Great news for Wilson and no doubt a premiership striker in the making...

However what's the bet Waggott forgot a decent sell on clause and got tempted by the outstanding quality loans Bournmouth gave us instead....?

i think there is a sell on clause...dont worry steve waggot will insure it will be reinvested in the team!!!! ( meaning they will use that money to pay the existing bills rather than improve the squad)

He should stay away from Chelsea for the greater of his Career. They have so many quality youngsters out on loan right now, that i doubt they would want Callum. Same old sunday paper talk to be fair.

Terrible news I would say.

Wilson wouldn't get a look in at Chelsea and would be cast to the reserves.

For him to play in the Premiership he would need to go to one of the smaller clubs, such as a Stoke or West Brom or Swansea. Chelsea would be a very bad move for his career I would say.

He will probably earn some decent money, but he'll be the small fish in the big pond there. Better to stick with Bournmouth where he's valued, will play regularly, and the glory of achieving something (promotion hopefully) he'll actually be a part of.

Purely for the laugh I hope he does go to Chelsea for multiple millions and Sisu haven't put a sell on clause in the Bournemouth deal.

Then Chelsea loan him back to us along with 4 other players and we win the champions league in 4 years.

Edit: And Sisu leave, and I win the lottery.

good for his bank balance

I would think he'd be better off staying where he is for the moment, especially while Bournemouth are in with more than a good shout of going up themselves.

Agreed, but good for his bank balance. Even someone like arsenal who have got a track record of nurturing youngsters.

Chief Commentator!
He'd be better playing a season in the prem with Bournemouth and then if (or most likely when) they got relegated, he'd have prem experience for other clubs to have seen what he can do on the big stage to snap him up.

Chelsea would be a waste of his career! Only youngsters who seem to get a look in there are multi million pound foreigners.

He should look at it like the lad who signed for Leicester in the window. He says he turned down Chelsea in favour of them (might be bull but he said it) because he knew his chances of getting into their team were very slim and he wants to play games.

Yet Wilson has scored more goals at both levels?

You an your side kick still think Jackson is better than Wilson?

Bamford is technically a better player than Wilson from what I've seen of each player.

Also for your stats, Bamford left MK Dons in January with 14 goals in 23 games. Basic maths shows that if he kept that up, he would have 28 goals compared to Wilson's 22. He has also not played as much for Middlesborough.

Now for your championship stats, Bamford, has made 13 starts and 5 sub appearances and has scored 9 goals. Wilson has made 30 starts and scored 15. So, lets apply basic maths again by just doubling the starts of Bamford to get him close to Wilson's number of appearances and that leaves him on 26 starts 18 goals.

Great stats mate.

Yep agreed. Replacement for Berahino when he leaves Albion in the summer?

Firstly Bamford has made 18 league starts for Middlesbrough not 13 as you have incorrectly stated, secondly this season Wilsons goals to minutes is better than Bamford, thirdly it isn't Wilsons fault that Bamford isn't good enough to command a regular a starting place.

21 > 14

15 > 9

Basic maths mate.

By your other statements it's clear that having taken apart your argument of he's scored more goals, you have no other arguments as to why Wilson is better than Bamford other than your clear bias as he once played for cov.

goes to Chelsea then gets farmed out on loan for the next 2-3 seasons like the other 20+ youngsters there do every season.

pmsl, you can't even get your stats right and Wilson has a better goals to minutes at the highest level they have both played which you have totally chosen to ignore.

Your embarrassing yourself mate

Not gonna argue with me getting dodgy stats but that still leaves him with more goals than wilson if you use the data.

Or as some do, just make it up.

If you keep up your current post count up today for the next 5 years you will have more posts than Otis. Simple maths shows that you are the most prolific poster on here.

It leaves them on the same number of goals even. Thought Wilson had 14 not 15.

I stand by my statement that Bamford is a technically better player and will go further in the game than Wilson. Doesn't help with Bamford playing on the wing sometimes as well but there you go.

Well, if you scaled it up so they had the exact same playing time Bamford would have just under 15 goals as his goals to minutes is just under Wilsons but as you can't score a fraction of a goal.

Game isn't just about technique otherwise Barton would be one of our best players.

Or just stay at Bournemouth, as they will likely achieve promotion this season. Then when/if Bournemouth get relegated from the prem, he will be proven at prem level and maybe move to a mid prem team?

He will be an instant millionaire, even a multi-millionaire at 21. Tell me you would turn that down. If it should happen playing with the likes of Fabregas, Hazard, De Costa and co would make him better, he will still have his pace and the goals are no smaller so why do you think he would fail when the likes of Kane at Tottenham succeed. Wilson has proved he can do it at the top end of the championship so why not the Premiership.

Because he will rarely play.
