So, excuse my lack of knowledge on this but please bare with me. I have not read everything yet.
Did ACL lose 400k without CCFC playing at the Ricoh?

There are a few that could have been called very pro-CCC/Higgs over the whole saga, such as Chiefdave, Duffer, James Smith, who(though always well argued) were very vociferous in their defence.

Since the whole Wasps saga has come about they've come to the realisation that all wasn't maybe as painted by the main protaganists and have looked at the whole thing more objectively, not as a "Sisu" or "ACL/Higgs/CCC" 100% black and white issue.

Fair play to them for that, shown that their views on franchising, supporting local clubs and communities etc are genuine and not just thrown out to make some sort of point.

Wonder why some can't look at things in the same manner.

Some of them like to boast (as if anybody really cares) about being mates with the Wasps establishment instead.

Hey man, this is a thread about council scumbags, you brought up coldplay! I just think its silly shit that's hip to say... Until those in the limelight choose the next whipping boys. Grow a mind of your own weeman.

They were actually mentioned earlier in the thread Samo. Hey ho, I'm cool that my thoughts are my own, I have a mind of my own and don't say things to be 'hip'.

Have a nice day!

Dear Tim......

No one on here actually supports Fisher though, do they? Lucas has had unquestionable support from her lackies on this forum. If you are comparing her to Fisher then this doesn't put her cronies in a good light does it? Sadly their sisu obsession has clouded their judgement and sisu's demise and the councils success is now their priority.

I don't know how anyone can read that Q&A at the end of the Observer article and not be fuming. To me if CCC didn't have something to hide you'd see straight answers to simple questions.

As for claiming the match against Leinster will bring millions into the city what a joke. What evidence do they have to support that. Of course if one Wasps match brings in millions how much was lost to the city by us playing a season in Northampton? How much more will be lost if the unthinkable happens and we end up moving out of the city on a permanent basis.

And to top it all the money has come out of council funds, so essentially it is taxpayers money that has been used. Another case of, if we're being charitable, misleading statements from CCC. The less charitable may say it is another outright lie.

The American model for building City owned exhibition facilities is to fund it with a bond issue that is then paid back with local City lodging tax i.e. $1 dollar per room per night and also increased food & bev sales from out of city visitors, which means local jobs are created.

in the UK, we can't have local taxes, so the economic impact falls reverts to pure increased hospitality spend (food, bev, lodgings, taxi etc), which is hard to measure accurately. You tend to use a simple metric of visitor to Ricoh from CV postcode =£7.50 spend, outside CV =£22.50 (made up figures). So this Leinseter game could be £75k local and £112k out of town spend (randomly made up figures).

Maybe ACL should have taken a leaf out of SISU's books and not filed the accounts on time? So ACL have won a game of poker CCC/HIGGS - people foreget if they had not stepped in then the Ricoh would not have been built and we would of been homeless a lot sooner. oOr maybe pay a high rent on HR would have been OK? Unfornunately we will nevr know now.

At least AL has come out and fessed up. Have the other side done that? Did I miss it?

I can't believe how much some of our own fans hate their club, or maybe they are just a bit thick.
'Fessed up' - are you an American teenager working for the council?

I'm afraid to say there was.
Going back as far as around 2005 ish, Winkie was telling people he wanted to franchise the Saints. MGI are acting out Winkie's dream.

Yes he may have wanted to... but Saints were not remotely interested.

I want to Moonwalk... it doesn't make me Michael Jackson.

Just like the people who proclaimed the club was ripping off a kids charity.. then Wasps came along to do it and it wasn't an issue..

Its just like why do the self proclaimed 'I dont care about the football club as I am so blinkered in my hatred of SISU that I cant see any other parties wrongdoing' get so upset that they have to keep trying a different angle in their posts to try to score points against other fans trying to make them feel big, when in fact it just makes them look small minded.

Lucas clearly stated yesterday one Wasps game will bring millions into the local economy, how is that correct? Any ticket money, revenue from F&B etc will go to Wasps so straight out of the city. The only spend that will benefit the city is in pubs around the ground and things like that. Even if it sells out you'd need every single person to spend over £30 just to hit a million, let alone millions.

And of course if on Wasps match is worth millions how much did our season in Northampton lose the city? How much will be lost if Fisher does actually move the club permanently outside the city?

