I have to agree with LJ on this occasion our squad is more than competitve at this level a lot speak crap when it comes to comparing league one squads....sadly sir ernie on that last post has joined the list!

I have to agree with Earnie. On paper we have some individual 'good' players but a good squad is more the sum of its parts than individual players. Our squad is imbalanced, doesn't fit any particular system, and lacks some key ingredients - we have no pace, we have no width, we have no real strength/nastiness in midfield, we lack leaders on the pitch, we lack goals from midfield, we lack any real variation, we have no one who can come off the bench and change a game. but we do have the best striker in the league in Jackson - he played PL don't you know ;).

Clueless.

It's as if people are oblivious to the fact that the majority of teams in this division are no better equipped than ourselves.

It's not as if Lee Johnson, Shaun Derry, Phil Parkinson and Robert Page are managerial geniuses either, which makes Pressley's record look even more atrocious.

So I assume Madine is up on his own again today. When even the player himself is saying that's a waste of time as he's no good up front on his own shouldn't a change be considered?

Let's hope the Reda effect is seen and we get 3 points today, we need to put some space between us and those at the bottom.

Yes I agree SP won't go after today win or lose so may as well win it tbh. Just parked up and walking in.

Lovely day just set up for us to lose. Perfect

Hilarious by CWR to claim the fans are getting on Websters back for one poor performance, he's been a main part of the worst Coventry defence ever over the last 18 months.

Out of interest, how would you set the team up?

Probably the diamond formation, not ideal but we have an abundance of central midfielders and no widemen. I also think centre halves oh this league have a couple of mistakes in them, so two upfront is more effective. It has its flaws, as do other formations, but as a squad our players fit it better than 4231, 352, 442 IMO.

Who would you play at the tip of the diamond? I don't think any of our players really play there? And who would you play as the CDM? Think would need an actually defensive midfielder in this formation? Not having a go just want to know? Who up front? Madine and nouble?

Is this Madine's last game?

If all fit maddison would be perfect at the tip of the diamond, I think swanson could do a job there too.

Up top I think you can only play one of madine or Nouble, they both need someone to play off them, and neither of the type of strikers to run in behind defences so would probably go for Jackson.

At the base of the diamond, that's a difficult one, but probably go for thomas then fleck/o'brien either side.

Like I said it's not ideal, but has to be better than playing a lone striker and 2 other strikers out of position.
All fit
---------------Jones
Phillips martin --johnson haynes
--------------thomas
----o'brien------------fleck
--------------maddison
---madine/Nouble----jackson

you think maddison is ready to start league one games regualrly? I would agree it suits him but don't think he is ready for it? I don't think it matters what formation we play atm tbh, the midfield is so poor that it doesn't matter.

Reda was full back at Sheffield Wednesday. Wednesday fans I've spoken to reckon it's his best position.
