Offer the same deal to the club on the same terms.

Mr Fisher has already gone on the record as saying they wouldn't have done the Wasps deal. So it would have been a wasted exercise. So what else should the council have done that wouldn't have broke state aid laws.

Maybe the leader shouldn't of said Hell will freeze over before they do a deal with SISU for starters

Sorry torch I know the article says that I think it's wrong. Doesn't really change much they clearly didn't want to deal with sisu and I suppose who can blame them. CCfc though is another question and whether they could have waited to sell i don't know

Over on GMK this created a pretty major squabble - I seem to recall Capt M, me and you being in the minority.

One could almost suggest morals went out the window, as long as the football club was alright...

It was also, FWIW, one of the reasons I was pleased when she took over as leader, as here was somebody prepared to stick to principle and see the state of the football club in the future as more important than the short term gain of one man. Her statements after becoming leader, too, were those of reconciliation.

It didn't occur to me it may be the King scenario that made her now 'ex fan' and, tbh, you might have a point. It would be a certain savage irony within there however, if contributing to an approach that sees the short term gain now nobble the football club, were not necessarily current actions, but past.

It makes me laugh that the fundamentalists once worship SISU and now despise them. Lucas once received bucket loads of abuse from them for speakling out against the club signing a sex offender, yet they would now let her sit on their nose.

what i dont understand are people that are happy with the fact they ever said this

NO CCFC FAN WOULD BE!

I don't think anyone is happy with what TF said to be fair. I think almost everyone thinks WASPS got ACL for a snip. Even the posters who use to say it was worthless.

Yes your right. Whenever someone says/does something we agree/disagree with, we must agree/disagree with every single thing that person does forever more.

That's the most sensible, logical way to form ones opinions.

What I don't understand is why people are angry because CCC didn't offer CCFC a deal they've gone on record saying they wouldn't have done.

What I don't understand is why some people who claims to support this football club aren't more angry that we will now never own a stadium that was built for us in our city, and are perfectly happy to welcome the ownership of a London Rugby Club. SISU and the council have both sold us down the river.

Oh we're angry all right. Yes many parties have done wrong but only one party is responsible. That is where our anger is directed.

I agree. I'm seriously pissed off that not only should SISU have taken the deal Wasps negotiated they also should have done it several years ago. I wish SISU could have seen the value in ACL that not only Wasps could see but also what us fans could see.

It is indeed true that only one party is responsible for selling the ground.

Well, I suppose it's really three parties...

CCC selling the ground to Wasps isn't the problem. The problem is CCFC have no ground of their own.

Now, who is responsible for CCFC?

You're saying we will never own a stadium, built for us in our own City. Fisher claims that's exactly what you're getting. The council have indicated in recent weeks that they'll cooperate. So what's your issue?

Unless you don't believe Fisher. You don't believe him and you think it's brinksmanship on his part. If that's the case; I simply can't see how you think there's some sort of equal blame.

You think the council are 'equally' to blame for not selling something to a man who says he doesn't want it, and you don't believe anyway?!?

He hasn't actually said he doesn't want it has he? Anyway I assume you believe Saint Anne of Holbrooks don't you and she said Hell would freeze over before the club were allowed to own the ground didn't she?

Or are you saying she lied when she said (or wrote) that?

Fisher has stated that a new stadium is being built. There's a forum and everything. Garlick woman. You may have heard about it.

I haven't heard him say he doesn't want the Ricoh in those words; but I - and the rest of Coventry - have heard him assert he's building a new one. I presumed, as he's building new, he wouldn't want the old one too?

Or are you now spinning the line he wants both?

Or did Tim and Joy lie when they said all or nothing?

Yes the council are partly to blame but the main blame lies with Tim and Joy always moaning no one would speak to them yet not trying to get in touch with any of them?
They/Sisu were offered help with getting meetings set up but always declined Why?

Funny how everyone who has dealings with Sisu fall out with them why is this?

Ah there you go.

Anyway you missed my point, Saint Anne said hell would freeze over didn't she? So we can never own the Ricoh and as you know 365 days revenue is vital (unless you now believe Uncle Nick is telling porkies as well)?

So no option is there as Saint Anne has said that the club would never own the Ricoh? Or are you saying she is lying as well?

Yes and funny how the new stadium being built has been around for loner then the dealing to sell the Ricoh to the Wasps?

Still waiting for the 6 week deadline to approach fuckin longest 6 week period in any of our lives:laugh:

Yeah. Side-step the issue that you were starting along a path of suggesting Fisher wants to build anew and wants the Ricoh, eh?

I don't know how you get a suit to fit Grendy, such are the size of your brass balls. You were the guy who dismissed the danger of SISU's gambling with our club by assuring all and sundry CCFC were the 'only show in town', dismissed the idea of a rugby club buying into the Ricoh with a sniggering scoff, spent weeks calculating and comparing 'Average League One Rents' when they were wholly irrelevant, lectured us that Fisher was the best CEO we'd had in years, and promised a Smoking Gun from the Judicial Review the like of which closed Churchills.

At every stage in this crisis, you could have been no more wrong if it'd been your express desire to be so; and still you pontificate on like you know anything at all.

As stated, you must have a gifted tailor

Well the 2 go hand in hand I would have thought.

"Hell will freeze over" you must have written that at least a dozen times on any thread you have seen fit.

Actually the one who isn't being truthful here is you.

That isn't what she is quoted as saying and you know it.

What does"we've moved on and are building a new ground" mean?
