Correct, I won't argue with that figure, but a damn site more in the couple of seasons leading up to the SISU takeover 20-22k being mentioned on here.

I can't ever see this club averaging anywhere near twenty thousand for the next 10 odd years with Sisu in charge, so massive is the damage they have caused, and I have been saying for ages if his fantasy stadium is built it should be 10,000 max .
People just will not go ,and those men and their wives/daughters/sons who have found new things to do in the last few years will never return.
I really do not think some on here remotely understand the deep hatred for Sisu amongst those that don't go, that will never change, and taking the club from its home caused irreparable damage to the club and its supporters
So a little 10,000 stadium for the next decade is plenty, we will never be a biggish club again under Sisu, so in my opinion they should build the godforsaken thing and keep ticking the club over in the hope we may reach the Championship ,and stay there for a few years.
Also why do some posters not understand that we will never ever own our own stadium, it's SISU's to charge us what fees it feels whilst they are here, and then take 40% of any revenue it creates, not unless the rent is included in the 40%, but Fisher and co will not release any figures on diddly squat ,concerning build costs ,and how 365 revenues will be generated, so as I always say we know sweet FA about anything.

This is amazing, SISU have converted a Championship club with 20,000 crowds to one where the fans accept the idea of a 12,000 capacity stadium.

I think there would be an attendance boost from SISU leaving, just not back up to the 20k mark (even if we were in the championship)

With the right promotions, advertising etc and based on the Coventry population I genuinely believe that the club could be getting 25k + in the premier league if not 30k. It is a similar population to Leicester etc and they've managed it. Whatever they were getting I'm the championship, we should also be "aiming to get". A 12000 seater stadium stinks of a club attempting to downsize and accept a long future in the lower leagues. Blackpool which is half the population of Coventry has a 17,000 seater stadium. Yet we are planning to build a smaller ground? Its nothing short of ridiculous in my opinion.

The 20,000 was at average gate receipts of. £10 per person and was declining before sisu even purchased the club.
As wasps will find out life at the Ricoh will not be rosy.
what is ridiculous is 8000 odd home fans dotted round a 32k stadium owned by a Rugby club.

No, they played their part but ultimately the blame lies at the feet of the clubs owners.

unfortunately staying at the Ricoh under a matchday only little/no access to matchday and 365 revenue pretty much confines us to a league one-championship yo-yo club at best. Can't see any decent owner wanting to buy us now that the ricoh belongs to wasps.

Surely you'd have to have some fair weather to have fair weather fans? Another poster blaming the fan's for SISU's failings. Just so I know, what does class as a fan these days? I've been to 7 home games this season so far including 2 cup games and did one from the hill too. Do I count?

We know full well that without access to matchday and addition revenue we have one of the lowest 3-4 turnovers in the championship - the below season our turnover was £10.8m only doncaster, barnsley and peterborough's was lower - test our attendance was better than 9 other team.
We do know that wasps want as much revenue as possible to make them the biggest powerhouse in european rugby, so it's unlikely they will give us matchday revenue and they certainly won't be giving us access to 365 day revenue.
We don't know 100% for sure, but in all probability, we're fooked.

Fisher said the current model falls over in the championship and the financial data from our years in the championship seem to support that. It's ok though, we will just go for the italia plan of getting 25k+ and back to back promotions and then we be rolling in the money from the premier league.

Looking at the bars then, we get the green up by playing well and progressing up the leagues, the yellows a given.
The blue needs to be increased by looking at improving incomes. Get what revenues Wasps allow us, increase our own access to pitch side advertising, get that bloody shop stocked, move it to the Ricoh in with Wasps or take up the phoneshop empty unit in Tescos if it hasn't gone already, utilise the Ricoh ticketing system along with Wasps. In general share common facilities with wasps to generate savings. Provide our own offsite parking facilities along with whatever we can get from Wasps. Corporate increases, Wasps/hotel/CCFC packages. Provide our own food outlets outside, hire the indoor arena and do it there. Success generates increased incomes in coach travel, away tickets, shirts, put on train specials for away games from the Ricoh/Coventry.
Theres loads more if you get success and stability.
Stop moaning about revenues and actively pursue some. Stability at the Ricoh will help. IMHO we can generate more additional incomes at the Ricoh than we could at a site in Meriden, Ryton or Balsall common.

And how do you play well and progress up the league's, when you don't have the revenue in the first place to invest in the squad? There's only so many shirts and Pitchside advertising you can sell.
More try much everything you suggest there involves some level of investment, money we haven't got, or is not at all feasible. E.g. Wasps use ticket master who take a cut, we have our own ticketing system, wasps will charge us a bomb to higher the indoor arena for a matchday and wouldn't allow us to sell food - compass have the rights, even outside its on ACL's land, purchasing of land to do car parking, etc.
I think you're clutching at straws. We're between a rock and a hard place, there is no real bright future. Really can't wait for the Concourse to be repainted and the seats to be changed in the next couple of years.

Yeah. Tim Fisher says alot of things most of which should be taken with a huge pinch of salt until proven. We need to get back in the championship to prove or disprove this little line.
Is what he's actually saying is SISU won't put anymore money in than they are in league one so should we go up we can expect to come straight back down?

In league one - probably one of the top 6 turnovers in the league, clubs can only spend 60% of their turnover.

To be fair to Fisher on this one you can compare our revenues when in the Championship to that of other clubs, we were in the bottom handful. Of course success isn't a direct result of increased revenues but I don't think anyone would argue that more revenue gives you an advantage.

The financial figures from the last season in the championship also back it up, so unless the new deal involves a load of revenue streams we don't know about then yes it is proven to be true.
And yes that's pretty much what he is saying, the club on its own can't generate the revenue required to keep us in the championship so relegation would be very likely. Would you rather SISU bankroll keeping us in the championship and continue increasing our debt to them?

I want them to ..
.. Drop the court cases.
.. Work with Wasps to get the best deal they can for say a minimum of a rolling 5 years with safeguards.
If need be, then ..
.. Show us why the deal does not work long term.
