Last week I took a piss after the game and got riled listening to everyone moan about how poor we were.
This week I took a piss after the game and got riled listening to everyone go on about how refreshing the performance was!
I thought in comparison to last week, we were poor today. We had one or two flashes in the first half (and took our chances during this period) but other than that it was a nervy, backs to the wall performance.
Reflecting at this point it seems harsh that Pressley lost his job. The game actually panned out very similarly to last week: similar lineup and substitutions, similar scoreline. Our defence looked similarly solid last week until Pennington's moment of madness and, but for the injury to Stokes, we may have seen exactly the same team finish the game.
Anyway the big difference was the scoreline, and that always puts a different slant on things. We are where we are and lets hope we bring Mowbray or Rosler in on Monday to keep building. PUSB
