In which case you would have been banned a long time ago for your meltdown rants.

You know for a fact as soon as we start moderating you would be right up there whinging about freedom of speech and censorship. The moment anybody you agreed with got banned you would be going off on one, italia for example who loves a troll.

Oh all forums don't allow duplicate accounts to be made to come on and have a rant, you would be banned for that too....

Id get off the high horse, as if this was a strictly moderated forum like you wish for you would have been long gone. Unless you mean that only people you disagree with or don't like should be banned?

That stinks of somebody who walks around hitting people then cries and demands somebody gets told off if they get hit back.

Would I?

I've consistently asked for consistent moderation. Whether that's keeping non-football posts about the Wasps off this board (which you did, so must have agreed) or other thread derailing tactics.

Where in one of my "rants" (nice neutral language there mod) have I tried to derail a thread? When have I done it in the first few replies like this thread?

As always Nick your response is bollocks and insulting. Take your head out of your arse and realise your bias towards those you agree with. Everyone else does. Or is this another conspiracy?

Try, just for one, just for a change, see how it feels, try to reply with sense and logic instead of random attacks and insults.

Why, as the moderator of this site, do you think the posts I highlighted, considering when they were posted in the thread, are acceptable? Specifically in light of this rule:

Please Keep Threads and Posts On Topic

If you must ask somebody how they are and what they have been up to then don't post it in a thread about something totally different. Send a PM, that is what they are for.

If you feel like you must post something in a thread not to do with the topic then why not start a new thread about it?

There was a really good post on here in 2008, when the site first set up, from this really sensible guy who knew how to run forums in a balanced way. It's here: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/2070-Forum-Rules?highlight=forum+rules

Wonder whatever happened to that guy.

I'm reporting you to Shmmeee.

And I reporting you to Shmmeee.

See the level of discourse?

Find me one post this guy has made in the last six months that is anything to do with Coventry City Football Club instead of derailing threads and insulting people. Even Grendel got a slap when his trolling got out of hand. But because he's in the clique, it's allowed. Andreas, Fernando and LordSummerisle are others that add virtually nothing to any thread other than snark. The last two are quite funny, so I suppose that's OK, but their aim is not discussion, as OSB's was in his OP, it's snark and trolling. They aim to derail productive conversation. Your aim as a mod and admin should be to encourage productive conversation.

And to address your point about freedom of speech: it seems if I post up anything about Les Reid or SISU it goes pretty quick, but slander against councillors is perfectly allowed. Maybe because they're a little less litigious. You even took down one of my posts linking to The Fappening FFS. You're very happy to remove content when you feel like it, so let's not pretend this is some kind of US style bastion of free speech.

Ok so by rights consistent would have seen you banned when you had a duplicate account.... but you just ignore that bit yeah?

Can you point out to me where something has been moderated because I disagree and due to bias?

So you want me to try and reply without attacks and insults in a thread where you are attacking and insulting?

What is wrong with the word rant?

I notice the examples you give are only things you happen to disagree with also?

If you can point out any bias in moderating then please point it out?

Where in one of my "rants" (nice neutral language there mod) have I tried to derail a thread? .

I seem to remember you responding to one poster 'C*nt C*nt C*nty C*nt' (using the full spelling) when he wrote something obviously not to your liking.

I would call that derailing a thread.

Whilst we are all entitled to our opinions and differing views, I have noticed that most posts seem to deviate from the original posting. I am also amazed that there are quite a few on here who post abusive comments to comments made by genuine posters. Not my job to moderate though, is it Nick ?

It works both ways VOR. There are people who abuse those who are apparently SISU lovers/apologists, and those that abuse those who are Council lovers. Its just whichever group are being abused, one of them will make a fuss over it, and so we end up here.

Re Nick I think people forget he isnt the only moderator, there are others as well, who like Nick I presume have full time jobs that are far more worthy than dealing with the childish shit on here and all the finger pointing, moaning and whining.

If people dont like it, surely the answer is dont come on the site for a while until they can deal with it.

Ah so I deleted a link to porn?

I can name one Torch posted about CCFC which was the JSB christmas party, that's an easy one.

When you were sending me PM's threatening me with legal action because of a thread, did it get sorted??? Can you point out things that have been reported to me that have never been dealt with?

You have thrown around your fair share of abuse, you just seem to have an issue with taking it when people give you a bit back. To be unbiased and consistent should I just delete everything where people say things to you but ignore it when you give people stick also? Even in this thread you are giving people stick but as soon as it comes back you moan about it?

So every thread about SISU is deleted? Christ this place would be empty wouldn't it? Unless you think it is ok for people to post up directors addresses and then go on about going to their kids schools? If somebody posts Ann Lucas' address up then it would also be deleted, as it is too far.

I agree, you are more than welcome to report them. It does work both ways though, I could totally understand if I was sat here deleting some people's abuse but not others but that isn't the case.

When it comes to things being reported, everybody is treated the same (whether I agree or not).

There is a big difference between getting frustrated and lashing out and only posting to wind people up. While the first isn't acceptable either it is something most of us have been guilty of at some point. The later though has turned the forum into a cesspit and I don't see much of a way back.

