Lets get Nigel Adkins in and appoint Pressley his number 2 (2 Viewers)

I think under the circumstances Pressley would learn a lot from Adkins. The club is not a place any manager out there would relish is it? Adkins knows these leagues and did a great job at Southampton under similar restraints.

If I could get that arrangement I would do it but will SISU see the light?

Give Adkins a performance related contract till the end of next season with the task of grooming Pressley for the future.

It just might steady the ship and bring a turn around on the pitch. No one needs to be sacked.

Have you been eating space cakes?

This is bizarre even for you. Do you really think Pressley is going to step down and be number 2 after 2 years of being manager?

And Adkins had megabucks at southampton - probably the biggest wage bill in league one, and the financial power to pay £1.5m for Lambert, £1m Bernard as well as a host of other transfers.

And as I've already said on another thread Pressley has been a manager for 5 years and managed around 250 games, he is no longer a rookie manager.

I'd be happy with Ainsworth from Wycombe and I'd take a punt on Edinburgh from Newport as long as his assistant came with him.

Haven't we got enough Wycombe ex-Pats in Coventry :(

We too, like SOuthampton, suffer from having £millions of pounds pumped into us by a family dynasty.

Well, for what it is worth, I think that Pax is on to something here. It depends on how it is couched surely but the fact remains that SP seems to be out of his depth and some help is needed. Carry on like this and we are going only to L2.

He isn't going to step down to number 2 though is he, the only other option is him sacking off his number 2 and bringing a more experience number 2 (like Nilsson and jim smith.......). Can't see him doing that either, he's been his number 2 since he went into management.

It's a non starter.

Get Jim Smith in to be his Assistant, that usually works.

tbf, Coleman always had Steve Kean as his assistant, until we moved him aside and got Steve Harrison in.

Turned out well that time.

Grooming is illegal and as criminal as sisu and pressley remaining in charge

Obviously Pressley isn't going to step down to number 2.

I see four options
1. Sack him
2. Offer him a less hands on role in terms of first team like a director of football/head of youth
3. Bring in an experience, proven successful assistant manager
4. Let it carry on as it is and continue to be shit

Pressley shouldn't be anywhere near the set-up and being relegated to assistant manager after this length of time in charge would take his already laughing stock status amongst the players to one of no respect whatsoever. Either you keep him and bring in a senior director of football to guide him, or you sack him and hire an experienced head ASAP.

I know what I prefer.

Yet another meaningless joke thread, please step into the real world of business & finance and take a very long hard look at where EVER sacking a CCFC manager has got us or achieved in the last 30 (no that's being far too generous) NO 20 or so years?

I rest my case. PUSB!!!!!!!!!!

Not sacking Strachan and Thorn got us relegated -- not sacking Pressley will lead the same way. You have no case.

You're right, Mark Robins couldn't do any better than Thorn. Pressley has shown no sign at all that he possesses the ability to get this team performing as it should-good performances seem to happen by accident rather than design and when selections are forced upon him or the players defy his instructions. We let Thorn drag us into League 1 and mark my words Pressley will drag us into League 2 if he isn't stopped.

Correct but what has sacking all those other managers ever got us?

Oh a couple of wins we all start cheering the messiah, then bang we are back to square one again, no money shit players watching woeful football selling our main players and blaming the stay a way fans for it.

Sorry but I can't see the end of the tunnel any more.

I have always blamed Sisu now I have just had enough, let them have it, do it their way and just hope we come out the other end.
Couldn't even be bothered to go on Monday. And I haven't got Sky Sports.

Even today it was 3.30 before I remembered to turn the Radio over from Planet Rock to CWR first time ever:mad:

Come on, Swindon have less resources than us, the side that started against a us were a bunch of kids, 5 loan players and freebies. Our wage bill is more than adequate for this league.

The real world???? What the one where we are playing terrible and jokers like you thinks it's going to get better if we just sit and watch this idiot ruin our first team, youth team and any other team he can get his hands on.

Stop speaking sense. We need Messi and Ronaldo, that is why Pressley can't do his job :(

Definitely, look at swindon's side all youngsters - not dissimilar to us when Ranson was here.

Instead of text a sub maybe we can have a raffle and the winner is the manager. If you win you stay on, lose or draw you are gone and there is another raffle!

Surely more like if you win, you *don't* get to be manager?
