How so? We've had some shocking loan players from PL clubs -Reece brown, lee sawyer, brian Kerr, Eddie Johnson, akpom, henderson, Richard Duffy, etc. They won't be loaning PL quality or championship quality players to CRFC, they would rather them get experience in a higher league.

I can just speak from what I've heard from fans of those clubs, most seem to rate the loaned players quite highly. One of our most recent loan players was with London Welsh, he actually ended up signing a contract for them after they promoted and was one of the few to stay in the 1st team both in the championship and premiership.

I don't think anyone will blindly follow them. They will fail or thrive on their own actions and if they attract the support but what is clear, they recognise that have to establish themselves in a new location and the point being made is that are very active in supporting a strategy. I don't recall them hiding from their supporters or not engaging with Football supporters.
They are out there doing their stuff, SISU have not been. look at the current supporters representation fiasco. its just one disaster after another with them

You are right ccfc have never done anything to engage with fans.
-family fun days
-cheap tickets offers
-sky blues in the community
- open training sessions
- signing sessions
- free tickets given out through schools
- fans forums
- players visiting school, and charities
- JSB memberships
- regular emails and newsletters
I know our owners are shit, but this continual moaning that the club does nothing to try and engage fans its ridiculous.

I agree, SISU are dog shit at PR and always have been. However, it doesn't mean I want to run and support another team because they have better PR.
Can anybody remember the uproar when people said SISU were giving free tickets in Northampton? It was like they had been round punching old women or something.

, you continually criticise my support for CCFC, based on my positive attitude towards Wasps even though I have bought 2 season tickets for CCFC this year and have supported them since 1967.Wasps are not the problem here. We have had ample opportunity to be in their position, but Sisu being a hedge fund, operate by threats to drive down value and get it on the cheap.
They thought, as did most people, that a stadium with no CCFC would fold and they, not CCFC, would gain a major asset and make their money and move on at the expense of CCC.
With Wasps stepping in, from nowhere, CCC had a narrow window to decide whether to let the stadium go to Wasps, instead of to CCFC, as they intended.
The decision I suggest was an easy one as Wasps would have moved on and the CCC relationship with Sisu would continue.
I fully appreciate that the opportunity to own the Ricoh has gone but in reality it would have been owned by Sisu not CCFC.
All I want now is to get the best out of the situation and in my eyes that is a successful Wasps with CCFC, as 'wanted and looked after' tenants at the Ricoh.

Mostly they don't even get to Cov RFC, Barkers and Broadstreet all feed into Worcester. So they only get into Covs system if the bigger clubs have passed them over.

The free tickets at Northampton would go directly against the policy of the majority of CCFC fans who had decided that an empty Sixfields was the best way to get CCFC back home.
I believe this was a lever to make out that fans were attending in numbers and that not attending Sixfields was fruitless.
I also believe that as long as there was an okay turn out at the stadium that the FL would sit back and do absolutely nothing.

You are glorifying a franchise and delighting in everything they do that is better than the CCFC equivalent. With ACL in tow the club would have been so much easier to sell, that was the whole point. Sorry, but your posts come across as boastful that CCFC have lost out, which is why I take the tone towards you that I do. It's pathetic.

Ah the word majority.
They were trying to promote the club in the local area after they were moved away (temporarily), the same as Wasps are doing. Either it is good PR or it is just to boost numbers, which one is it?

Wasn't Adams Park there home? I constantly hear people telling us the Ricoh is our home as long as we continue to play there, even using the house analogy that if you rent a house it is still your home. Does the same no apply to Wasps?

Or you could say, when Wasps have no home ground and after many years have been unable to get one the opportunity comes up at the cut price Ricoh (Thanks to Sisu)
The decision is easily made because the support in Wycombe is minimal and the void of a top class rugby team in Warwickshire/West Midlands is apparent.
The added bonus is that they now get all the revenues they create at the newly purchased stadium.
Next, they need to feed on the positivity of CCFC management and it's fans and make it a win win situation for both teams by giving CCFC access to incomes and on a cheap long term rent.
Lets hope they don't read this board, revisit Sisu history at the Ricoh, talk to CCC about any outstanding court cases or become aware of a competitive stadium planned in 'the area'.

The difference is that the Ricoh fits our ambitions.
Adams Park does not fit Wasps ambitions and certainly is not the 15,000 ground required for European competitions.
I believe they even tried to finance a bigger stadium for both in the area but got refused.

Didn't a cut price rental deal come up compared to the Ricoh in Northampton, how come you didn't get so wet for that?

That wasn't what was said on here, if you rent a place it is your home according to those on here. Therefore Adams Park was there home and as you have quite rightly pointed out Coventry certainly isn't their home.
