Does anyone know where the club are with contract renewals?

Sammy is the obvious one who is out of contract at the end of this season. Has he been offered a new deal etc etc?

And who else is and who is likely to stay?

When Bell and McPake signed their deals, Thorn said they had offered all players whos contracts run out at the end of the season an extension.

this would obviously have included Sammy, and Crainie

Clingan, Cranie, Platt, Eastwood and Mcsheffery I think are all out of contract off the top of my head.

All players have been offered new contracts I think.

Christie, clingan & crainie definately. Baker & sheffs could earn another year but not the way they've started season.

If I was running the club I'd want the following signed up before the end of the season.

Clingan
Cranie
Christie
Thomas
Keogh
Jukebox

The rest are all dependent on form and alternatives available. Though it's always cheaper to sign an existing player.

I'd go with that. With Eastwoods contract coming to an end... we may see the run of form we originally expected from him. Contracts coming to an end have a funny way of having that effect (ahem... Leon Best). :thinking about:

It rather depends on:
a) what the terms are, they might be reduced
b) if the player/agent seeing city are favourites to be relegated are saying, we will wait to see & decide in (say) March
c) player tapped up by almost anyone else, goto be more secure than City the way things look!
