Why would anyone moan if SISU finally started showing some ambition? No one hates SISU as they are a faceless corporation that has for the past three years owned our club (in a roundabout fashion I know OSB) and in that time nothing has improved and in all respects things have deteriorated with a v poor inexperienced squad currently fulfilling many fans prediction of relegation. It is early days in this season and IF they show some semblence of ambition by signing two or three experienced loan players that we desperately need then they will be acting like responsible owners who care about the club. We can all appreciate the financial plight that SISU inherited from the previous incompetent muppets who ran the club but they knew the situation when they took the club over. They obviously bought into Ransons plan and then for whatever reason turned their back on it and started the cost cutting, selling and general running down of the reason the club exists - the team for us to support. Since this process started they have been very economical with the truth, never given straight answers (anyone who listened to Clouting at the fans forum would verify their inability to answer a straightforward question) and have lost the trust of the fans. Even now after the direct statement from Onye which contained lots of words but said absolutely nothing, a trait shared with the highly unpleasant Dulieu, there is no clear plan or vision from SISU that the fans can look at and maybe even buy into. They have allowed some of the funds they have received from selling players to be reinvested in a third division striker and we are supposed to tug our forelocks and say "thankee sir, we don't need another"? They have some huge bridges to build, if they even want to build them, and the only way to do this is by actions not empty words. McDonald is a tiny step in the right direction but many more need to be made before they win over hearts and minds, or more importantly loosen the population of Coventry's purse strings and get more people and revenue into the club.

Rome wasn't built in a day as they say.
Maybe the mess this club was in is just starting to be turned around, just a thought and looking at things in a very very wide picture.

very true but atleast they made some progress in 3 years, when building rome they wernt in the same state they started in 3 years down the line were they ?:thinking about::thinking about:

Why do we have to have a new sisu thread every day? It's been over discussed so much! Can't wait for the football to begin again so there's something new to talk about!

Didnt they say they were going to get a couple of loan players in before derby??? ICHAN,i dont want to start bickering with you,but if they did get a couple of quality loan players in then fair enough. If they do i think a large part of it would of been down to fan pressure in my opinion. For a lot of people though(myself included)there is no way back for sisu. Most people will never believe anything they say again. Can you blame them?

excellent post ashbyjan, sums up my feelings aswell. the problem, is yes we might get a couple of decent loan signings in, and i hope we do, but its another short term fix... whats the long term plan?? what happens next season??? we wont have any income because we have taken out a loan on season tickets etc? where are we heading??? i can only see it getting worse under sisu, the departures of clingan and crainie for a pathetic fee look inevitable in january.... and the excuse will be made that they didnt want to stay but i can tell you 1st hand sisu are not ones for making an effort to keep our players. Aron Gunnarson and Robbie Simpson have both told me this. I want sisu out of this club asap. and it is going to take alot more than cody mcdonald and a couple od loan signings to change my mind. The only reason they have a stay of execution right now is because there is no one around to take us over and they ruined the Hoffman bid!. Now im saying Hoffman was the answer but they clearly leaked the bid details to the national papers. and dooloo clearly name dropped Bruce's name deliberately. They are a shady bunch and do not conduct bussiness in the right manner.

the only bright side is we have a history of doing well when being the underdogs. a win against Derby could seriously turn the season around as it is still too early to panick. if the loan players do well and cody scores a few by jan we will be safe, if it stays as it is obviously we will go down, do you honestly thnk SISU want us to go down> how will that make them any money? buy and sell is there aim, of players for a profit whilest keeping the debt in another company, that way they still make their profit.

Thanks Valiant 15 for not wanting to bicker or argue about this as that is what I have put in a thread about dividing fans up on a subject of high emotions.
And fair enough why should you or anyone beleive them if thats how you and others feel.
Personally I think hate is a strong word for a faceless group of people who I do not know on a personal level my opinion and anyone who hates them thats there opinion.
Regarding the loan signings I will just wait and see what happens there, don't get me wrong I would like them out/or start some real investing into the club they took over in the hope of making money out of, but it never worked out for them for some reason or another uptil now.
Lets hope they do or someone does take us over in the future, but for now lets just hope the group of players we have at the moment start winning some games (or though that could have the reverse effect) starting against derby.

Summed up perfectly.

sisu havent got a clue how to run a football club and have made a complete mess of running this club ,and lost us millions of ££££s by letting players like king, gunnar and westwood leave for nothing
they talked about new contracts for gunnar, fox, westwood dann etc years ago and messed them about so you couldnt blame them when they jumped ship
everytime we have looked like we are getting a good team together , they either sell our best players or dont invest to take us to the next level.
but i think what annoys every fan is the lies they have fed us for example like telling us the money that was available for king, gunnars, and westwood wages is still available when it clearly isnt!
all i ask is honesty and a competative team to support

ICHAN "Were CCFC no bottom/middle table prem team we are where we should be and that's it, were no club of stature or any boy hoods dream of a club wanting to play for us, maybe the players just don't want/wanted to play for us and wanted to go, do not want to play for us.
Oh hang on thats ken and sisu's fault."

