Got to do it

Alsopp - 5 Was a bit slow off his line a couple of times in the second half and seemed to labour to get back for the third. That said who would want to play behind that back 4

Penington - 5 Did OK but got caught inside for goal one
Haynes - 3 Trying his best to become the new Andrew Whing. A defender who cannot tackle and has no positional sense at all.
Webster - 3 Webster is error prone and his errors are always costly. Stupid to bring him in
Martin - 4 Poor defending for goal 3 and lacks mobility.

Fleck - 4 Such good news John has agreed a new deal - well good for the other league one midfielders who must be relishing coming up against him for another year
Thomas - 3 Passing not too bad but missed the two best chances including one from one yard
O Brien - 5 Lots of huffing and puffing but terrible free kicks and poor distribution

Jackson - 4 The invisible man - non existant
Madine - 3 Seemed to be trying to become the new Mick Ferguson but without the goals and heading ability. We really want to pay a fee for him
Nouble - 6 At least moved forward with an element of purpose but why he is defending at left back in the first half who knows

Allsop - 5 Was poor after a decent period from him.

Pennington - 3 Shocking at right back.
AGAIN.

Webster - 3 Pressley loves to pick this grandad doesn't he?

Martin - 4

Haynes - 4

Fleck - 3 absolute bottler.

Thomas - 3 how did he miss??

O'Brien - 4 bar last week, he hasn't played well in a while.

Jackson - 3 Terrible for a player of his stature. He is an ex Premier League and Bundesliga striker...

Madine - 4 he really isn't interested is he?

Nouble - 6 MOTM taking away the penalty. Worked hard and was our only threat.

would agree with most of what you say but nouble why he is defending at left back in the first half who knows

Because you just have to remember its about work rate the manager said so

Allsop - 4 not great
Pennington - 3 not a right back

Thomas - 3 poor
Fleck - 3 poor
O'brien - 4 poor
Jackson - 4 poor
Madine - 4 poor
Nouble - 5.5 better than the rest but no end product, and gave away the penalty

Noubles playing leftside in a 4231/451 its his job to help defend - rooney does it, hazard does, walcott does it, Joe Cole used to do it, etc

Fleck & Connor demonstrated tonight why they don't score many goals. As for Webster dreadful and MAdine thats twice recently he's had a clear sight of goal and turned away.

Alsop-5. Bit of a step backwards on recent form, wasn't great for the goals, didn't command area well.
Pennington-4. Not a RB. Really, really should have at least hit the target with his header.
Martin-3. Rubbish, carthorse, donkey. Worse than Seabourne?
Webster-2. Double-donkey. Couple of decent headers save him from a 1. Too much bad stuff to list!
Haynes-4. Couple of decent tackles but not great positioning and doesn't overlap like he used to. Poor crosses today.
O'Brien-6. At least grafted, won a few balls, but technically, very poor. Lacked support from RB/ST's.
Thomas-3. Some pressing and tackling but those two chances were completely shanked.
Fleck-5. Couple of decent balls and a few tackles, one who improved a bit second half, but still too deep and blew a great chance when he passed rather than shooting.
Nouble-8. Some good runs, some good holding the ball up waiting for support that never came, two cracking crosses that should have been buried. Worked hard defensively, possibly too hard, hence the pen!
Jackson-4. Missed decent chance due to terrible first touch. Seemed to be trying but fed nothing and when he did get the ball, he was constantly tackled and lost possession. Too weak.
Madine-4. Worst performance for the club? Got no service, tbf, but needs to show a better attitude.

Seabourne-6. Couple of nice touches. Another player that we're miles from getting the best out of.
Thomas-4. Just looked totally out of his depth, so fitted in quite well...

Alsopp - 5

If they have a genuine chance if signing Kirkland I beg them to do it. It will change the whole defence overnight

Penington - 5
Clearly not a FB play him at CB

Haynes - 6 young lad bags of potential needs to be surrounded by a team playing with confidence before his own confidence us beaten out if him.

Webster - 4 need Pennington to replace him

Martin - 6 Needs a partner with similar ability

Fleck - 6 clearly a class above the rest but needs to be the out and out creater in a team with wingers. Needs a tough tackling midfielder beside him

Thomas - 5 Bottled his best chance for a goal

O Brien - 5 Still in shock that we lost Baker for him

Jackson - 2 His wages need spending elsewhere

Madine - 6 him Fleck and Nouble need to be surrounded by players if the sane level their talents are wasted in this team and these tactics

Nouble - 6 Needs to play as a striker

I don't have any ratings to give but its sad to see people get on Haynes back, he's an extremely talented lad and positioning and awareness will come in time, I reckon he'll be a winger by the end of next year

He'll come good, he's playing in a very poor struggling team, not the best time to cut your teeth.

