Anything that misdirects the true questions on any post is good for those who don't want Sisu to be proved the total wankers they are... And before the next question flies i dont care for CCC or a charity in this case,, but FFs turn it in,, Sisu and TF are working for a secret investor not a fan who is paying them for the privilage to carry on..

Even if a ground is built how is it being paid for and how much RENT will ccfc end up paying and to who!!! not going to happen SG needs to keep her nose out and powder dry if anything is to be announced she will be well forgotten and rightly so....

Seasons greetings

I wonder if you would be so kind to answer 3 quick questions given the article on Coventry City mad

When will the site be announced? - I have been told they will make an announcement in the new year

Is it within the city boundaries? I am bound by duty of confidentiality, sorry

How will it be funded-I don't know. This is a question for the club, I am sure they will explain once the land purchase is completed

Thank you

Pete

I thought she didn't work for the club and was just an interested fan?

Yet more bullshit eaten up.

Slightly different slant for you RFC. Do you think it feasible that supposed money making people would want to buy a piece of land, sit on it for a few years (around the time of a rental deal at the Ricoh) and then look to sell it on to a house builder for a profit? Land is becoming more and more valuable.

You see they will keep a few people happy with that idea, their investors who will see a return and puppets like you who are hooked by this shit.

It's the idea that they will load debt from other ventures onto CCFC that is nonsense. How exactly do you suppose they get away with that given the club as a business and not forgetting the FFP requirements that the club has to adhere to. There is no way either that liquidation will give them more back- the only asset of any worth is the control of the golden share, and they won't get a penny for it if they liquidated the club. It's exactly that kind of nonsense spouted that makes the situation worse.

As for how do they turn a profit... well that's a tough one. Realistically it's only ever going to come from on pitch success. The club is probably now just about ticking over, so they don't have to sell... sadly they are going to be here for a long while yet.

All those people that were so pleased that SISU got nothing out of the Ricoh were too stupid to realise that was probably the one chance we had to get rid of them.

In which case why the fuck aren't you and some of the other 'balanced ones' banging down the fucking door of Sisu/Otium to ask them why they didn't buy the thing? You see, you're all quick to slag off CCC/ACL/Wasps or any other party but Sisu when you should be screaming at Fisher and co for fucking up the one chance we had of owning the fucking thing. But no, why ask the actual people who control our destiny when you can carry on asking people who don't.

Some weeks ago Garlick told CCLSC members that the new site "is within 8 miles of the city boundaries".

This is why I'm slightly surprised we haven't even bought any land. It seems, to me, limited risk to do so (certainly relative to owning a football club!) so you'd think we'd have progressed *that* much!

For me, if what you say is true(I have no reason to disbelieve you) It may as well be 8 million miles from the City boundaries. They can shove that up their a**e.

Of the boundaries? Well that definition allows for 8 miles from the Ricoh, 8 miles from TGI Fridays or 8 miles from the Showcase Cinema at Walsgrave.

Perhaps they are following the nick Eastwood philosophy of telling supporters fuck all until afterwards.

Seems to have you creaming all over him.

Nobody is doing anything like that. He had a plan and executed it.

Or are you just being obstinate after you sat there for months making comparisons on 'Average League One rents' only to discover that Fisher's duplicity made you look a mug?

You more than anyone. It's odd behavior for a CCFC fan to have more to say about what Wasps have done than what SISU will do next.

Wasps. CCC. ACL. Higgs. Blame anyone but SISU. But if you've swallowed all their bullshit, you're going lash out indiscriminately as otherwise you have to face up to having made the wrong calls time and time again

Sisu might buy some land within 8 miles of cov doesn't mean they will build a football stadium on it..
With HS2 on the way it may be their way of calling everyone's bluff incl the FL?
Who knows what land prices will cost when HS2 is finished

Isn't Tile Hill station on the city boundary? If so, the site could be 8 miles from there. Let's face it - '8 miles from the city boundary' covers a huge area.

Ummm. Yes? That's how a stadium management company's business plan works.

Wasps are owned by a hedge fund...by our own fans definitions, hedge funds are greedy, nasty people...right? So why would Wasps allow CCFC to sell exhibition space, say for £20k, when that could go into their own coffers?

Err, because Wasps need us there and will struggle without us?

The idea that CCFC start putting on their own events is pretty bonkers. Event management is it's own industry, we'd need to recruit staff with expertise and, as with starting any new venture, risk losing money. Plus we would be competing with several local companies who own their own event space and can therefore offer better deals.

Plus what happens if CCFC put on an event that's a success? Wasps, or some other owner operator of an event space, won't hire the space to CCFC the next time they want to put the event on and stage it themselves instead. Complete non starter for me, too much of a risk.