John Cleese-" i'm upper class, i look down on him"
Ronnie barker-" I'm middle class, i look up to him, but i look down on him"
Ronnie Corbett AKA CCFC- "I know my place"
Just the kind of defeatist, no ambition attitude i mentioned in another thread. We're all aware of where we are, some of us aspire to have a football club whose stature mirrors the size of our city, not the small mind of a supporter who feels it necassary to create a thread, belittleing the views of anyone who dares to question the way the club is being run. You accuse us of being negative moaners yet your'e post has absolutely no positivity what so ever. Accept the least and you will be given the least,

You can have all the will in the world and you have the right to feel how you want to feel.
However I have called no-one small minded as you feel the need to here.
I accused some as moaners and people who like to have a moan no matter what thats true (my brothers one infact).
And yes I feel we are where we are due to a long running way in which the club has been run for many a year not just by the prescent owners, and the only time our club mirrored the size of the city was in 87 (from my days supporting ccfc anyway) so in that case I feel I have the right of my opinion, and to start a thread about whatever I want to thats my privalage.
I could go and put that I think X person is small minded as I do not agree with there opinion but I would not stoop to such name calling of a person who wrote something that they feel is right, I may debate about it but not call them small minded.
Just my opinion.

You are of course entitled to start a thread about anything you wish, i have not said otherwise. when the essence of that thread is, accept where we are and stop moaning, i feel i have the right to give a forthright reply. Just my opinion of course. If i have offended you by calling that attitude small minded i apologise. I remember the spirit in this city in 87 ichan, as i'm sure you do. I dont think that spirit should be exclusive to our generation.

Apology accepted jonnythespider thank you.
Of course everyone has a right to an opinion and if we all agreed it would be a damn boring world.
As I stated early things could have been put differantly at the start and I did apoligise if I offended or labled anyone.
And I honestly believe that the feeling of 87 should be shared again as it was a magical moment being the big underdog and winning, driving back down the motorway with people standing on bridges cheering and waving etc makes the hairs on the back of my neck still stand up as well as other intoxicated moments for days after.
It would be amazing again I grant you but I think the fans weather you agree or not should get behind the team (as I am sure everyone does) and the backroom stuff will take care of itself eventually, in my opinion though unfortunatly at this moment in time we are stuck with sisu weather we like it or not (which no one has to), but my biggest fear is, is if they do pull out then I think we will really struggle so while they are there like it or not we do still have a fighting chance as we still have a club to support (may not be getting invested in on the field like we want) but it is still there.

Ultimately all fans of the club should get behind the players on the pitch. Its a young team with their backs against the wall, Thorn is trying to create a crazy gang sort of spirit, with the fans backing them it could do the club a world of good.

ICHAN,managed to resist the temptation to post yesterday, however your recent posts,Turner or cody ,devided fans and more recently What u gonna do, which was goading in its nature are supposedly to create a debate.however with their polarised titles tend to come across as stifling of debate, much like politicians tactics when trying to confine the conversation to their own agenda.this giving the the impression that it becomes aQ + a session with ICHAN . We're all free to express ourselves and should be comfortable in our own skin, just my oppinion no offence intended.

I haven't trawled through all the posts, but the first page alone gave me ample disappointment on which I wanted to briefly reflect. The few thousand loyal fans who remain rattling around the Ricoh turning on each other; exactly what we need. I loosely know Gary Hoffman and I want him to spearhead a bid to take over the Club. At present, such a scenario is not going to take place. I suspect SISU will take us into administration and then the deal will go through. But... that is merely speculation. Our situation is what it is at the moment.

I am not the type to kick off with my fellow fan for having views which contradict my own. Not in person at the Ricoh, not on a football forum. Despite being disappointed Hoffman's deal didn't go through and negotiations have broken down completely, I am pleased the transfer window saw us acquire a striker at the expense of a centre back. I am pleased it was Cody McDonald, from that YouTube clip. The last day of the transfer window was arguably the most positive day of the season so far (since other positives have come hand in hand with disappointment - at results, at other performances, etc.).

I'm not over-hyping McDonald from one YouTube video, but I am within my rights to feel a modicum of positivity. My stance on SISU has not changed... I feel let down and I don't feel they have the best and long term interest of the Club in heart (along with seeming unwillingness of other parties to deal with them; the team of investors and Council included). I don't particularly care if you feel differently, until you patronise me for forming an opinion that differs to your own.

I'm looking forward to the Derby game. Let's just be united on that; no need for default moaning and griping just because we support Cov. If Cody smashes in a brace and we win 3-1, I will leave pleased. It doesn't mean I suddenly believe SISU are the answer to our problems. If we make those couple of loan signings it was indicated would be made, I will also be pleased. I might feel more inclined to give SISU more time, I might not. Who knows? I suspect I will still be inherently sceptical about their running of the Club I support, but happy that things are improving on the pitch. No-one's business but my own.

No offence taken wingy, everyone is entitled to have there say.
The turner or cody thread was in response to unfortunatly we had no choice (weather we like it or not, don't like it myself) but to loose someone to get someone in, so I was asking weather we should have kept turner (who had been injured for a long time, and up until a purple patch people were saying how awful he was (old cet site), this may have had dividing sides of the arguement but people do put threads like this on a lot, maybe it was just the timing of it but there was no harm in the question (my opinion).

I have agreed with some on here and admitted that this could have been put differantly and there was no vintictivnees intended in the thread at all, the only reason it became a aQ + a session with ICHAN is because no-one else was getting involved hardly other than the (SISU HATERS no problem with them, but I bet there are people on here who feel the same as I do) and so I felt I had to defend what I had started and it would have been weak of me not to have debated my point of view with the points that were being raised/commented on regarding what I had started.
My opinion and no offence aimed at anyone.