A poor team has a way of dragging anyone with talent down to their level. A good team has a way of raising people up to their level. I think we all know which one we are. We've seen it with several new arrivals this season. It's now happening with Pennington and Madine. They arrive with optimism, raring to go, and pretty soon they are beaten down with no confidence just like the rest. I don't think we can assume that all the players playing poorly are lacking talent. There is a team-wide lack of organization and tactics that I think has to be put down to the manager. He seems to be lacking in the ability to field a team with players playing in their best positions, his tactics are often woefully misguided, and his substitutions often unfathomable. Even more worrying, he repeats the same mistake over and over and seems unable to learn from them.

dont agree with people ratings of Jackson he worked hard and got into a couple of good positions. think he needs to work on his sharpness. But in all fairness to him when you have that shite in midfield hes never going to get a tonne of chances

No one has mentioned Pressleys ratings as a tactical inept and useless manager so here goes..

Pressley -5

I had never seen anything so bloody dire in all my life last night. No-one wanted it - there was no passion, no hunger. Swindon weren't even exceptional, they just played football and we couldn't even manage the basics. Absolute dire.

And for those who thought Nouble was the best player, Jesus, you must have been watching a different game - he was awful and barely passed the ball, trying to take it on all the time and getting nowhere - why the hell was he on the wing and the only one crossing it in, the crosses were shite. That said, so was the movement and support.

They must have got some kind of rollicking at half time as the closing down and pressure in the second half was miles better. That's what they should have been like from the start of the game!

Sure, it was always going to be a tough game but really, we could have got a draw if we actually wanted it last night and had more options going forward in support.

I think Pressley got it wrong, and the players let themselves down and the fans, most of them just didn't bother. Why the hell JOB was taken off when he was one of the ones actually putting some effort in is beyond me! God it's so friggin' frustrating supporting this bloody club!

The signing have been crap in my view, I say turf them out and go back to the drawing board!?

The only players I would even keep in the team is O'Brien, Fleck, Haynes, Finch and possibly Johnson (although what's the point when he's always injured).

The rest are fucking useless... But granted, a few of them could probably play a lot better if it wasn't for all the other donkeys around them on the pitch.

Agree with most people on most players... But I really don't know how anyone can rate Martin higher than Webster.

Webster was not good, but Martin was dreadful and his efforts for the third goal was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.

Webster is a shambles and is constantly a liability I had a few friends texting me who are non CCFC fans saying how the hell is Webster a professional footballer, says it all really.

Martin was bullied too much last night for my liking, in fact the whole team was.

The first few minutes they had two battlers in the middle who gave ours a few bumps and we did not want to know after that, we never played anywhere near as a unit and had square pegs in round holes all over the pitch.

Absolute dreadful, Madine was a lazy twat last night too, rather Nouble in the middle if hes going to sulk and not bother chasing any thing down.

Allsop 4
Pennington 2 Where was he? He left so much space on the right side
Webster 0 Get the useless sack of crap gone. He's slow, doesnt use his strength, gives the ball away all the time, always makes costly errors and decides to put it out for a corner rather than passing to a teammate
Martin 4 At fault for the 3rd
Haynes 4 Whats happened to him?
Fleck 5 Average
Thomas 2 Normal service resumed. Bring back Barton
O'Brien 3 No urgency. Didnt release the ball when he needed to
Nouble 7 M.O.M, always looking to create something
Jackson 5 One of the few players to look interested
Madine 4 Was fantastic in the 1st 5 minutes. Didnt hear a peep from him since

Sorry, meant Swanson as the sub. Had Seabourne on the brain after my Martin comparison. Both destined to end up disappearing into obscurity in Scotland, anyway...

Never at it. Predictably shit.

Nouble could have seen red on a different day or if the ref had seen the stamp/follow through....

I had a pleasant evening in the pub though......nice barmaid, good peroni, posh crisps.....

...drank enough to not care about the 3rd going in.....

ahah

you give people a 3 with no comment

but because nouble did better you still have to put a negative spin on it

you just hate him, and its horrible the reason why.

I don't hate him, I just don't think he's that good. I said Nouble was our best player, he was still only 5.5 in my view so of course I would put a negative spin on it. Get over yourself.

Unless you need glasses, I gave a comment for those I rated 3 - "Poor".

The Thomas miss from 1 yard out and Pennington's header over from 5 yards out were both clearcut chances created by quality Nouble cosses. I think you must have gone to the loo when they happened!

So two crosses from him could have been converted (based on our finishing, we would have needed at least 20 to convert 3 goals).

What else did he do all game other than give a penalty away?
