Wasps seriously need to sort this out. I can't imagine how crap it's going to be on Tuesday after they further ruin it tomorrow.

Do we know whether they are definitely going to put in a hybrid next session? If not, TM or whoever should just scrap the idea of trying to play any kind of passing football.

This is going to be the real test. This is the first time we haven't had any kind of recovery period isn't it. Tuesday could be real problem and if there's rain it could become very boggy too if we're not careful.

It was terrible today. In the first half fleck hit a pass to Samuel along the floor right in front of us in black 20, and the ball was bouncing all over the shop.

Pitch was poor however it was not the reason we turned to hoofing. We were doing fine passing despite the odd bobble.
Hoofing was playing into their hands and lost us the game

Come on Don, both us and Port Vale were struggling to pass and control the ball, you could tell neither side trusted the bobble of the ball. Not saying that it was the reason we resulted to hoof, but it was one of the reasons we couldn't get our possession game going.

Sorry Stu if we had stuck with our passing we would have won that game.
I saw the bobbles it was bad, however we still dominated when we played in that style .
We switched to hoof vale found it easy

It is worse than it was before it was re-done.

My worry with Tuesday is the fact that Bradford are brilliant on a poor pitch. Little Pennington will get bullied by Hanson.

We don't know whether we would have won it or not. We rarely dominated the game, first 15 yes, but after that it was fairly even, let's not forget we're the home side, home sides are supposed to be the more dominant. Having said that our second came from a hoof. After that initial period Port vale pressed, gave us very little time on the ball, and the poor pitch meant players didn't trust it so rather than take a Chance and have a touch had to put their foot through it.

The rare time we dominated was that first 15 minutes when we passed the ball.
Then hoof hoof hoof defeat. The last 70 minutes took me back to those dark days of AB.

Ah so it's a slight at the manager - what a surprise.

Or did we just dominate because we came out of the traps quickly got a goal within 3 minutes? Teams rarely dominated 90 minutes anyways nearly always ebb and flow. It was poor, but half of that was the pitch, and half of that was port vales pressing, which then relates back to the lack of confidence in the pitch. It was poor.

Watching our players try and pass the ball around today was painful. It isn't the sort of pitch where players like Barton are suited to.

Same for both teams? Northampton would have been better then? Why should Wasps bother, they bought the ground and we are tenants.

We could always try not paying the rent?

Why should wasps bother? Because they are hiring the pitch out? Should we pay for a substandard product? Or would you rather give Sisu another excuse to move us out of the Ricoh?

Sounds like a good idea if the pitch isn't looked after. Not many would keep renting a house if the windows had fallen out.

The pitch has marking on it but it's not that bad, are we just looking for excuses ?
We have played on much worse this season away.

It's not great though is it, is it that hard for you to admit that the Rugby had an impact on the deteriorating pitch?

Cant help be feel the FL have made a big mistake in not allowing L1 & L2 clubs use 3g astro pitches especially if pitch is shared with Rugby team. Financially it would keep groundsman cost down and as in the case of Falkirk's pitch play true even at this stage of the season.

Looking at league2, Nortampton lost to Plymouthl a set back from their recent good form. Play offs for them still outside possibility.

More worrying is the decline with Tranmere; look at them a couple of years past.

The pitch is poor but the players themselves are the same standard!

I thought the grass looked a bit longer today but I guess they are getting it ready for the nations number 5 sport (if they are lucky) tomorrow.

I don't think that it is just down to rugby being played on the pitch. When we returned to the Ricoh the pitch was appalling after that games convention where half the grass was missing. It got steadily worse and Wasps had this temporary pitch laid to try and get us all through the season. It looks like the pitch didn't have time to bed in and basically the fix didn't work. Had Wasps not arrived we would almost certainly have been playing on that previous mess which I would guess would have been every bit as bad by now.

They assured us all that this new type of pitch next season will be able to stand up to football and rugby. Let's hope so.

And our results were arguably better....

**tin hit on**

So were our players....
We were shit no commitment lazy passing and no real desire we could have played on a brand new pitch and we still would have lost.
Sorry but this is the poorest team I have seen in 40 odd years of supporting the city.