Don't blame her for lying at all. SISU withholding the rent meant the council had their backs to the wall. You have to fight fire with foire in those circumstances. SISU were gunning for the freehold as Sepalla stated quite clearly herself in the CET article. SISU got outmanoevred in the end and I have no sympathy with them. Live by the sword die by the sword.

This all started before the rent strike. Fisher had two main thrusts to his argument. That the rent was too high and that ACL were reliant on the club - basically the club were financing ACL through the rent but receiving none of the benefits. Unbelievable, and I never thought this would be something I'd say, he turns out to be right on both counts!

The follow on from that is that CCC were always negotiating from a false position. If from day one, before the rent strike, CCC had admitted the rent was too high and that ACL were reliant on us being at the Ricoh who knows how things would have worked out.

The stadium was built for the club and the club would always be the main customer.
Obviously the club were the main financier of ACL that's what the stadium was all about.

When your main customer leaves unexpectedly of course it was going to challenge the business plan.
We can either drag this on to the death of CCFC, ACL and Wasps or we can try to make something of it.

Wasps need CCFC, CCFC need the Ricoh so let's push both to sort out a long term deal.
Wasps have talked about it yet Sisu appear to be ignoring it and continue to challenge in the courts using CCFC money.
I get irritated by people that just keep whining, can't offer solutions and like to be victims.

People have had enough of it all and are just walking away.

Ok so does this revelation mean anything other than a lot of mud slinging and arguing? Does it give any way of changing the current status quo? Will sisu's Lawers be rubbing their hands at another legal bout?

What happens next?

Ahhh. You want facts to counter you're opinion ;)

Yes, that's exactly what I want.
I have been proven wrong in many of my assumptions by different posters like Duffer, PWKH and (in particular) OSB.
For me that's the essence of a debate - to gain knowledge, to test opinions and assumptions and hopefully get to a mutual understand of the issues.
We need to wipe out myths and false facts - even if they were created by me!

So it was obvious ACL were dependant on CCFC all along then? Strange, we had people on here going out of their way to say otherwise.

This constantly gets chucked about.. please explain how SISU can extract money from the revenue of CCFC (the football club) and use it to spend on lawyers?

The sale of ACL has nothing to do with the football club? Fuck me, this is probably one of the biggest things that happened to our club (in a bad way ofcourse).

Jesus Christ, I feel like I am watching Me, Myself and Irene.

Alot of people say alot of things on here. A lot of people also say very little to nothing about our owners obvious failings which have and still are having the most dramatic and catastrophic effect on our club but are happy to write essays on other contributing parties or change the subject onto other parties or blame other parties. Well every other party are out the window now, the Ricoh dream has gone and what happens next is all about SISU. I bet a lot of people won't recognise this or turn their attentions to the future of the club (if it has one) and the custodians of the club. They'll continue looking backwards and slapping each other on the back when something like this comes out because they find it a happy distraction from what's happening rights in front of them.

They say supporters get the clubs they deserve. The way things are going I won't but a lot of people will because they're too busy looking backwards, slapping each other on the back while ignoring the car crash they're heading for.

MMM, bigfatron, skybluetony, and Italia start wearing "Je Suis Anne Lucas" t-shirts in solidarity.

I've checked with a local t shirt printer and it seems they have a "Je Suis Tim Fisher" template they can alter for not alot of money. Apparently they had a run on them yesterday.

Maybe because people aren't on here trying to defend SISU to the death so there is no need for people to write in detail in reply to them to make it sink in? Plus you will find that most of the SISU out type posts are usually factually incorrect, so people point out where it is wrong. If somebody comes on here and says "Yes but SISU have had us in admin twice" and somebody says "No, it was once". It isn't defending them, it is just wanting the truth and the facts.

If you want to stop the back slapping I suggest you take a look towards the trust and these silly protests you defend that are done with the aim of back slapping and status rather than actually doing anything.

Err. Yes there is and not just RFC. There was plenty of back slapping going on at the prospect of the smoking gun that never was and other SISU cheerleading during the court cases by people who thought that they were intelligent enough to take what SISU QC's were saying as fact while discounting the apposing argument. One poster even convinced themselves that SISU deliberately lost as they couldn't accept the judges decision. You could even argue that writing essays on the other parties while ignoring the destruction of our club by it's custodian is defending SISU by stealth. Ignorance is bliss.

Like I've already said. Its SISU's show from hereon in. There is no outside influencing parties and if it gets to Hereford's situation it will be too later to start questioning our custodians. Still yo have some time in the sunshine waxing lyrical about CCC, that's all that matters. Enjoy.
