They could just use some of your recent posts then NW...... ;-)

Perhaps we could have a random set of a dozen insults patched into everyone's posts...

Laughable. The F and B alone will be huge.

I dont know about huge but bigger than at Wycombe.......for a one off game.

Lets see how its going by the end of the season, or next season, when the novelty has worn off, shall we before you start crowing about it.

Oh and talking of Crowing I dont see Saracens doing it everytime they get a huge crowd at Twickenham, in one of their games there, but then thats a Rugby team who used all the F and B profits to move back home to London and build their own ground rather than moving even further away to the tune of 80 plus miles. Some clubs do it right, some are just plain wrong.

To be fair, wasn't it due to be in the evening before the game but then changed last minute?

Oh yer another excuse.

Come on the truth is most can't be bothered they come on here to scream and shout.

But when they are asked for support there is always a barrier as to why they can't go.

Not really an excuse is it. I think a lot more would have been there if it was just before the game.

How many people can book an afternoon off that morning? Fair play if you can.

I was going to go to the game from work via there. Mainly just to prove a point :p

tbf, I do see your point, but I do also remember that the timing of the meeting was 'coincidentally' changed late on, wasn't it, which kind of took the wind out your sails.

Not pretending there'd have been any more than a dozen regardless ;) but the sudden change in time didn't help, did it.

I'm by no means saying the trust should have come out and said everybody must go to sixfields, they could have tried to make a shit situation a bit better for the fans though couldn't they? They could have helped the club in that way?

whereas trying to say over and over how good the wasps move is seems weird.

So now it is the Trusts fault?
TBF the trust had a vote amongst its members and the overall verdict was to not back it.......
Funny how Sisu said that the Council,ACL,Higgs and the trust wouldn't speak to them they cried like babies when in truth it was them all along.

But hey believe what you want.

Oh and how could the trust have helped SISU?
Which BTW went against the members wishes.

When have I said it was the Trusts fault?
Just that when you have people from the board coming on and trying their hardest to justify franchising in the Wasps move it looks a bit bad doesn't it?

By helping the club I meant be a negotiator with the fans, we were in Northampton, why not try and make the best out of a shit situation if possible? I am not saying email everybody saying they must go, but if they were going, then the trust have negotiated this and that.

Nick what part of wouldn't speak to the trust do you not understand?
How can you negotiate with someone who resents what you stand for,
Tim and joy resented (and still do) the trust and everything they stood for after all they had more members then sisu had going to Sixfields?

Oh and some trust members went to sixfields they come to all the meetings and have never ever got abused.

Didn't they ask the Trust for help when the move first happened?

Didn't they have some issue about the Haskell thing? Kind of proves them a bit right with all of the promotion Wasps are getting and how good it is for the city ;)

Nick/LAST, don't see why you're both focussing on the council house no-show when you could both look at the Trust led protest by the Godiva statue which drew thousands. Credit to the Trust for organising, credit to the people of Coventry for showing up. Case closed!

I am not focusing on the trust I am just trying to defend their stance on not backing the move to sixfields as this was what the majority of the membership voted for.

For that reason alone Sisu refused to speak to them and refused any offers of help.

Yes the chairman of the trust, have a read about how good it is for the city etc.

So are people not allowed to have an opinion?
Does that mean he does not have CCFC at heart?
Sorry Nick but he has done more then his fair share to get the City back to the Ricoh tried to get them to be more open and trusting told them numerous times to put in an offer for the Ricoh over the years. But hey suppose that makes him the bad man.

As you know I know Steve personally and he has run around like an madman over the last year or so taking time off work every time he was called to do so.

No one more passionate then Steve when it come to CCFC IMO. Shame we don't have a few more like him.

I have never ever doubted his commitment as a fan, never ever questioned that or even people like italias status as a city fan. I only have digs like that when I'm quite sure. ;)

I just don't agree with the stance on sixfields and then wasps, at least you and bhsb are deadly against both.

People went to games at sixfields and it was wrong and they got shit, now another team has moved it's fantastic.

So what was there stance on sixfields and wasps then?

It is down to the members not individuals.....
So are the majority of the members wrong for differing from your views?

Btw 90% of supporters had the same view, not just the members of the trust that is why you were in the minority but hey we were all wrong I presume.

