look at it, SISU retain control, we came out of the transfer window not too damaged and some ways improved. If Mr. Cody can convert a few chances into goals we'll all be that much happier.

On the Parkin thing..

I live in Cardiff and I' quite involved in local football, the word coming out of my Cardiff City Contacts seems to be he was on 9k, we offered/could pay 6k, he asked Cardiff to pay the remaining 3k to the end of his contract but Cardiff refused. No great loss mind, i'd rather have Cody any day. Interestingly there also seems be be no problems with turners fitness from a Cardiff point of veiw, maybe this thing about keeping him fit to sell has some truth to it.

no great loss? Commanded our defenders easily, won most of the tackles / headers, got forward and scored goals, best rated defender in the league before being injured.

its almost as bad as saying he's injury prone because he had one bad injury.

I am neither for them or against them. I would prefer it if we were taken over by someone that invested money into our team. It looks like there is nobody prepared to do this at the moment. So I now am waiting to see what happens with loan players. You are correct when you say Turner is fit. What team would pay for a player that has had a long term injury and is still not fit? Odds are he is not match fit though. How does this mean they were telling us lies? He will also have to take it easy so not to aggrivate the injury. We will have to wait and see if it was a good time to sell him or not. Lots of players suffer bad injuries and are never as good as they were before.

They can't force players to sign extended contracts. They know if they are good enough to go to a decent team they will get more money moving for free. The players have had the upper hand since Bosman rules started.

How many people on here kept mentioning that we had a transfew embargo? Would not listen to us signing contract extensions, thinking this could be done whilst under an embargo.

We have fans that are too negative, also a few that are too positive. I can come into this category sometimes. Why should I look for negatives all the time? I am positive in life. I can't just look for negatives with my team.

Mate he played a dozen games and did well and was rated the best on the stats for those games. Before that and since then he hasn't played and at the back we are well catered for and look pretty solid. For those reasons he's no great loss IMO. If Clingan or juke or Craine or Keogh went then that would hurt the team.

Us when we signed bellamy! He'd been out for a year with a broken leg.

Also Liverpool signed carroll injured, villa signed downing injured...

Agree with you re match fitness - if he'd stayed he'd have played in the friendly and probably been in the squad for the derby game.

Why are we suddenly making him out to be the greatest player since pele? He's had some shocking games and was always prone to make mistakes. I remember the Leicester away game...awful.

does anyone else think moving Keogh to CB in preseason was all part of this plot? Thought the Sisu guys comments about lots of offers coming direct to him for our players but 'he didn't take the calls' was the highlight of the propoganda/smarm offence

Soft tissue damage is worse than a broken bone. Sometimes even operations can't fix the problem. We will not know if his knee will ever be as strong as before. We will find out once he has played for a few months or has his first tackle that puts pressure on the knee. Knee damage has ended a lot of careers. Only very bad leg breaks normally end careers.

Keogh has been centre half since Andy's first match in March.

he was always prone to some absolute howlers though, not sure he has the brain to be as good as some think

At the end of the day those who do not like sisu in the slightest will always look at ways to have a dig, how do they know turner was fit and ready for ages waiting to be sold by sisu (conspiracy theories) if they signed messi it would only be so they can sell him.
Regarding turner before last years few games he played well I remember reading everywhere that he was shit useless etc etc (proberly by a lot of those now saying he is the best defender in the world).
Sisu are in control weather anyone likes it or not, just because not everyone is consistantly saying sisu are lying every couple of threads does not make them like them we just accept them and there is nothing that can be done until they decide to go.
Whoever takes control IF and when the time comes, they will come out with false promises and lies just like sisu.
Every year people buy season tickets then afterwards they moan because they bought them because they were told that X amount of players were going to be bought and X amount of £ are available, very rarely if ever does this happen yet they buy there season ticket and most vow never to buy again then next year they do it again and the same thing happens.
This is not just sisu who do this or have done this to us.
Also regarding mr blue eyed hoffman surely the way he was going to buy the club is no differant to what sisu are doing, ie a group of investers buying the club to make money, how can most be so naive to think he was going to be any differant? oh yes hes a cov fan, what a load of bollocks money is money at the end of the day and he as far as i know, was only fronting it so was not taking any risks himself, and if these so called business men pulled out so quick at the slightst thing how long would they have been around when the going got tough.
I have nothing against hoffman as I do not know him, like I do not know anyone from sisu but some people are so blind that they think the grass is greener on the otherside always.
I wonder how long it would have been before it would have been hoffman out he's a liar etc etc?

I see what you mean. No way did I say that. If those players had of gone this week we were definitely relegated. I've never felt that before about any player leaving.
I dont understand the get a grip comment?

I'm pretty sure the Cov Telegraph reported it as failed medical at one point, they are back to wage demands now.

And who exactly is pocketing the change? And the Dann money, and the Aron money...leaving us with a weakened squad after the summer exodus.

I think you will find that the difference - around £1m - is what SISU call their investment to keep us going until the next transfer window when they can off load again and "invest" to keep us going until the end of the season
