What does"we've moved on and are building a new ground" mean?

What would you say if you'd been told that you bid wouldn't be considered? What he said I guess especially as wasps chairman said without ownership and 365 day revenues sporting clubs have no future.

When was anyone told this? Do you have a link? When did SISU prepare this bid that wouldn't be considered? Do you have a link?

I'll get you a link for TF and/or ML saying "we've moved on and are building anew" but I guess you don't need me to. I can get you a link to JS saying"we won't stand in the way of the Wasps takeover of ACL" but I guess you don't need me to. I can get you a link to TF saying "We wouldn't have taken the deal that Wasps did" but is guess you don't need me to. I can get you a link to AL saying "we'll listen to any serious offer" but again...

They had plenty of opportunities to have a bid considered. Remember the Higgs ordeal and the judge's 'no appetite for a deal' comment? Remember the 'conditional' offer you keep bleating on about that was based on the YB buy-out? The one thing recent events have shown us us that the parties whom SISU was intent on destroying, were susceptible to a deal. SISU just wouldn't cut one with candour. They blew it.

Your problem being that all your Average League One rent foolishness, or the football club being the 'only shown in town' has been proven to be wholly wrong. Rather than admit you backed the wrong horse, and that the policies you danced around and clapped with glee were those which destroyed the future of our football club; you won't face up to what was staring you in the face all along, and you're trying to find marginal fault in any other party you can.

You've finally, in the face of overwhelming evidence, had to shift your position from Fisher being the 'best CEO we've had in years' to acknowledging you can't believe a word the man says. Yet still blame others for not being able to cut a deal with this Willo The Wisp character.

I'm sorry, you must be a Wind Up Merchant, as I can see no other way you can, over time, try and justify so many conflicting opinions belonging to one person

Just in the same way you did with Thorny eh? As your comment goes to show, you have little interest in the football club and are more interested in getting one over on sisu.

And I don't understand why some people are so terrified that CCC may have been less than honest with the club or the taxpayer over the Wasps deal. Not saying they have, just saying that a lot on here seem pretty much hysterical over their defence of Lucas/CCC.

Surely, we want the truth and fine detail no matter who has helped shaft our club.

What I don't understand is why people are angry because CCC didn't offer CCFC a deal they've gone on record saying they wouldn't have done.

What if you've already had the truth?

Here we go again.

You need to have a right shit memory to think that CCC and AL are at fault for our football club not owning it's own stadium. It wasn't CCC that sold HR without a replacement on the way or funding for one. But it was CCC that got one built. It was CCC that gave our club a 50% share in ACL. It wasn't CCC that sold this share. It wasn't CCC that kept moving the goalposts instead of negotiating getting the Higgs share back. But it was CCC that finally said to everyone that they wouldn't wait forever on moving on with the arena and gave a time limit. It wasn't CCC that said they didn't want our club at the Ricoh or that we should build 'our own stadium'. It was CCC that said the door was open to negotiations though.

CCC could have done more in the way of not letting Wasps get the Ricoh. But they did much more than they had to....IMHO did more than they should have........to give our club a home.

The hissing fitting is more over people desperate to prove the council didn't tell us everything.

Must people realise proving that makes jack Sh@t difference in the whole saga.

Most of us are more interested in what now.

How can we fund this new stadium?
Where will it be?
If we can't why are we not forming partnerships with wasps.....club shop, physios, marketing, training facility ect ect
What is the plan for promotion
How can we get a greater share of revenues from wasps as part of a much longer term rent deal.

It is what she was quoted as saying in 2012.

Who by?

As just about everyone knows it was Mutton that was quoted as saying it. But certain people seem to put it to AL frequently and say that it was her although never showing anything with the slightest evidence.

You could be right if Mutton's first name is Anne.

So apparently "everyone knows" is not correct, which is why an independent review/audit/enquiry, call it what you will is a good idea. I'm sure everything will be fine and the Council have acted legally - though not morally - by the book. Fair enough.

Given the issues in Rotherham with cover ups and alleged criminal activity I would think even the most ardent CCc fan (are there any?-tongue firmly in cheek) would agree with grendel and torch that this major decision should be independently reviewed.

The same should be done on all aspects that have led us to where we are now. And there should not be anywhere to hide for all those guilty of leading us to where we are now. I would start with the time Richardson was at our club.