Wish he would lay it out in black and white why that is the case and perhaps we could support him. I still believe its Sisu spin and crowds of 20,000 with good access to football generated revenues would get us through.
If it was as simple and as easy as negotiating a good rent with good revenues then why didn't Wasps do that to play in one of the London stadiums rather than relocating? there's plenty of adequate stadiums for them there. By their own admission Wasps couldn't survive on a rental deal in the Rugby premiership. Why is renting viable for CCFC when it wasn't for Wasps?

So what is your stance against "giving shit" to people who attend Wasps games? Seems you think that they are now fair game.

You've basically become the person shouting "Scab", which is strange as a few months ago you claimed to hate such behaviour.

Only if those people gave people stick for sixfields or have only come on here to market wasps. ;)

I've said many a time if people want to go then fair play, if wasps fans are going I feel for them heading to travel so far but fair play to them too. If people who gave people stick about sixfields go, then surely they can see why they may get stick?

Just copy and paste their sixfields comments ;)

A quite significant proportion given they averaged only 5.5k at adams park last season.

I wonder how many are CCFC fans? Was this the one that someone posted a link too on here? If so, I signed it and I've never been to a Wasps game ever and never will.

Bit like the 18k that signed our petition then, when the link was posted on every football league teams Internet forums.

Rob S didnt have much joy protesting at the council house either. IIRC he did the midweek one that LR promoted when he still worked at the CET and a Saturday one and IIRC Robo was the only persob on here who attended and he's quite a nuetral poster IMO who's not constantly blaming AL and CCC.

Did anyone try to make out it was a huge percentage of our average crowd like you have with the Wasps one? If anything it just proves that the wider football comunity cared more about our situation than the wider RFC community cares about Wasps situation. How many RFC forums were asked to promote the Fix Football petition by the way?

But you keep going on about this but its a bit of a non issue. Can you name 5 people that gave abuse to sixfielders that have now said they will watch wasps?

Also I think you missed my point. Regardless of what anyone has said in the past, if you now shout down anyone for going to wasps, it makes you no better than them.

Everyone's free to make choices in life. Be that to watch us in Northampton or watch Wasps in Coventry. But saying that I can understand why some went to watch us in Northampton but don't have a clue why any CCFC supporter would want to go to watch Wasps. Wrong club. Wrong game. Just wrong.

If you read to all the derogatory remarks made on here about Rugby fans what do you expect. Percentage wise I think that they have had a better turnout on their petition then we did.
There are a percentage that enjoy both sports, then their are the majority who only watch one and therefore only care about that particular one.

When you look at the attendances in the prem of both sports.

Football=13.9 million

Rugby 1.7 million (Man Utd had 1.4 million on there own)

BTW I enjoy watching both I don't like Cricket but hold no malice against those that do, and I will even watch the highlights on the odd occasion.

Maybe they also like Rugby and as both play on the same day it will give them a chance to watch a game n Saturday and a game on Sunday simple really.

Wouldn't have thought that many would go so don't really see why so many are getting their knickers in a twist.

They are just four without checking, pretty sure there will be one more knocking about after doing a search.

I didn't say abuse, I said stick. All I do is copy and paste comments back to people from when they went to Sixfields. Try and find a post where I have said anybody who goes to Wasps are scabs or if wasps fans travel up to Coventry they aren't true fans.

Like I said, people have the right to do what they please. If they want to go and watch wasps then fair play, however if they gave people stick for going to watch their own club play but then just gloat about going to watch a different franchise they have no ties to at all, surely the irony is there to see.

Coventry already has a rugger club though. If they also like rugger why would they go to watch Wasps and not the Coventry club? How many that are saying that they are going to watch Wasps already go to watch the club we already have in Coventry?

Yes I believed they did for both the epetition and CET poll, and I was scoffed at when I pointed out that other clubs fans may have voted.

Why are you defending them?

Just for the record
I never abused anybody for going.
I did pressure them not to go by saying they were supporting Sisu plan of stressing ACL by being there. Which is proven in court.

As on the franchise argument.
Sisu did it solely to make money for themselves whilst Wasps are building a home for their fanbase, which can be argued is insufficient in London but potentially substantial here.
Evidently, just moving here gives them the highest turnover in the Premiership.
It also gives them security here as don't forget their lease at Adams Park was up at the end of the season.
