Ricoh Open Day ... This is how to do it. (7 Viewers)

Yeah, it is like when people went to Sixfields to watch their team play it meant they supported every single thing SISU have done and will ever do and are best pals with Joy. However, you go to watch a Rugby team that has been moved that you don't even support and it is just watching a Game of Rugger.

The best thing is, so many of the quotes for the Wasps stuff is just rehashed from Sixfields or what people have said but just turned around. :)

Ah ok, at least you've admitted it there. Pretty courageous of you to be honest.

Why are you on here? As you live so far away you don't get to see many CCFC matches do you? Your not a CCFC fan so I don't understand why you post on here.

That isn't my opinion of course, but I just thought you should know how it feels when someone questions your support for a club you have followed since you were 7 years old.

Do you remember Trevor Hockey then? Always liked him.

Spider Ricoh stated that it was great news they own the Ricoh and some other idiot (someone 87) has declared than great landlords. Martcov hardly looks cut up about it either.

Wrong. I am cut up, but I don't think a New stadium will ever be built and if it is, the PL dream is over as the stadium will be too small and in the wrong place. The Ricoh has everthing we need, but unless we become part of the Wasps group, we will never benefit fully. That doesn't mean i love Wasps, but they have the keys to the Ricoh and there is nothing to suggest there will ever be a New stadium. 2 Stooges being shown Blacked out Post codes smacks of theatre. Who do the Fans representatives report back to? Or are they there as a sort of press release agency?

I wouldn't respond with childish threats on an internet forum.

Just so I dont get it wrong can you do me a list of what SISU are and are not responsable for with the club they own and apparently run as I was under the impression that the buck stopped with them.

But they didn't sell ACL to wasps?

Is Eastwoods cock nicer to suck than Fishers? Is that why you've dumped him?

Can't think I've ever liked Fisher to be honest. As for Eastwood I've never met him.
I've obviously never met you as I doubt you've ever left your bedroom.

well with an average of 15.5k in our last season on the championship we had one of the lowest turnovers in the league, despite having better attendances than 9-10 other teams. So no, reliance on ticket sales and little/no access to matchday and additional revenues won't finance us in the championship, especially given their FFP rules are different.

It was our wage bill and poor management that was our downfall.

Also to be clear, 'full access to matchday revenues' in our context means around 80% of the total, which is ACL's share in IEC. Compass get the other 20%.

I'm still waiting for an example of what would be an acceptable level rent and "incremental access to matchday revenue" is....

0.0000001% in year 1, increasing by 0.1% every 10 years.

If you rent a house but somebody flies a helicopter into it, it doesn't make it your fault. Although if SISU did, they would probably have moved that house in front of the helicopter.

Of course, nobody is blaming Wasps for things going on at the club are they? Has anybody even tried to blame Wasps for the goings on on the pitch?

WTF? Helicoptors! Have a word with yourself.

If no ones blaming Wasps I presume there will be no more talk on sky blues talk about Wasps? You could always try leading by example.

No list then? I didn't think so

Yes and no. We were one of the poorest clubs in the league, we were always going to go down eventually, we just couldn't compete with other teams (our turnover £10.5m, 3 promoted teams wage bills £28m+). Do you want to know the teams in the bottom 3-4 turnovers that season - Barnsley, Peterborough and Doncaster....which league are they in again?

So yes, in the championship, with no/little access to matchday and additional revenue we are financially the size of peterborough and doncaster.

You don't just get them, you need to buy them or earn them.
If you want to run a shop, people don't just give you a shop full of stock. Surely you know this ?

So when Eastwood said the club would stay in or around London it was true?

When he said moving to Coventry makes it nearer for most wasps fans to get to games its true?

You actually believe that?

I told you i don't listen or never had ,, but as he is holding the keys to the Ricoh, i would say his words and actions are louder and more important sadly than our Mr fisher....I don't agree with Wasps, i don't like the idea of them at the Ricoh but they are there, as for do i believe him???? it don't know or don't care i tend to look at facts at what man is saying he is building a stadium to one who has bought a stadium!!!!..

A good number of promoted teams had astronomical levels of debt to achieve those wage bills, but point taken. Not a risk we could take.

If Sisu had done an open day at sixfields, would you have been fawning over that too?

except they didnt...

Whilst i dont support or care at all about Wasps, responding to this thread, its exactly what SISU should have done when we went to Northampton...

Free coaches etc..

Buying something off someone who is desperate to sell, way to go Easters.

I have absolutely no idea what your on about.

However I do know that you a one seriously nasty piece of work.

Your not stupid, which makes it worse. You at any opportunity try to belittle and insult your opponents in debate. There are one or two others on here the same, but you are the king pin of this.

You clearly do not care what you say to people, how hurtful your comments are, so long as you win your argument.

You really are the worst type of poster, and I suspect a very unpleasant person.

Some of Eastwood's quotes so far:

'This is not a franchise move'

'There is no PR machine'

(when asked about changing the seats) 'I don't know what colour the seats were at Wycombe'

(when asked about booting CCFC out of the dressing room) 'Discussions are ongoing'

Can you explain how any of these are not spin?

Im not saying its not spin but does he hold the keys to the Ricoh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spin with actions is more than spin with a court date.. Sorry as i dont care for Wasps or what they are doing now, I'm more mad at a man who is being compared, who was to busy in court cases and NTFC than buying what was and should of been ours.....

Wasps bought 100% of ACL, ACL in turn have 80% of IEC which is where the revenues in question actually go. Wasps have not paid for this shareholding and the revenue rights that come with it just to sell some of it away again.

Yep. But then they had turnovers x2 of ours to start with.

Of course not.

What would the naming rights have been worth next year without either or us solely next year ?

I would say 'this is not a franchise move' is a barefaced lie but suspect we'll go round in circles on this one.

Good question. My feeling is that Wasps would attract more sponsorship than we would and that us being there along with them would not add much to attract a sponsor.
