funny post, flag resting on a statue = offensive. cunty, cockney, w*sps, dumb fuckers = not offensive?

I find it very strange to see people getting so worked up about this which I'm sure wouldn't bother the man one little bit yet not having the same bile for the real offensive stuff that has happened to coventry city football club under sisus tenure, stuff that is really offensive to Jimmy Hill.

Haven't you heard? Its not SISU's fault. Its cunty, cockney (North Lonon club but if the cap doesn't fit run with it anyway) wasps, dumb fuckers fault. Do keep up.

Such a great point that you made it three times. You can get "likes" from your Council chums on three different posts that way. Clever.

I haven't heard that at all to be honest Tony176......

...Unless of course you are referring to the specifics of this thread....ie placing a scarf from a soulless plastic franchise rugby club on the statue of our very own Mr. football......

In which case, I'd bet my drinks cabinet that you're actually correct.....it wasn't sisus fault......it was clearly down to some dumb fucker cunty w*sps fan....

According to witnesses ( allegedy), it was clearly down to some dumb fucker cunty city fan ( must be one of those, as most city fans wouldn't do that )...... But don't let the alleged facts bother you...

It's never bothered you, so why shouldn't someone else come to the party?

What?? alleged facts from alleged witnesses?? Fuck me....call the lawyers!!!

Call me Hercule Poirot if you wish, but someone with cunty wasps branded goods, at the cunty wasps stadium for a cunty wasps "home" game is clearly a cunty wasps fan.....allegedly...

I think you'll find if you check my post history I have often referred to Sisu as cunts and their actions as cunty.....

.....Just to clarify: Sisu= cunts. ACL (old) = cunts. CCC = cunts. FL = cunts ACL (new) = cunts. Wasps (RFC) = cunts. Wasps (insects) = cunts.

dont need to check your history, the first sentence was directed at your post, the second sentence was directed at responders in general hence the word "people"

Ran this by neutral Celtic fan at work this morning
He just wondered if it was done in an act of solidarity between fans
I doubt if he would take the same view if it had been a Rangers flag on his turf
But in all seriousness was it an act of malevolence or indeed some innocent gesture
Too much of a Leap
Possibly
I know what would get me offended would be a Villa or Worse a Sunderland flag or Exscrement over it

It's all in the product I'm afraid.
Coventry fans have always been fickle but when the product improves they are sitting in wait.

If egg chasing is their thing, why aren't they watching Coventry (12 wins out of 12 I've been told)? Or if it must be top flight egg chasing, then why haven't they been watching Leicester?

I would fucking love it (more than Keegan) if Wasps were relegated and Cov rugby were promoted so had to play eachother next year, although I fucking hate the fact that I am even talking about a sport I have no interest in.

I have zero interest in rugby but totally agree with you Lee, why are these 20K plus not bothering to go and watch our own cities team. I have no interest in rugby or speedway but still feel pride when our teams do well, Wasps winning is meaningless to me, they could win everything going for the next 10 years and I wouldn't care. I'd bloody love it if they got relegated to be honest after keep giving it all the 'we're the richest club in Europe now' crap.

It has absolutely amazed me how people have reacted to this move, even before the move to Sixfields it would have but after everything we've been though I just don't understand how people can become them with open arms.

Because Dave they are symptomatic of todays population. Desperate to tie themselves to ready made success. The mentality of starting at the bottom and working your way up in life has been crushed by modern day society's greed and speed, dog eat dog world !

Because it is a different class of rugby and most of the people there yesterday were not Coventrians. despite Grendels belief only 8% were not from the cv area which is total garbage.

Bugger off there then and stop bleating like a child, if not start your own forum and stop criticising others that do something you couldnt even remotely do.

Isn't the whole concept of the internet about being 'remote'?

It was wasps themselves that over 90% of ticket sales were to CV postcodes, are you saying they were lying?

I respect your view cheifdave but yesterday wasn't aimed at you, how old are you, ? or me but the many youngsters there yesterday and there were loads, waving flags galore coming away happy because "their" team won, gained a new hero, David Goode, and will demand to go again. Dad pays under tens go free, clever. Perhaps our owners can learn a thing or two there.

It's Andy Goode. But you're right, SISU could learn a thing or two. People misunderstand my frustration with SISU and the former ownership regimes for the appreciation of basic things, like the conversion (excuse the pun) of new fans. After the Sixfields debacle, it's the least they should be doing!

I am saying without doubt many more than 8% were from places away from Coventry, most around me were Brummies a group from Wolverhampton. Out of 28000 no way were 25000 from Coventry or the cv area IMO.In the Casino before the game a lot seemed to be southerners
I was speaking to a group of about 10 from Canterbury, had Canterbury RFC shirts on !

On the wasps forum they confirm. 90% were from the local area.

And there is exactly the problem. Wasps and CCC, as well as their new local supporters, claim no damage will be done to CRFC yet you are telling me it was full of kids who have a new hero and demand to go again, how many of those are now potential supporters of CRFC, or CCFC for that matter, who have been lost?

Do you know the history surrounding CRFC ? and why they are where they are now instead of being with the likes of Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints and Wasps, all minnows compared to Coventry RFC of the 60s and 70s. ?

Are you asking me, as when you pose a question its always good to know who the hell it is aimed at?

Edit - And if you are, its yes I do know the history being a long standing Cov and Saints fan.

Very good, your excitement holds no bounds, but if you want to prove a point try doing it this time next year, and see how attendances hold up over that season, rather than when they are bumped by novelty, freebies, and complimentary tickets. Apart from The Tigers most clubs cant sustain such attendances, and as I have always said the proof will be over time.

Where an I excited? Just putting the counter argument. I do both so I assume others might as well.