Don't disagree. The lot of them should face up to what they've helped "achieve", whether that be Richardson, McGinnity, Fletcher, Ranson, Fisher, Mutton, Higgs, Lucas.

Never happen, of course.

And what if we haven't? Does it matter if it's checked and double-checked? What are you worried about?

What are you expecting "the truth" to be? This whole quest for "the truth" has smoking gun part 2 written all over it and I doubt whether SISU, LR and the "more knowledgeable" posters on here will accept it so we can look forward to smoking gun part 3.

I'd like to know when we can move on from the conspiracy theories and start concentrating on our once great football club and how it moves in that direction again.

This whole "we want the truth" is a smoke screen created to distract from the real failings and I'm gobsmacked by the number of people falling for it and promoting it. Although I'm not gobsmacked by the ones falling for it.

We are not terrified we are just pissed off with a few looking for a smoking gun.
We can be almost certain the audit will show no unlawful wrong doing.
It hopefully will show the details on why the Wasps bid was considered and hopefully once and for all show Sisu for what they are.
Although the JR shows this anyway, a few people are disregarding it because of the continuous appeals.

We have a common goal to get rid of Sisu. I don't think we have anybody who wants them here?
Our common efforts should be to get rid of them in a way to suit the club.
IMHO they need to be pushed to put it up for sale and see what the interest is.
This won't happen until the JR is over, because they still believe that there is compensation money in it for them.
In the meantime we need to make them aware that we want them out at very opportunity.
Perhaps picking off individuals first. I suggest changing the battle to "Fisher Out" as attacking Sisu falls on deaf ears.

Come on, Tony. Don't deflect. As I said, it's a good thing isn't it to look at the whole process. You're convinced - and chances are you're spot on - that everything was done by the book, so why are you so edgy and feel you have to wade in with all the talk of "consipracy theories", etc.

I'll say it, so it's clear, I AM SURE CCC HAVE DONE EVERYTHING AS THEY SHOULD, so there's nothing to be defensive about.

No; my comments were that Thorn was compromised as manager due to his lack of support from the owners. I'm misrepresented as it suits people's agenda that I am so. I think I've offered you the challenge before - find any thread where I offer unconditional support of Thorn, or laud him as a manager and I'll give £100 to Children In Need.

If you can't find it - which you won't - then please stop misrepresenting me.

There's the challenge. Put up, or shut up

True. She wrote it, I think.

I am sure it was said to have been said by AL until it was proven to have been said by Mutton. The only problem is that if a lie or untruth is said enough people start to believe it.......unless the evidence shows the opposite like Fisher getting another stadium built.

Getting rid of Fisher wouldn't do much to help us. Joy would just get another mouthpiece to piss us all off with.

Well they've both got gravelly voices, but AL's is a little bit deeper than Muttons'.

Proven by who? The evidence is in front of you on handwritten notes from a meeting. Seems quite clear to me. Unless you think it's some kind of elaborate fabrication. Again, not sure why people are so worried about it and so quick to say "yeah but, yeah but". If she said it she said it. Seems she did. Maybe Anne Mutton said it too. Who knows?

She got her wish anyway and SISU/CCFC never got the Arena.

1, She gave SISU enough chances even when the litigation was flying about. But as we all know every request by AL and CCC was ignored by SISU as they thought they were the only game in town and were devaluing the arena for themselves only. And we were made to suffer as part of their plan.

2, What makes you say that she didn't want CCFC to own it? Was it nothing to do with her that our club was given 50% of ACL?

The whole situation is a deflection from what's going on at the club. The only thing I'm trying to defend is the club. If something dodgy has gone on it will come out, there will be questions asked and action will be taken for the simple fact a local authority is accountable by it's very nature regardless of whether its in Coventry or any other part of the country.

I would suggest it's SISU who are edgy their whole strategy has failed and another party has successfully doe the deal they wouldn't. So of course it has to be underhand, of course there must be some sort of state aid involved, of course there must be a truth to come out. Or is there.

I don't like the truth. We've lost the opportunity to gain control of the RICOH but I can accept it and I can accept that nothing about it was illegal or dodgy even though I don't like the outcome. Others seem to be having trouble with that.