That is the thing, I can totally understand if say one side says something and it gets deleted while the other side roams free to say what they want. It isn't the case.

If things get reported, they get dealt with. If things go way past the mark they get sorted.

I am happy for somebody to point out something that has been deleted just because I don't agree with it? I usually just say I don't agree.

I don't use moderation for my own evil gains, if I am wrong about something I leave it there and apologise. I don't delete it because it might make me personally look wrong or bad (it happens enough). The same as if somebody I have different views to reports something or sends me a PM, it gets sorted equally as it should. Their views don't matter if they are offended and report something. Even if I say something out of line and it offends people, I resolve it and apologise , I am only human.

If people want to start throwing insults around to others and they get some back what am I meant to do? I'm not a teacher. I don't run this site to look after a group of kids, everybody is old enough and ugly enough to look after themselves. If something actually offends then just let me know and it will be dealt with.

I have been banging on for months about people talking about football, it is just strange that all of a sudden more people agree with me?

If people want stricter moderation then again just let me know, they just can't moan that if something is deleted that they happen to agree with but was against the "rules".

Which is the main reason why I didn't use the site for a while. Sick of the situation with the Club, and then sick of all the pointless posturng that goes on here and seemed to escalate once the Wasp situation kicked off. The CCC and Sisu camps that seems to be promoted by some regular posters (who at times become the only posters) puts me, and I suspect others off becoming involved in threads. Most fans (including me) don't hold those extreme views (well, they wouldn't be extreme otherwise). Some of the stuff is thinly disguised as humour, and is just plain abuse, or even bullying. with groups of posters seeming to round on people at times - maybe I'm thin skinned or it just doesn't appeal to my sense of humour. The glaring lack of respect at times really is quite galling.

The reason I joined up to SBT was to understand more about the Club, as I don't live in Cov. To that means it has served it's purpose, but only at times. Difficult one for Mods though, as these are unusual times for us as fans, and freedom of speech should of course be encouraged - but then so should taking personal responsibility for what we post (including my less than perfect self of course).

Love and peace to all (well almost all ;)!)

Honestly, if things make you feel like that then just report or PM me (even if it is me that has said them). I don't want people to be offended so I am more than happy to resolve the issues as much as possible. Everybody is different, something may not offend you but may offend me, or may offend you but not me or even look close to abuse. Just drop me a PM and I am happy to look into things equally and fairly.

It's a great achievement to be part of a clique where you don't even know the other members.

I find it a bit rich that these accusations are coming from those who's views in general represent the vast majority on here. The minority (20 or so posters as mentioned earlier) are routinely abused, ganged up upon, shouted down and marginalized but I don't here them bleating. There are some big babies on here if you ask me.

I am sure if the team starts winning and the off the field stuff gets sorted (never know, may happen) then we will all love each other, and laugh at the "remember the in fighting". We shouldn't all agree with each other all the time, just learn some debating skills perhaps! I think you let stuff flow as much as you can Nick, which is way better that too much moderation which is a common complaint from fans of other clubs and their forums. Just feel we should all be a bit more respectful to each other at times that's all. Incidentally, I did PM last year on a similar theme, and you treated my views with respect, so fair enough (this won't turn into stalking, so don't worry!).

I agree, I might not agree with people on here but I would have a beer with them if I bumped into them. However like you say I think people get a bit too into it as they don't debate.

I do wonder sometimes what world some posters have grown up in though.

People also expect to throw abuse at me and not get anything back and then go off on one because the "moderator" (Yeah, I do have a real name) said something back to them. Sort of the like the personal threats people have liked to send me via PM because they don't like it that when they start kicking off they get a little bit back.

This is hilarious. You have now become a parody of your council worshipping self.

Trolling? Several on her. The biggest troll on here who changed opinion for effect strangely isn't mentioned on your list.

Not talking about football? Odd - the ones who never talk about football seem to escape your rage. Perhaps have a little look at "Martcov" and see his posting history. Show him a wasps thread and he's there in a flash. Player ratings thread? Well seemingly not. Still he remains loyal to the Polit Beareau so let's excuse him. The poster called Shmeee (well one I'd anyway) has a chasm when it comes to footie chat but there we go.

Of course your rant is understandable. You are in a cul de sac. People are questioning the council and their role. They want answers they want transparancy and they want the truth. Many are very anti sisu. You have nowhere to hide so now we indulge in North Korean attempts at suppression - or let's call it commercial confidentiality.

I think you said you are on your high horse. Well let's be honest if the measurement is a desire for honesty integrity the truth - or even a football related post - I think a Shetland pony would be too big for you little man.

I assume you want similar truth from SISU meaning they at least produce accounts for every year they have been in charge, name the investors in our club and show a bit of evidence that they are actually looking for land for this new ground. This one sided pro council pro sisu nonsense on here is ridiculous how about we all call the lot of them to account.

1. I don't live in England 2. Cov are not shown on Sky often 3. i work match days 4. The word Wasps gets brought into every non match thread by you, Nick, or Torch. so it is hard to avoid a Wasps thread. 5. The reason I read match threads etc. is to know what is going on. - I can hardly rate people who I have not seen play every game
