Because they can? It might well be something of nothing, but in general where we might have had some ability to influence CCC, Wasps won't really give a monkey's about us, and won't feel obliged to make anything public that they can keep secret.

The club's future at the Ricoh is now at the whim of Wasps. ACL is their baby, 100% and for 250 years. I think we're going to see some differences, not all of them positive.

Who has said it is owned by a hedge fund?
and where have they got their information from??

Apologies if I am wrong, but I thought it had been stated several times in the press and on threads, that some money towards the stadium purchase (how much I dont know) is backed by a Maltese Hedge Fund.

Think you will find that Wasps are owned by Richardson and Wasps now control ACL,could be wrong

Yep I think he is the owner of Wasps, but I thought that the funding for the Ricoh was assisted by other parties. I seem to remember seeing this in the Daily Telegraph and a couple of other papers, and that some of this funding was through a Hedge Fund? I think it will take time for it all to come out in full.

If anyone knows any better I will be happy to stand corrected.

It's a bit of a paper trail, but in essence it's Richardson that owns Wasps.

Wasps are 100% owned by Canmango Ltd a holding Company registered in London, largest shareholder David Thorne. Canmango Ltd are 100% owned by Moonstone Ltd who shares are 100% owned by MGI Fiduciary Services in which Derek Richardson is the primary shareholder. Both Moonstone Ltd and MGI are Malta registered companies, so quite difficult to establish details.

I don't think MGI is really a hedge fund, it offers a lot of actual services.

Not sure I see any surprise or significance in this so far. I would expect a complete change of directors with the CCC and Charity ones all retiring from the Board. In theory the company doesn't need more than one director (Eastwood) although I would think there will be some appointments.

Just more evidence of the changes going on. Also whereas CCC and AEHC perhaps had a duty to be more transparent because of the more public nature particularly of CCC there is no such duty now placed on ACL under the ownership of Wasps. They simply do not have to comment unless they choose to

Don't think it should be that surprising that Wasps are removing what are in effective other companies' employees from the board of a company they now run.

I wonder whether the charges that Richardson has over Wasps will be secured against the lease?

going to depend where the 250 year lease sits. If it sits in London Wasps Holdings and ACL now sub lease from them now then yes he will certainly have first charge over the 250 year lease. It might be different if the 250 year lease is in ACL because CCC has first charge over all ACL assets to secure the loan. Has the loan been repaid or some other arrangement completed? we don't know yet.

Strange irony that the name behind the original flawed stadium plan is now the man in charge. The name Richardson gives me the creeps.
