Just remember where you got it from

sorry italia but I posted this about 3 months ago as a possible site, next to Webster's Park but as I'm from Rugby didn't know what it was.Looks big enough to take an arena, looking at the size of the Ricoh scale but how contaminated is it? would the CCC allow it to be developed and there be two stadia close to each other, Sheffield's grounds are miles apart as are Nottinghams although in our case, each would be for different sports exclusively. is it a goer??

You've obviously not been to Nottingham then?

Yes I have to both, and looking I realise they are closer than I thought, but maybe being separated by the river has made them seem further apart.

This seems the likely explanation to me, as the FOI requests have been badly worded. There is no need to mention CCFC in the questions – just ask about discussions with ANY party regarding proposals for a stadium development.

Any land dealings could easily be in the name of separate entities in true SISU style – after all, even Coventry City Football Club Ltd. didn’t having anything to do with the football club did it? It was just a “non-trading property subsidiary”.

The owners could have cleared up the confusion at any time in the last year or so with a simple public statement, explaining why the FOI requests have drawn a blank. You’d think they’d want to defend their reputation, but no - they prefer to take the piss and keep people running round in circles. The same slimy attitude comes through in virtually everything they do, which is why I’m really struggling to retain my love for the club.

You know that famous Lucas quote "commercial confidentiality"? Well it applies to FOI requests so even CCC will say they nothing even if the planning application is inside boundary

They use the empty stadium for parking when the one side is at home.
Used the Notts County club when playing Nottingham Forest.

Place it in Rowley Green behind Leekes and do the same.

Not too fussed about it being outside of Coventry if it is there then? ;)

You could be right – but that still means the club could clear up this up for the fans, if they cared two hoots about the negative effect of this FOI debate.

Only RFC believes it. There is nobody else that does.
The arguments are around which would be best if we had the options, the Ricoh or a new stadium.

I'm saying we need to get the best deal we can at the Ricoh s as it's the only option.
The longer Sisu play games the less chance we have of that happening.

There is a huge assumption that SISU, or one of its many divisions or CCFC are trying to buy and or build a standrum on a piece of land.

My thinking is either (and this is my thinking on things from deepest darkest Essex)

1. A third party is buying the land for a major retailer, the stadium complex will be part of this land., therefore FOI requests will come up negative.

2 (AND THIS FITS SISU's business model) Brum CC need to raise funds and are trying to sell off the NEC and land around it, The Blue noses are also in financial trouble, due to owner, it would make sense (in SISU's eyes, but not to any football fan) to build a new stadium at NEC for both teams to share, SISU then get to sell off chunks of NEC and make some money back.

Note, not for 1 minute would I support option 1 or 2 , but it might answer some of the confusion, but I pray I'm wide of thihe mark

I agree with you pal, but the issue is, why is everyone still saying what if this and where will it be like they are hanging on to the hope that SISU actually are doing something, when its plainly obvious after 18 months of bullshit they are clearly not.

They only come out with little pieces of information so their is no backlash from the fans for yet another bollocks window, and losing out on the one thing they wanted the most to another hedge fund.

They have no business model left and no where to turn, so will continue to talk drivel to ensure the fans stay on side, yet no one seems to be able to see this.

It is complete bollocks that everyone is happy to go along living in hope, rather than say enough is enough, show us the plans / details / information, or we shall start kicking up a fuss as a fanbase again, and SISU know full well if the paying customer was to walk away now in mass demonstrations, they really would have no other option but to fuck off.

No could about it - it is correct you will get no response to an FOI request where commercial matters can be affected

Also in the real commercial - as compared to Football Supporters Fantasy land - you do not openly declare any interest in a deal until it is done

I mean how much notice did WASPS give their supporters ( or us ) about the Ricoh?
