Brilliant piece of footballing decision making there Waggott? Now we know SISU have got no intentions whatsoever to make CCFC a stable football club. A kid in goal and an even younger one as back up...just f**k off SISU and leave our Club to bleed out on our own.

Lee Burge may be young, he may be inexperienced and quite possibly he's not good enough, but one thing he isn't is a kid!!

Can't believe we sold him like we did McGoldrick, SISU lining their pockets again.

I never said he wasn't "Good enough" perhaps you're right in saying he's not a kid. Only 17 starts for Nuneaton and 1 for Coventry is nowhere near enough experience for being thrown in at the deep end of first team football at this stage of the season. Remember what AT did to "Bigi" he nearly finished the lad off before his Pro football even started. Waggot had the final say about keeping Jamie Jones(Financially) yet he let him go back to Preston. Waggot has seen "whilst in charge" relegation TWICE. P**s poor at footballing decisions, don't you think?

This does look a lot like the managerial stuff has taken focus away from the playing side. Having said that, I hope everyone gets behind Burge and he has a blinder.

@ covmark....From what I've heard from people, Jones actually liked being at Coventry, and Waggot could have lengthened his loan with us, but chose not too. @ Torchy....Leave me have a rant?.....Like you do every time CCC/ACL are mentioned you mean?

the way people are reacting you would think he was the only keeper out there sat on a bench waiting for a loan move, relax burge plays saturday probably monday and the new gaffer brings in his choice of keeper next week, why does everything have to be a drama to some of you

A) Gone to bigger club?
B) Didn't like the situation here?
C) Other

C) other most probably. Put up with Burge and try and bring in another outfield player in on loan I reckon.

C) other - the new manager - who clearly has already been tapped up - will want his own appointment.

Well I '''for one''' hope if he is '''thrown in''' the lad '''plays a blinder''' and '''keeps his place'''

It would be worth someone challenging waggot on the strategy regarding goalkeepers this season.

It seems to have been after thought all the way through really. The club has focussed all its energies on outfield players but no attention to the keeper situation. Alsopp was perfectly acceptable despite fhe tripe thrown at him but be just left with a whimper - really odd.

'Wags' hasn't been challenged on the decision to give Thorn a pre-season to mess up the team or the decision to award Pressley a 4 year contract off the back of one game so he is unlikely to be challenged on transfers which have not impressed outfield or in goal.

No problem with Burge just the way they run the club. if Burge is good enough now how come he wasnt a few weeks ago when we loaned Jones. Just looks like they havent got a clue what they are doing that is all.

Why on earth would you renew a loan the week before a new manager comes in?

@ Samo....How about "Having a go" at the OP?

I thought I had. But OK... Shame he didn't stay, decent keeper IMO. Understandable though considering the timing. (See my earlier post)

Lee Burge is 22 ffs! no kid. He should grasp this chance to nail down a first team spot. Les Sealey did it as a nineteen year old and whilst we were in the final matches of another relegation battle from the top flight. Either give him a proper chance or ditch him.
