My apologies, I've clearly missed something. Why is he so disliked? What are thier criticisms?

Thought I'd reboot an old thread. Nobody wanted to discuss it at the time... any takers now?

the week after we hired him i was working in falkirk and got talking to one of their fans in the hotel bar he said he was fantastic at bringing youngsters into the team and getting them going but other then that he was a very average manager in the scottish league. to be fair seems to have been bang on the money did a great job with wilson has done well adapting haynes, willis and phillips for the first team but he cant train a seasoned player for toffee

Thing is wth cup runs, it can be down to a degree of luck, what sort of draw you have and also the fact that they are all just individual one off matches.

they entered in round 4 beat 2 lower league team and a team that finished 2 places below them in the league. our own cup run in the jpt that year was more impressive.

this whole lowly falkirk thing i dont understand when pressley got the job they were in the SPL 3 points adrift at the bottom of the table with 14 games to play after he took over they won 3 drew 5 and lost 7. in the last game they drew 0-0 at killy the team above them a win would have seen them stay up and killy go down. the following season they were the favorites for promotion and at the half way stage looked good for it they then lost 9 of their last 16 game to finish 3rd. they also finished 3rd the season after but it was much closer they missed promotion by 3 points.

maybe thats why falkirk fans see him as average

dont quite agree regarding haynes. if anything the lad looks scared to push on and take his man on in fear of a telling of or something. when he first burst onto the scene he played with a degree of freedom and without fear. im not sure thats the case right now!!!
